The boutique room exceeded our expectations, the isolated rooms with own entrance and super high vaulted ceiling and the decor made us feel in our own house rather than a hotel room. The pub serves excellent food and Brockenhurst is perfectly located to explore New Forest.

Brockenhurst was a great location for us as we were visiting Beaulieu motor museum. We wished we had stayed for longer as we would have had time to explore more like some of the beautiful walks. On our way to the motor museum we drove through the national park the scenery was lovely. We had evening meal at The Filly Inn the food was excellent.

Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods.
Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods. Best times to enjoy the New Forest are probably early Spring or Autumn. Parking a car or larger vehicle can be very frustrating at peak times and electric charge points are very limited in public access areas.

Brockenhurst is only a small forest village but it has lots of fantastic pubs and even a hotel.with a spa. It's central for visiting the new forest and the train station makes a day trip to Bournemouth car free!
Lots of walking on the doorstep, period houses, ponies and donkeys walking about and a great bakery for picnics .

The snakecatcher was a great place to eat along with the local curry house.
There was plenty of places to get your food shop done and the people of Brokenhurst are so friendly.
Where else can you go shopping and bump into donkeys!

House was in perfect position just by local shop.
House was in perfect position just by local shop. Very clean and had everything we needed. Wasn’t sure how washing machine worked but as stay was short wasn’t used. Perhaps instructions would help. But thanks to host it was all perfect. Would recommend
The hotel was well positioned for exploring the New Forest. Our room had been upgraded to the four-poster room when we checked in, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel management had also left a gift and card for us in our room.
The Spa facilities were a great extra that made our stay very relaxing.
All of the staff were amazing and really helpful. The lady on reception gave us some great tips for exploring the local area.
Good central location for visiting the New Forest and Dorset coast. The property had a dishwasher and washing machine. The street parking worked well for the times that we were at the property. A parking clock was also provided for guest use in New Forest District Council car parks. It was pretty cool to be right in the heart of Brockenhurst among the hustle and bustle of the main Street.
The Thatched Cottage Hotel is in an excellent location, with restaurants, pubs and the railway station only a couple of minutes walk away.
The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and you could of had as much or as little as you wanted. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We enjoyed tea and cake, gin and coffee in the garden which was lovely
The room was very well-appointed and the owners had thought of everything in terms of our comfort. The location is a 15-minute walk from the centre of Brockenhurst and very well situated for exploring the New Forest. Parking was available on site, and there was a delightful garden for guests to relax in.
Location is the best thing about the huntsman
Really central for restaurants and also for exploring the new forest
As for the hotel the staff are very helpful and polite
We stayed for three nights and ate dinner in the restaurant one night, good portions and tasty food
Location is perfect for those wanting to explore the new forest. You're a stones throw from Brockenhurst (lots of great pubs and eateries) and short drives to Lyndhurst, Lymington etc.
House was a perfect size for the 4 of us - good amenities to cook our own dinner!
All of the staff were super lovely, the hotel itself is gorgeous & very cosy, our room was lovely and modern (shower etc.) and bed super comfortable. Lovely touch to have the room smelling of lavender when we arrived and the radio on. Breakfast was also super tasty!
Staff were very helpful and friendly and made some lovely gestures when they knew it was my partners birthday. Food was delicious. Would highly recommend rhinefield house hotel. Added bonus is that the black water tall trees trail is very close by too!
Trendy chic of the hotel was an unexpected and pleasant vibe, staff friendly and uniforms great, room was a modern take on art deco, really cool, breakfast lovely, location ideal to observe the ponies. Within 15 minutes walk from Brockenhurst
Beautiful location in the New Forest. Lots of scenic roads of course. The restaurant was exceptional. We invited friends for afternoon tea and it was delicious. We also dined in the restaurant - superb! Breakfasts were great.
I had a lovely room and the hotel was great central location, close to the train station, village and lots of new forest trails. The owner was very helpful and there were nice additional touches to the room.
Lovely room in the heart of the New Forest just steps away from the Brockenhurst train station. I stayed here twice. Tracy, my host even gave me a deal on my second stay. I will absolutely stay again.
