Location is unbeatable, breakfast was plentiful and good for £10/each/day, not sure I would pay more than that. Breakfast is the same everyday. Hotel is quiet up on the third floor. There was a wedding party one night and didn’t hear a thing!
Family room is a bit tight but worked well.
This hotel is beside the River Tay, a minute from Perth Museum and Horsecross Concert Hall. Rooms are en suite and many have views of the river and the hotel's award-winning gardens.

The room was lovely and clean, as was the hotel on the whole, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and there were options for myself as a vegetarian, although it was essentially just cereal/granola and toast but I was content with that. The location was perfect for what I needed. Parking was available.
The Lovat Hotel is located in the ‘Fair City of Perth’ which is recognized as the Gateway to the Highlands with easy access to all the main routes to other cities such as Edinburgh, St Andrews,...

Location was good for our staff. Facility is old and rooms are very small.

Close proximity to train and bus stations, easy walking distance to the city centre. Lovely restaurant.
One of the most unique hotels in Perth, in a 15th-century watermill, where you can still watch the water trickling through the original water wheel from the garden, lobby area and Lounge Bar.

River walk was lovely, but local city centre was just like any other town with loads of charity shops, and not mu h else to look at.
Scone palace gardens were lovely, but could only go in the grounds due to having a dog, so wasn't allowed in the Palace

The multistorey car park at Kinnoull Street is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs.
The city itself is compact and pleasant enough. No hills in the city so easy to get about.
Plenty of cafes by the new museum.

Perth used to be the capital of Scotland and has obviously been a very wealthy city. I would have loved to have seen it then.
Unfortunately it is now much like many cities and very run down.
Most things in Scotland are beautiful and I was really looking forward to Perth but found that the surrounding areas were much better than the City centre. So sorry as I would have loved to have said it was great.
Glasgow and Edinburgh are obviously big vibrant cities and I expected Perth to just have a little of this.
First time in the area, despite being from Scotland, and had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable and had all of the basics that were required for a two night stay. It was also perfectly quiet at night which was nice for a good rest after exploring the local areas. There was also free WiFi which was pleasant, as the signal in the area (with it being a bit more remote) struggled to stay connected, but ultimately the hotel was a place to rest and sleep so this wasn't a deal breaker!
I can't imagine there being a hotel in Scotland with better value for money. Highlights for me were : Polite, friendly, and respectful staff; a large clean and quiet room in excellent decorative condition with a cracking view across the tay; lovely open fire crackling away in a comfortable lounge area; a breakfast to satisfy the best of appetites. And all presented in a lovely well-maintained building with plenty of hints of its history but much modernity too.
This first-time customer Will be back!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Sunbank House Metro Hotel in Perth, Scotland. We were welcomed warmly on our arrival and given details of our accommodation. The hotel is in a beautifully appointed building and our room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished, with an excellent view over Perth. The breakfast was made with very fresh ingredients which we appreciated, and enjoyed in a lovely light room with view over the front garden. Overall a refreshing and comfortable break. Thankyou.
Beautifully decorated old stone building with loads of charm and character. Newly renovated luxurious bathrooms in very generous rooms.
Gorgeous wood panelling and sumptuous leather chesterfields in bar area and super comfy chairs in dining room with its glorious views to the golf course.
Fabulous food served at dinner and breakfast with incredible service from the waiters. An all up amazing stay and wish we had longer. Would definitely book again if visiting near Perth in Scotland.
Bar far the best and also the cheapest B&B I stayed in over 5 days touring around Scotland.
Owner Jackie was very welcoming, the single room was clean and specious and had a large private bathroom (not ensuite) which was also clean with decent shower. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good indeed and overall I was extremely happy with my stay. Exceptional value considering what the room cost. Would definitely return when visiting Perth.
Breakfast was an enjoyable experience with a menu to suit every taste.
The historic building (1699) would appeal to anyone with a feeling for Scotland's history, but inside it has been tastefully modernised with due regard for comfort and safety. The hotel has an ethos of recycling and sustainability.
The city centre location is within walking distance of shops, the railway station and other attractions.
We use Sky Lodge as our de facto launch point for the rest of Scotland and the return home. Big rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast though continental is excellent in a clean and well laid out canteen. The site is interesting as it's a working airfield, and there are some excellent walks on your doorstep. There is a nice little cafe on the airfield that does a cooked breakfast if you want one. Super value.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for walking around. It's close to everything. I appreciate that it is a pet-friendly hotel and pretty quiet. Also, the darkening window shades were great. There was a breakfast offered, but I opted to go out so can't speak to its quality.
The hotel was amazing, excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were fresh and clean. Then there was breakfast! Best hotel breakfast we have had in a long time. Lots of choice and I've always liked self-service.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in the UK. The food and drinks are exceptionally good. The grounds and location are beautiful. I will definitely be staying again. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks.
Staff were great and friendly. Spacious lounges and plenty areas to sit and relax. Nice country feel hotel on outskirts of Perth.Food was bit of a mix lunch great however let down by breakfast.
Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Not just some of the staff, but everyone we met. From receptionist checking in, to every staff member we spoke to. All real assets to the hotel.
Sam is amazing and made awesome homemade bread and a lovely breakfast. She was a delight to be around. If I return to Perth, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. She made us feel so welcomed.
The breakfast was so good we had to stop by here again for another nights stay before ending our Scotland road trip! Lovely family running this guesthouse. Comfortable and clean rooms.
This hotel was out in the country and was very quiet. Off season meant there were few people and the weather was cool. Fun place to visit. Breakfast was the only problem.
Staff were attentive and friendly, breakfast superb, and the room spacious and well equipped. This was the best accommodation so far in our two weeks in Scotland.
