Santa Pola is a relatively small town with a bustling port/marina at the centre with eateries, shops and boat trips to Tabarca Island. You can walk to the north and south of the port along flat walkways where you will find quiet areas with nice beaches. You will find the major supermarkets plus a central bus station with links to Alicante, Elche and south to Torrevieja.

Santa Pola is a working town but still is a great place for a vacation there are 2 great beaches and loads of restaurants and cafes. great supermarkets and bakeries. You can do water sports in summer and there are great walks and cycling options.

All facilities were on the doorstep! Don’t forget to have a nice cold drink in one of the tiny bars that are down all the little side streets ! We have visted the town many times, we like it because it is a "working town" not full of tourists. There a plenty of excellent restaurants and shops and the beaches are very well maintained. Favourite restaurant was Cata Simo and we enjoyed many "meals of the day" there. It is easy to get around the town by walking. Do not miss the fruit and veg market on a Saturday, or the general goods market on a Monday morning.

We have visited Santa Pola often over the years but never overnight. We love the fact that it is a very Spanish town with plenty of Restaurants for every pocket. The beaches are fantastic and safe. Taxis are easily available and reasonably priced. Very flat walking all over town with a historic Fort in the square with Cafés all around the edges. The town also boasts a local indoor market with local fresh goods for sale. A truely lovely Spanish town.

The weather being very good, we mostly stayed on the terrace from where we had a delightful view. It is located in a very beautiful area, in Santa Pola Est. It is very close to the sea and it is a pleasure to walk on the seafront that goes all the way to the city of Santa Pola. Everything was clean, we had all the facilities. The view from the balcony is unbelievable - you get to see both the sunset and sunrise. The balcony itself is great with a table and comfortable chairs. The flat is spacious and well-equipped. The host turned out to be an extremely helpful and patient person. There is a lift, so no carrying heavy luggage up the stairs. The two bedrooms were also good. I liked that there was air conditioning to help cool the apartment and a washing machine for the clothes. There was even a clothes drying rack. We liked that they provided a chair for the beach. But best of all was there was a refrigerator and stove so we could prepare our own food.NicoleUnited States of America

And it was a great surprise to see that there was a kids dining high chair. It is located in the best area of the town and yet it is a quiet area, so great to have a break and relax. Self Check-in was easy and quick. Definitely a place that I would like to return to and stay longer.

Loved our brief glimpse of Santa Pola as we were heading to the airport nearby, the next morning!! Definitely will return for a longer stay!!

Santa Pola is lovely, and the apartment was in the centre for everything. We were able to park right outside the apartment and then walk everywhere. Away from the marina, the restaurants and bars excellent value for money and offer great service. We'll be back!

The location is good: the beach is right below your balcony, but you can walk everywhere in 10-15 minutes. Grocery, restaurants and cafes abundant in the neighbourhood. Santa Pola is a nice place to visit, with local life, not just tourists (at least in February).
