Amazing place to stay. Could not fault the place. Stunning views, great location. Private parking within the property. So peaceful and quiet. Comfy beds, tv with English channels, good shower. We had our own little balcony to sit and enjoy the stunning views towards the sea. Owners amazing and friendly - nothing too much trouble. Excellent Wi-Fi.

I recommend Mijas but with certain reservations.
I recommend Mijas but with certain reservations. I remember the town from 50 years ago so maybe I'm biased. It has managed to keep a certain amount of charm but in a way has grown too large for its own good. In my opinion there are too many souvenir shops and too many below standard restaurants/ bars. I had the feeling that I was a commodity - certainly not everywhere but enough too blunt the pleasure. The farmhouses that were onced dotted through the hills have been replaced by an urban sprawl & even the odd gated community. A pity - I leave with very mixed feelings

We decided to stay in the Calahonda area because it looked like a good central location to explore. We were pleased with our choice of location because it is central to visit other locations by car. There is an abundance of supermarkets; eateries and places of interest. We would definitely stay in Calahonda again.
We had a warm welcome despite arriving late, the accommodation was exactly as advertised. It was very clean and comfortable with a great shower. The pool area was relaxing, spacious and clean, the pool was a lovely temperature in the very hot weather. Nothing was too much trouble for the host Marina. She was on hand when needed but left us to relax alone. The location was great for the main road, Mijas Pueblo, Mijas Costa and local amenities but you could not hear the road. 20 minutes from airport.
The owner was so lovely, would do anything she could to help you if needed. The apartment was spotless and the position in Mijas Pueblo was perfect, a few minutes walk to the shop, bars and restaurants and the view from the balcony was just beautiful. Only thing you should be aware of though, is there is no oven in the apartment, just hobs and a microwave. This did not matter to us, as we had no intention of cooking, but it is a good thing to be aware of. Already booking to return next year!
Wow , fantastic stay at this beautiful villa. Due to unforseen circumstances we needed to change our dates, both the owner Filip and local host David were so understand and accomodating . The facilities we brilliant , the pool amazing, so near to all the bars and restuarants in Mijas Pueblo, so no need to hire a car unless you want to explore further a field . The comminication was excellent, we felt so safe and will definately be returning next year .
Excellent location, very close to downtown Mijas Pueblo with many restaurants, shops etc.
Great view of the coastal area from the balcony/terrace.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Well equipped kitchen (however, you need to provide basics such as oil, salt, sugar, etc. yourself).
The parking spaces in the garage are not very big, but as the garage wasn't full at any time (in August !), this was not a problem.
don't know how this place have such average score.
its excellent for the price , nice pool , clean , staff very nice and helpful , nice clean rooms.
Classic hotel .
very quiet area.
Really liked that on breakfast you don't need gloves , everything is on personal plates.
