Stayed for a weekend Fri-Sun and I think that was a long enough time to do everything we had planned. Went to Aifur Viking restaurant one evening which was incredible and would highly recommend! We also went to Restaurant C&C in the old town and the Swedish meatballs are perfection! The city is very walkable but we used the electric scooters a lot as they are everywhere and there are so many bike lanes. The prices of everything are quite high but I understand that the wages are also higher. Would also recommend Mammut bar for drinks, underground gothic bar in the old town with amazing atmosphere.

It is an elegant and beautiful city with many museums to see. Our favorites were the Abba, Viking, Vasa and Photography museums. We ate very well in every place we went and all had vegetarian options. parks, beautiful, waterfront and many people outside make this city amazing. The people are very nice and helpful.

Stockholm is a beautiful city.
Stockholm is a beautiful city. Staying just outside The Old Town was perfect - SoFo - is a lovely bohemian area with very few tourists. Walking is easy but also the public transport system (including ferries) is superb.
Just walking the streets of The Old Town is a delight, But also recommend some island hopping. Skansen, The Museum of Modern Art and Stampen jazz club were particular favourites.
And a lovely bistro hidden amongst the web of cobbled streets in the Old Town is Under Kastanjen.

Absolutely lovely and beautiful city!
Absolutely lovely and beautiful city! Stayed a bit further away from the centre, but getting around Stockholm is incredibly easy! You can use the SL app to buy tickets or just pay as you go (there are cards machine at the entry of all metro stations as well as the trams and buses). The city centre is gorgeous, however it can be a bit crowded since there are my avenues and shops around. Eating wise, please try all the kardemommeboller you possibly can because they are delicious (my recommendations are Stora Bageriet and Lillebrors). Don't hesitate to take a boat tour to see the city from the water, you won't regret it! 🤎 Great city for shopping but also with beautiful nature areas such as parks, gardens and the archipelago!

Beautiful city but don't underestimate its size or how far it is to walk between places of interest. We discovered their superb transport system and used that after our first day walking everywhere to get to places we had booked.
In three and a half days we visited: Vasa Museum (amazing), Abba (don't be embarrassed to sing - we weren't), Avicii experience (more singing), Sprit museum (Swedish tasting tray was definitely something we wont forget!) Ice Bar, Gamla Stan and the Under the Bridges boat tour. There was so much more we could have seen including visiting the Royal Palace and Skansen (next time perhaps). People are friendly and helpful but don't take too much cash (like we did) as most places in Stockholm were cashless and only accepted card payments.
Food was an issue, we should have researched more as reasonably priced eateries that were open in April were hard to find.
The Frantz Hotel was recommended by a friend living in Stockholm, although had never stayed. It was perfect, in fact, she joined us for dinner in the restaurant downstairs on our last night and was blown away. No doubt she will mention it to other visitors. The bed/pillows were exceptional, sooooo comfortable, the room was small but perfect in every other way and the buffet breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. Nice cosy bar too. Couldn't fault it. A wonderful week.
All well, good breakfast buffet. For everyone not entirely familiar with the Stockholm area: the property is located in Nacka, which is only about 10-15 minutes by car from central stockholm. Currently, there is building work around this area, so best check how to get on to the main road(s) leading up to the (visibly fairly prominent) multi-storied building. Parking is in front of the building and the hotel are very accomodating to help out.
Loved the location on an island in the center of Stockholm a short ferry ride from the Vassa Museum. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens with apple pear and cherry trees and families of wandering geese. Deck chairs in the garden to enjoy the pastoral setting. we were travelling with a small baby and staff could not have been more supportive. Great outdoor dining area ( weather permitting) and one of the best breakfasts ever.
I’m from Stockholm and grow up in this area. This hotel has by far one of the best location in the city centre. You have shops, coffee places, take outs, Resto, etc! all just a stone cast away. I love the location. You can use the sauna when you want , just remember that it takes ca 10 minutes for it to warm up, and to book your time slot. The showers are great. The beds are great. It’s quite. Staff are very friendly.
Perfectly situated in Old Town. A block from the Royal Palace. Walking distance to shopping, museums, and the Ice Bar. Lots of old building full of little shops and great restaurants.
The room is large. The bathroom is clean and efficient. We had a sea-view room, which was really nice. The room is elegantly appointed with high ceilings and velvet draps.
Possibly the best breakfast I have had a hotel.
Attached to a "deli" which was really more like a huge upscale market. Breakfast served a buffet from this market so the food was fantastic - some of the best pastries I've ever had at a hotel breakfast. Rooms had a really cool typically sleek Scandinavian design without being too basic or "Ikea"ish. The deli's work/meeting space was the hotel's lobby so there was a cute tech/creative vibe.
I stayed at Sky Aparthotel for 3 weeks in October 2022. My studio was spacious and bright with large windows. The bed was comfortable and I felt at home right away. I would highly recommend this aparthotel for short and medium length stays. The location of the hotel is close to the city center and there is a large supermarket 5 min. away. Will definitely stay again there if I visit Stockholm.
Price/quality is a great deal. The rooms are comfrotable, clean and have a nice space. The personnel is very responsive. About location: Stockholm is a big city. Location of the hotel is not the best, but it still has a good connection (i) a bus in front of the hotel which takes you Hotorberg (very nice part of the city to visit), and (ii) train/metro is 10 min walk (up in a small hill).
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Stockholm's historical city centre on the other side of the water. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and seating area, and the staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Also, the Södermalm island offers a 'real' (less touristy) city vibe, with great (vintage) shops and restaurants.
With a view of Gamla Stan, this hotel was an excellent choice. It was close to all major attractions and provided an excellent night's sleep. The best part, however, was the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Stockholm.
Great hotel, lovely decor and situated in a very central location - perfect for exploring Stockholm. The hotel staff were also very friendly, particularly Miguel on reception who was amazing at recommending the best restaurants and making reservations for us!
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had - fantastic range of selection and exactly why Swedish hotel breakfast is (in my opinion) best in the world :) Also very impressed by the self check-in and check-out process which was amazingly easy.
EVERYTHING! Beautiful, unique hotel right in Gamla Stan. The staff were beyond helpful and sweet. The cherry on top was the sauna and the tasty breakfast spread. I will stay here every time I visit Stockholm.
