Wonderfully relaxing and welcoming hotel. Quiet location but just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Some good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and helped us feel comfortable with our basic French. Most staff speak good English - but some use of French is going to go a long way. Breakfasts are excellent, for an extra charge. Parking was available on the street in front of the hotel. We warmly recommend the Villa du Moulleau!

Arcachon is a French resort on the Atlantic coast, about 55 km from the city of Bordeaux. Known for its oyster farms, Dune of Pyla, the long sandy beaches and the Victorian houses, this seaside city is a perfect holiday destination.
Set among the ocean and a pine forest, the breathtaking Great Dune of Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe. Reaching a height of about 107 metres and a length of 3 km, this natural miracle is a massive hill ideal for paragliding.
Popular for its oyster production, Arcachon was home to one of the first farms opened in 1849. Today about 60% of the oysters in France come from this region. Visit a waterside restaurant and savour delicious oyster dishes accompanied by a glass of fine French wine.
The Landes forest is the biggest maritime pine forest in Europe, filled with a wonderful natural park with cycle paths. Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, apartment or holiday home in the area of Arcachon.

Arcachon is a rather unique bay, very worth visiting.
Arcachon is a rather unique bay, very worth visiting. It has great nature and wildlife (birds), in addition to interesting early 20th century architecture. The area is quaint and good humored with lots of families staying and visiting the area. Access can be congested during rush hour and on top vacation days! The food is outstanding, both in restaurants (we recommend Le Saint Ferdinand! Great seafood!) and at local food stores and bakeries!
Climbing the Dune du Pilat is a must with phenomenal 360 degr. views!
The boardwalk in Arcachon proper along the bay is gorgeous!

Attractive location and a good place to stay.
Attractive location and a good place to stay. We wanted to visit Bordeaux but didn’t want to stay in the city. Arcachon has a good regular service by train into the city and this suited us well.
You need to know that boat trips around the bay have to be booked in advance and will cancel your booking if there are too few passengers. We didn’t manage to get a successful booking.
Arcachon is a seafood paradise for those wanting oysters, crustaceans and fish. It’s also more expensive, we assumed because it’s a tourist haven.

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had booked dinner in a nearby hotel for a dinner and the staff organised a taxi for us to travel there. Otherwise, everything you needed is in a pleasant walking distance. I can't wait to return to Arachon

Arcachon is a clean and welcoming place with plenty to do and lots of lovely places to eat. There are many options for boat trips in the Bassin d’ Arcachon, which are well worth doing. There is an excellent, cheap bus service to access places further than walking distance and the station has regular trains.
First time in our tour round France that we have been offered a bacon and egg option with breakfast - it was excellent and made my husband’s day!
A mistake by Booking.com meant that we were allocated the wrong room without a balcony. The owner was very helpful and sorted out the problem for us on arrival. The room she gave us was lovely, very stylish and spacious with a good bathroom as well as a balcony.
The position of the hotel was good, near the beach and a short level walk to the restaurants in the town centre. Thoroughly recommended.
Fantastic hotel, well located slightly outside the city centre but close to local restaurants, café and bars. Location is nice as you have beaches and city centre within a short walking distance. You have a bike rental close if you would like but not necessary as everything is close to the hotel. Rooms was spacious, clean with a large balcony and view of the village or the beaches. Staff is very supporting and helpful and cleaning was very good. Parking availibilty is appreciated.
Wonderful place to stay in Arcachon, near to the beach in the quiet street. Lovely and very comfortable apartment, very clean and decorated with taste. Wonderful, very friendly and helpful owners who gave us a lot of very useful advice; where to eat, what to visit etc. Delicious, fresh homemade breakfast. Everything was just perfect. We would be happy to visit Villa Les Ombrees again!
The location in the city center; close to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. It also offered us a private and secure parking place. The kitchen was modern and well equipped with plenty of space to relax after a long day sightseeing. Carole was an amazing hostess; warm, accommodating and extremely nice!
the best location- very spacious and comfortable apartment, very bright, many bathrooms, comfortable sitting couches to accommodate more than 4 people, well lit, well equipped kitchen , enough table ware for more than 4 people- and free secure parking- very quiet neighbourhood.
What a lovely facility. Our suite was an apartment with nice furnishings, a fabulous balcony and only one building off from the beach. It was completely walkable to the beach, the beautiful architecture of Arcachon, shops, etc. I would love to return!
Located very central in Arcachon, close to the beach, restaurants, etc. Spacious one-bedroom apartment with a large unfoldable sofa bed for a third person, and with flat TVs in both rooms. Kitchenette, relatively well equipped, quiet place in the night.
The lovely lady who checked us in was so so nice.
Easy simple place for a night in arcachon. At this time of year street parking free and just across the street. Comfy bed, good bathroom, great shower. Coffee pods in room with Nespresso machine.
The unique and colourful decor and artefacts, local to beach, shops and restuarants.
Room was their small one but stunning and designed well to feel spacious enough for 2 nights stay.
Breakfast on the balcony was a special treat.
The apartment is a great place to stay in Arcachon. Perfect location, in the center of the center. The host is very friendly and supportive. Very easy to get the access….Everything perfect. We enjoyed the stay very much!
Great apartment with lots of space, everything we needed, a friendly greeting, even bonus toys for the kids. Even a room for bikes on ground floor. Very, very close to center square with delicious restaurants.
The staff are amazing and so welcoming. The hotel itself is really well presented, clean and comfortable. A ten minute walk in to town along the beach front. Car parking over the road. Lovely breakfast.
The size of the room it s perfect, big, spacious, and you have all you need in there. We hace breakfast in the room so I don’t know much about the hotel breakfast.
Right on the beach, lovely hotel and just a short walk from the bars and restaurants. The staff were lovely especially the evening reception gentleman.
