Overpriced city, it was not much to do there, overcrowed during long weekend. There is a decent USS museum - make sure to have about 5 hours to cover most of it. Most restaurants even those which are named as Fish restaurants might have no fish entrees. Prices for seafood are about $30-40 per enteree.

It cost me $175 to valet park next to the hotel.
It cost me $175 to valet park next to the hotel. I was told that if I parked it myself it would be $18 but it would be subject to double charges and cost more. We walked everywhere and never saw our car until we checked out.
Charleston is an old city and there are many uneven sidewalks.
The historic area streets could use some cleaning and maybe flowers and shade trees. Very unattractive.
walking tours, fort sumpter were great. Loved the city market.
May restaurants overpriced and just so so. One gem was the BBQ place near the city market.
If I were to return I’d stay in a more modern hotel in the historic district.
The breakfast was wonderful as we had it both mornings of our stay out in the patio, which was very nice!
The staff was very attentive, and breakfast took no time at all to be served.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
I’m sorry we only had three days and two nights stay in Charleston but will be Back soon and plan to stay at your inn again and look to more of the historic downtown Charleston.
Thanks again Mark and Maureen from Cape Cod
The view is amazing and totally makes the stay worth it (I paid a couple dollars extra for a city view). It's also in a great location - it's not downtown which makes parking/driving easier and cheaper but it's only about 5 minutes from downtown Charleston and the Avondale neighborhood in West Ashley. The road to the hotel connects to the road to Folly Beach too if you're coming for the beach.
- the location, very accesible to anything I would say
- the fact that they had a free shuttle every hour to take you to the historic downtown and the last one to
come back to the hotel is at 10:45 which is not bad at all honestly
- every day housekeeping
- the view is so nice for the sunrise too
- the Dove bathroom amenities, good quality, I appreciated it
The location was perfect for shopping, a variety of restaurants, and places of interest. It was only 10 minutes to Charleston's historic district.
The hotel was very clean and the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping were friendly, professional and helpful.
Breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular, would've been nice to have some bacon, instead of sausage every day and some cheese for the eggs. Good coffee, though.
Location was good, lots of surrounding hotels and restaurants and only a short drive to downtown.
The hotel was beautiful, it felt new, clean. Nice people working at the front desk during both check-in and check-out. Really cool artwork in the common space. Good breakfast. Great location for an easy drive to both downtown Charleston and the beach at IOP.
- The location is great. 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston, 10 minutes to Patriots Point for Ft. Sumter Ferry
- Lots of great food in the area
- only reasonably priced hotel in the area!
- plenty of parking
The room was nice and clean. Much better than some more expensive hotels where I've stayed in Charleston. Staff was super. Everyone was extremely nice. I liked having the valet service for my car also.
We were impressed, hotel is super clean and personal is so friendly, very convenient location in downtown of Charleston but it was quiet, breakfast was also very good!
Highly recommend that hotel!
We really like this Hotel I never stay in the Hotel with walk in closet also the bathroom its big the bed so comfortable. Its little far from Downtown but the money you save its all worth it.
fairly price rate (less expensive) Vs. other hotels downtown.
it was clean in the room
comparing to a similar price in Switzerland, the service and quality is way below!!
not bad from visiting downtown charleston. there were plenty of restaurants and shopping near the hotel. the staff was friendly and the breakfast was ok.
