I loved the size of the room and the complimentary robes & slippers. The view was also amazing - we were in a sea front privileged room. The location of the hotel was great. Plenty round about. The breakfast was also really great, we were pleasantly surprised.

The town is not what it once was, but as someone born and bred in Ayr I have nothing to dislike about it. Loads of good places to stay and to eat for all tastes and expenses. Very easy to navigate around the town by car, lots of buses at regular intervals. 3 great golf courses if that's your thing, loads of nice walks along the river, beach and if you find it Craigie Park (great for picnics).

Although there is a selection of the bars, restaurants and shops, the town centre is sadly lacking. Many, many empty shops. Full of charity shops, nail bars and vape shops. Ayr used to be one of my favourite places. Sadly, unfortunately those days are long gone.

Not an awful lot to do especially for young people but Culzean Castle and Dumfries House worth a visit. We also enjoyed the Burns museum. Glasgow easy drive away. Ayr and other beaches would be great in warmer months . Best dinner was at Kirkton Inn, Dalrymple and best lunch at The Coo Shed

Ayr itself was a disappointment knowing how it was a number of years ago and how I is today, beggars dirty Main Street so many shops vacant and in disrepair
Outside the town is still as I remember clean and beautiful. You can’t beat the Ayrshire countryside.
The hotel and room were both very clean. I stayed in a courtyard room, which had secure entry. The room was a great size, with an electric heater I could switch off and on, and the window opened slightly too.
The hotel is lovely, the building itself is gorgeous and the grounds are well maintained. Great buffet breakfast too! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Nice bar. Great location to Ayr town centre, plus lots of parking.
I’ve stayed in countless 5 star & boutique hotels, but they could all learn the meaning of ‘immaculate rooms’ & ‘great service’ from the Retreat at The Knowe Auchincruive Estate! Perfect venue & location for walks in the country or along the coast - my stay wasn’t long enough! Annie the host, was absolutely lovely & highly knowledgeable about the Ayrshire area! She couldn’t do enough, and the breakfast was fab! I will definitely return!
We had a great stay at the Horizon Hotel. we were in a loft room which was fine we just got a wee bit lost trying to locate our room after a few refreshments lol. staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good too. would definitely recommend and we would return. the outlook is stunning too, right on the beach and we had a lovely sea view.
the outdoor seating bit was fab too and we were very lucky with the weather.
Great location, very clean and comfortable accommodation with all the equipment you would need for a great stay. Very quiet with a lovely view over the river. 5 to 10 minute walk from the town centre. Was visiting relatives from Ayr as I come from there so didn't have time to visit the beach this trip, have been many times before though. Will stay a bit longer next time.
Savoy Park Hotel is so beautiful, including the gardens. Proximity to the town centre. Excellent and charming customer service from reception, housekeeping, waiters and waitresses. Food delicious. Lovely choice of menu. Comfortable bar area with Bill the bear. Lovely bedrooms. We have also stayed before. We will book again. 🥰
I’ve mostly ever stayed in hotels in cities, and almost never in small towns, so was pleasantly surprised by Fairfield. A much larger room for a fraction of the the price compared to city hotels. The room was spotless, very comfortable and fairly spacious for under £100. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it.
This is a 3 star hotel in the centre of Ayr with 4+star staff. Being disabled and elderly, the receptionist was happy to change my booking to a wet room as the hotel only have showers over the bath. At breakfast, again the staff were very obliging and offered to give us table service which we gladly accepted.
full kitchen was perfect.bed very comfortable. great start to day take short walk to coast and town center. hope to comeback again. have already recommend to friends and family. we have family in Scotland and recommended any over flow if visitors check out this house
Staff and also local customers were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. So much so that we have decided to visit again. Beer from own Ayr Brewery next door was very tasty. Room had lots of extras despite budget price. Hotel was quirky but comfortable.
Stunning apartment with excellent location in town centre and parking available. Spotlessly clean and Neil has thought of everything guests could need when furnishing his flat. We were all very comfy and cosy and just loved every minute of our stay.
very relaxing atmosphere gardens are beautiful food was exceptional staff were very attentive general manager was fantastic and our sever Michelle went above and beyond service was excellent would definitely recommend staying at this hotel
Yes the owner had double booked it. I paid 250.00 to get it. I need you to refund the money. I was stranded in Ayr and spent all day trying to get accommodation due to busy hotels (the horse racing was on. I need compensated for this
Very nice hotel. Staff are always pleasant. Short walk to both seafront and centre of ayr. I would highly recommend the Kylestrome to anyone looking for accommodation in ayr.
