The room was very large and relatively quiet. Great view into the park. The bathroom was HUGE and the rain shower had amazing pressure. The hotel bar made great drinks!

Great location. With free parking it was ideal for a short bus ride into Tunbridge Wells. Our room was very nice and well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with the best scrambled eggs i have tasted in a long while.

Tonbridge has been a market town since the Middle Ages with its own Castle by the River Medway. All services in the High Street. Lots of parking, free after 6pm. Ightham Mote, Knowle house, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle, & Rudyard Kipling's Bateman's were all delightful National Trust properties nearby. We had a super meal at Havet, a Turkish Restaurant which provided me, unasked, with a doggy bag when I could only manage half my meal.

Excellent little place.
Excellent little place. Very busy during the day but not overly busy. There was plenty of places to eat and shops plus you never had to wait long for a bus as long as you knew where you wanted to go. The only negative was the taxis at the train station the drivers were most unpleasant but there is another taxi service there and the drivers were brilliant took you to your door and made sure you got in ok although sometimes you had to wait a bit id rather wait and use a good service like that.

I’m an ardent lover of Medieval history and architecture so I felt very fortunate to stay in this hotel and learn a bit about the history with regard to the other historical castle, church and other buildings. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and the people are very friendly and welcoming too. I’d love to come back and stay in the same hotel again.

As a former resident I am probably biased, but Tonbridge and the nearby area has plenty to see and do. The town has excellent rail links to London and by train or bus to the surrounding area. It is a good base for a stay with no car.

I lived in Tonbridge for 25 years so I am familiar with the town and somewhat biased! My trip was a long weekend to catch up with friends I have been unable to see for two years.
The High Street has many pubs, restaurants and other places to eat. The castle ruin is an historic 11th century site beside the river. Tonbridge benefits from a huge green space (Tonbridge Sports ground) ideal for walks by the river and further.
Out of town are more historic buildings and sattely homes than one can expect. The town's railway station is in the centre of town so it's easily accessible without a car.

tonbridge is a small town few decent shops and bars tonbridge wells it more busier only 4 miles away its definetly worth visiting the only problem is traffic never seen so much traffic and had to use arriva buses they must be the worst bus company ive used in 20 yerrs
The location is excellent, right on the high street in Tonbridge. The hotel itself is very quaint - the dining room and reception are are charming and have a lovely olde England aesthetic. The room was comfortable and offered plenty of room, along with a nice sized bathroom. The shower was hot and powerful and the in-room refreshments were well provisioned. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and reasonably priced. It was also helpful to have on-site parking included in the price of the room.
The location of the property is ideal for walking into Tonbridge town, the train station and buses. The property is not located in the heritage area, which the photos lead you to believe, but a short stroll up from the train station. The apartment is spacious and comfortable
We liked the location of the hotel and staff were friendly. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment. We had our allocated room changed as it was a bit cramped. We liked the room despite facing the road as it was light and roomy.
It is what it says on the tin. The hotel is old, tired, dark, and in need of refurb, but it was clean and it was what we were expecting for the star-level. If you're not expecting anything fancy it is absolutely fine.
The location is perfect for Tonbridge School and it is the only hotel in walking distance. The staff were very helpful and went to great pains to try to find my necklace when I lost it in my room.
It's a brand new apartment..even tags were left on furnishings..light bulb missing
Two blocks to reach the bus stop
15.00 taxi ride from TUnbridge..taxi do not accept cards. Cash
Excellent location in the centre of Tonbridge; good breakfast; a rather old-fashioned building with lots of character, which inevitably has disadvantages as well; free parking
