I will start by saying that I was only there to carry out legal paperwork for my apartment sale so couldn't make full use of the facilities. Breakfast was a wide selection of hot and cold food - well presented and very good quality. The coffee machine was good and the dining room was spacious and spotless. My room was on the second floor and had a marvelous sea view from the mountains outside Benidorm to the beach directly outside. I really liked the heated bathroom floor and the fridge with complimentary water and chocolate was a bonus.

I had an apartment a few miles out of Villajoiosa for 20 years and was there to complete the sale. I love the town, the beach and the surrounding countryside. It is a busy, working town with a fishing fleet, yacht marina and several industrial areas. Fun fact - some of the ships for the Spanish Armada that was sent to try and invade England were built at Villajoiosa's many shipbuilding yards. Also, It has three chocolate factories! I would advise against the factory tours though because of Health & Safety restrictions they are not so exciting. The chocolate is wonderful though and there is a Valor chocolate cafe in the town centre and a Marcos Tondas outlet shop in the industrial area just out of the centre. La Vila Joyosa, as the many Valenciano speakers call it, is a popular tourist spot, especially when Madrid takes August off! Out of season it is quiet and peaceful but not deserted like some resorts as the local population take their evening stroll along the promenade. Some restaurants close but many are open all year. There are significant ex-pat communities of British, French, Dutch and Norwegian and smaller numbers of German, Swiss and other nationalities so there is a cosmopolitan vibe. Beside the hotels in town there are several camping and caravan sites a short distance along the coast (an easy walk to town). I highly recommend this charming town for a peaceful and varied holiday. It Is not a town of disco bars and vibrant nightlife but if you want that Benidorm is a short drive or trainride away, as are the themeparks and waterpark.

Villajoyosa is a great place to stay.
Villajoyosa is a great place to stay. Much quieter than eg Benidorm and close to Alicante Airport. The local beach is nice and welcoming and walking alongside it is joyful. However the town itself doesn't offer much to do. I must emphasise the location of Villajoyosa is perfect as it's sandwiched between Alicante and Benidorm, which you can reach in 30 minutes by car. There are many great places to visit in the region such as Bocairent town, Algar springs, Old Town in Altea, and for those who like hiking Puig Campana mountain.

The correspondence with Marina was excellent, she replied to my questions very quickly and was very reassuring, sending some excellent pictures of the garage etc
I felt I could contact here anytime.
Difficult to describe how wonderful this place is, we arrived late at night with a baby and the hosts were extremely facilitating and remotely opened our room when we got in.
Property was immaculately clean, with additional cleaning products (dishwasher tablets etc) provided. The views are even nicer than what is shown in the pictures looking straight out onto the blissful Mediterranean. Absolutely no flaws whatsoever, if you need to book somewhere close by to the sea then this is the peak in Villajoyosa.
We liked everything in the apartment - we loved the modern look of it, good quality appliances, well equipped kitchen, strong wifi, clean and tidy, spacious balcony with an amazing sea view.
The staff were all very pleasant. Our 4 year old got a little toiletry bag. They gave me some washing liquid for the washing machine.
The apartments are in a quieter area/not many tourists around which we liked. The grocery shop is just around 7min walk, the stone beach 5min and sandy beach 20min walk away.
The apartment at Gavina azul is in the best position in villajoyosa. Plenty of restaurants and bars a short stroll away, 5 minutes walk to the port where there are several really good restaurants. The apartment itself is spacious and clean with a huge wraparound balcony with the most beautiful view of the beach and sea (incredible sunrise views) the beds were very comfortable. The contact we had with Jaume and Josep was clear and helpful. We would definitely stay here again
The closeness to the beach was brilliant and it was very well kitted out. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was wonderful after swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The apartments were also very quite as the owners are selective when taking booking l think. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, answering questions even before we arrived on our holiday.
Location is great - 200m from the beach but on a major road however the double glazed windows stop 90% of the traffic noise. Room air con was excellent and highly appreciated, bed very comfy and shower very good. The roof top solarium was excellent including the jacuzzi pool. We parked for free in the main market car park in town which was about a 5 minute walk to the hotel.
The apartment is clean and spacious with everything you need to enjoy a lovely family holiday. It is situated 5 minutes walk from Villajoyosa's big beautiful beach and also 5 minutes walk in the other direction to the tram stop from where you can explore the rest of Costa Blanca.
The hosts were friendly, kind and helpful and English speaking too!
We loved our stay in the Sailor House. The facilities were excellent, the place was lovely and clean and the beds were super comfy! The hosts were friendly and even turned up within 10 mins when we locked ourselves out of the apartment! The location excellent. I definitely will see if the Sailor House is available on my next trip to Villajoyosa.
Location couldn’t be better, right next to the beach with great sea views and immediately next to a long run of restaurants. Apartment is clean and comfortable with a nice little balcony. Wifi was good, AV good too. Staff extremely helpful on arrival, providing lots of useful information. The town of Villajoyosa is a lovely place to stay.
I liked the location of Galliplaya Apartments as it was on the beachfront, the apartment i had viewed the beach from both balconies (both photos are of this)
Adrianna who met me and handed me the keys was really helpful and friendly and kept in contact through wat apps
Staying in a fisherman's casa was a great experience. Unit had everything needed to self cater. The view to the sea was a plus. Landlady providesd good information for walks. Easy to use the tram system to visit other seaside towns along the Costa Blanca.
Everything about this hotel was fabulous- roof top pool and views are stunning and just a short walk to the beach- literally minutes.
From the beach/ bar strip by the beach back to the hotel- there are travellators as up hill which were excellent.
Villajoyosa is a very nice little friendly location
Long beach, long promenade, nice restaurants, shops, supermarkets
and very good cafeterias for chocolate lovers
We will definitely go back because everything was nice
I absolutely loved this place! Comfy, clean, modern, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is just perfect. From the fifth floor the view of Villajoyosa is amazing!! I definitely enjoyed my stay.
The flat was in a superb position in Villajoyosa for the tram, shops, restaurants and beach. The balcony was great as there was plenty of room to move around. Would love to stay there again
