Breakfast was good.
We were picked up at the airport in a comfortable shuttle - That´s a great point.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

This is a stupid question, I stayed at the airport, not in Horley town and I only stayed there because I had an early flight. I was not there as a tourist and I doubt anyone would be, as it is an airport town!

This was just a short 24hr transit of international flights, but the hotel location at the airport terminal and access to the train station (to London and elsewhere) could not have been more convenient
Booked this hotel as had an early flight from the North Terminal the next morning. Easy to get to and got the train to Gatwick from London Victoria. Variety of restaurants to eat from but ordered soup of the day via room service. Excellent food and speedy service. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean! Check in was fast and there was express checkout so just had to drop the room keys. Overall enjoyable stay, would recommend if you would like a good sleep before your flight without the stress of having to rush to the airport.
I loved the Corner House Hotel! I arrived at Gatwick at 1 am and called for the hotel shuttle and he was there within 5 minutes. My room was just fine and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I only slept there for 5 hours but it was just what I needed. In the morning, I had a full English breakfast in the dining room and it was great. Everyone at the Corner House Hotel was super-friendly and really made me feel at home after my very long day of travel. Thank you to all of you!
I chose this hotel since I landed in Gatwick around 01:30 and planned to leave the area in the morning after, so a hotel in the airport was the most reasonable solution. For some reason I didn't expect a half-capsule hotel - it's not the capsules that remind you a sarcophagus, but it's the type of room that you should move slowly otherwise you bump into something. The room was clean, I liked the purple light and all in all it answered my need and was a good solution.
I regularly stay at this hotel, when I travel via Gatwick, or even the other London airports, as it has good rail links to London and beyond. The staff are always very helpful and I don't think I have ever had a problem. The hotel is handy for the centre of Horley, which has several nice pubs and restaurants as well as all the usual retail outlets. The train station is a short walk from the hotel and Gatwick Airport can be reached either by train or bus.
This is the perfect hotel to stop close ti Gatwick, 10 min walk from Horley train station will actually save you on taxi rides and the use of the shuttle service in and out of the airport in the way to go. Great breakfast choices and the snacks for a late arrival and nothing else to worry about. the room was small but with all I needed and way better than sleeping at the airport departures lounge.
Great location with a 10min walk from the terminal at Gatwick South.
The hotel had a lovely and inviting atmosphere, especially the lounge, bar and restaurant area.
Rooms were extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a very comfortable bed.
Staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with any questions or enquiries.
Would definitely recommend.
No hotel can beat the location of this one in Gatwick airport, directly at the departures area.
for planes ehnthusiastics (like my son) this is heaven... you can watch the planes take off and land all day and night from a big window in the room - but note that some rooms don't have a window at all.
Guests get a small discount on restaurants in the terminal
Incredibly convenient for Gatwick airport/Crawley/Horley. Literally a 5 minute drive from the south terminal to the farmhouse. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Very simple check in and out process. Has a rural feel to it despite being so close to everything. Would definitely book again if the need arises.
The hotel is convenient for Gatwick airport (is is possible to walk if you know about the Sussex Border Path which will get you between the Gatwick Travelodge and the North Terminal). The Black Horse Pub is nearby which does above average pub meals. The ensuite was large albeit with a too-small shower module.
It was a perfect place to stay before a flight from Gatwick at a very good price. Everything I required was available for one night. It was a quiet location and I was surprised that we didn't hear any planes. It was also very easy to get to from Horley railway station and the journey to the airport was short.
Location excellent as Horley is far enough away from Gatwick airport to be quiet, but short drive away by hotel shuttle. Good choices at their restaurant but we went for short walk to stretch legs and ate at Farmhouse pub, lovely meal, historic building.
Cozy, comfy, contemporary interior. Hot shower, comfy bed, mini fridge, large screen tv with Netflix and bottled water and cookies. Walkable distance to Gatwick. Lovely Horley downtown. Easy accessibility to trains.
The hotel manager was very friendly and helfpul, our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included and the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to Horley train station, near Gatwick airport.
Lovely hotel with an excellent location to the North Terminal Gatwick Airport. Staff very friendly. Our room was lovely and very well presented and clean. Would highly recommend and definitely stay here again
This is a very nice hotel that is very convenient if you're flying in and out of Gatwick Airport. The room itself was large, very comfortable with a fridge, large TV and excellent bathroom facilities.
Location near Gatwick, in a quiet area and availability of shuttle. Room are large and spacious enough space to repack the luggages since we on our way to the airport.
Breakfast was awesome, and the location was perfect from Gatwick airport. Taking the shuttle bus worked out, and teh staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly
