The property was clean and beautiful. Bar, breakfast area, waiting area with piano and sofas, relaxing outside patio. Steps away from main square but on a quiet street so you don’t get all the noise. Reception greeted us nicely and allowed us to store our things until check in. Loved this place. Would stay here again.

Bruges was quite busy (very touristy) and this wasn't even the peak of the holiday season. It's an attractive city and therefore, understandably popular, but I found Ghent surprisingly more friendly.
Bruges needs to get its act together and emulate Ghent's excellent Visitor Guide books (printed in the main European languages).

Bruges is a gorgeous place.
Bruges is a gorgeous place. The architecture and buildings are beautiful. There is lots to do, from museums to canal boat tours, horse and carriage rides, guided walking tours and lots of good shops. A good variety of restaurants and bars, we found the food very good and people very friendly. Our journey from the UK via Euro tunnel was so easy, and finding Bruges by car was super easy.
Will definitely be back.

If you're from Europe you're probably used to picturesque old towns, but Bruges will charm you even so. It really feels like it's frozen in time (apart of course from all the touristy shops and the crowds). It's best to visit off-season, but ideally with decent weather.
The museum pass is definitely worth it, as without visiting the museums there's not much to do if you stay more than a day.
The restaurants are very expensive, and depending on if you like Belgian food might not be worth it. What is worth it though are the beers, which you definitely should take a moment to try in one of the several local pubs with cozy atmosphere.

One of my favorite and most romantic cities in Europe.
One of my favorite and most romantic cities in Europe. I love it, this was not my first time and I hope I will be back soon. This small town has lots of great places to eat, Michelin star restaurants, shopping . Town filled with history. Very easy to get around, walkable , don’t need a car. Just lovely, a picturesque view around every corner.
Very warm welcome, excellent B&B, short 5 minute walking distance from both parking garage (with electric car charger, which is always a challenge in Belgium!) and city centre. Best breakfast ever and great stories on some of the vintage finds om display. Room with luxere, big bath was very clean, coffee machine in the room, mini fridge with cold drinks in the hall. Can’t think of anything that would have improved the stay. They even have a happy little dog that greets you every morning as you come down 😊
The location is wonderful. The location puts you right in the heart of the city. It is one of the most photographed hotels because it is right on the canal and next to the hotel which is in one of the scenes from the movie "In Bruges". Many, if not most, of the rooms overlook the canal. The breakfast has a good selection of cereals, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage and more. The is place to store your luggage, a hotel bar and a wonderful seating area just for guest that overlook the canal.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, spotless and in a fantastic location. Our host Veronique was charming and so helpful and knowledgeable about the best places to visit including local restaurants. The breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice and fresh orange juice brought to our table. We found the hotel online by chance but it is certainly a hidden gem and we will recommend to anyone visiting Bruges. Veronique made our stay one we will never forget.
Excellent location. A couple minutes walk from center of town. Friendly staff that is locally owned and operated by an lovely couple. Great breakfast. Stairs are challenging with luggage, but the majority of hotels in Belgium are like that. Driving into the center of town is challenging, but doable with a GPS. Parking is a 5 minute walk away along the canal in a parking garage. This place is hard to beat given its location and nice accommodations.
Great location within walking distance to the city centre. The staff very very helpful and recommended some important sights. We had a complimentary water bottle in the room. Good attention to detail in the room and hotel. The rain shower was wonderful, being energy efficient at the same time. Bed was comfy and the AC worked just fine. The location is next to one of the best public parking garages we have ever been too. A pleasurable experience.
Having stayed at several hotels in Bruges the Casselburgh is by far the best, its location is ideal near to shops the main square and restaurants. The building is magnificent, the old part retaining historic architecture .The rooms in the old part are spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of fare catering for all.
This hotel is right on the canal, and literally apart of “one of the most picturesque views in Belgium” (as per our tour guide). Our room looked like it had been recently updated apart from the bathroom. It was clean and the best part was that it looked right onto the canal! The staff here are very friendly and professional.
The hotel is lovely, cozy and comfortable. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of everything in the Bruges city center. The hotel staff was friendly and extremely helpful, including assisting with phone communications, and making early morning taxi reservations! Breakfast was excellent.
One of the most beautiful spots in Bruges. A unique boutique hotel situated on a gorgeous canal with beautiful rooms and interior spaces. Above all, the hotel is run by Sophie who is by far the best person we met in this charming city. An amazing and generous host that will make your stay memorable.
We rented the loft and it was very spacious, nicely decorated and fully equipped. The location was perfect, walking distance from the train or a short cab ride and very short walk into the heart of town. Bruges is our favorite spot in Belgium a must visit for everyone!
Stunning building right in the center of Bruges. Staff were excellent, absolutely loved the exterior and interior of this hotel. Excellent modern bathroom.
A welcome drink in the bar was a lovely touch and the breakfast was outstanding.
When i arrived i wanted to rate 5 stars to the hotel. The réceptionist that welcomed us was very professional and gental even she let us check in at 10 Am. for a 1 star hotel the room is verry organized and looks like new
10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, cheap parking nearby (much cheaper than others in Brugge and it's just below the hotel). I can recommend it easily. It is good for couples or small groups of friends for 1-2 nights.
Our host Paul went out of his way every day to ensure we had the best stay in Bruges. A great hotel in a quiet but central location. Would definitely return to this establishment. Highly recommended.
Hotel is located on a quiet street in the old city, just a short stroll away from Bruges city centre. The receptionist was kind and the breakfast decent.
