Hôtel L'orque Bleue, hotel in Sète

Ideally located along the Royal Canal in Sète, Hôtel L'orque Bleue is set in a Hausmannian-style building dating from the 19th century.

The hotel staff was very friendly, and helpful. Also th rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is really excellent, and we really liked having a tiny, almost separated area for our child to sleep in so we could still watch TV and talk once she was asleep. The hotel building was beautiful too.

Sete is a bit Venice but without the tourists.

Sete is a bit Venice but without the tourists. It is full of locals and local life, with fishing boats, some tour boats, yachts and even car ferries. The fantastic indoor market and restaurants specialise in seafood, particularly oysters - very reasonably priced. There are lovely walks up to Mont St-Clair, with its amazing views, or out to the lagoon or west along the miles of wide sandy beaches. There is a lot of handsome architecture in Sete and a lovely park.

The town is so walkable, yet there is still so much to see.

The town is so walkable, yet there is still so much to see. So many different little areas and so charming. I never stopped eating as there is so much food to try. The Halles market is amazing! It has a very authentic feel, laid back...you feel like a local!

Wonderful town with a special feel, great resturants, shops, walk among the waters edge. Very easy to wander, a little difficult to park but a good underground carpark on the central road. Will look out for chances to visit again.

We ate in Sete twice, but were twice disappointed.

We ate in Sete twice, but were twice disappointed. The town of Sete was dirty and crowded. It was difficult to park in Sete, and difficult to drive around at the time we went (July) as it was very busy on the roads. I would not visit Sete again.

    I liked Sete.

I liked Sete. It was a good place to finish my bike ride from St Malo. However, it was also a bit too big and busy so a day less would have been good. Lots of restaurants, bars and places to just hang out and watch the world go by. A good train service to Montpellier.

The reception staff were extremely helpful during our stay advising areas to visit and information on bus tables which enabled us to leave the car which we had travelled in for 2 days The rooms were cleaned extremely well and fresh linen was provided The French style breakfast was excejjent and served rather than the self service style like the previous 2 hotels The location was perfect with cafes, restaurants and bars in short walking distance including a Michelin rated restaurant

The location of this hotel is perfect! We were right on the canal and able to walk from the hotel to a number of different restaurants and shops. Sete is such a beautiful town, I wish we had more than one night to explore it! We stayed in 2 triple rooms with our group of 6 people and I loved how it was set up with the third bed around the corner from the main bed. The rooms were spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

The location of this hotel is absolutely brilliant, practically in view of the train station and really near the town centre. There's no denying it's basic but it's honestly perfect if you're on a bit of a budget. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great and it was faultlessly clean. The staff were really great in communications before I arrived and very friendly throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at La Singuliere. The combination of lovely setting of the hotel, proximity to the town and the gracious and welcoming hosts made our stay memorable. Sophie recommended an excellent restaurant and made reservations for us and provided great driving and parking instructions. Our breakfast was amazing - beautifully presented and delicious selections. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was impeccably clean, had a great shower, a very comfortable bed, and the woman at reception was kind and very helpful. I was a hesitant to confirm my reservation, because it was a last minute trip and Hotel Régina is only a 2-star hotel. (This week in August, all the other hotels were fully booked!) It was, however, perfect for me. I’d definitely go there again.

The location was great, in the heart of Sete. The apartment was very clean and faced a courtyard, so had no view but was very quiet. Only 1 flight of stairs. We didn’t use the a/c. The bed was firm as I like it, water pressure was great and the kitchen was perfect! There was great Wi-Fi, TV, YouTube, Netflix and more, one could pick the language. I’d stay again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, decorated with a lot of taste. Our room was very spacious with a beautiful view over the harbour, yet very quiet thanks to double glazing! Location was perfect; very central, 5mn walk from the old city. They have a locked up garage, which was really handy to store our hired electric bikes.

Though compact, the hotel tries to offer everything a traveller’s might need. The room was small but well designed and comfortable. We were only there for the night only and were sorry to leave because the beach was so inviting. There is a restaurant and bar facing the beach where we had dinner.

The studio has a great location. It also has a very comfy bed and a spacious wardrobe. Both of these are not common in this category and I absolutely enjoyed sleeping in a comfy bed compared to the sofa beds. If I come back to Sete (without a car) I would stay here again.
