Staff were very friendly and helpful, they really went the extra mile to accommodate requests and be of service. I felt quite safe at the hotel as a solo female traveller. The hotel grounds are lovely, offering nice views of the sea in the distance, and a big pool area to relax and enjoy the sun. Breakfast selection is good and I appreciate that it’s served until 11am. Bathtub is a bonus! Location is very close & walkable to the Medina and Kasbah.

I was there to celebrate a milestone birthday with my family including my elder parents and siblings. Mr. Amine Berada went above and beyond to ensure we had one of the most memorable trips! From fresh flowers to treats and an upgrade to a suite, everything was beyond our imagination.
The facilities were clean and very comfortable, the pool area is quaint and well maintained. Great breakfast with so much variety to satisfy all appetites. We can’t wait to visit again! Special thanks to the general manager Amine, for being so hospitable and kind!

El Minzah Hotel was the perfect place to stay for me as someone who was visiting Morocco for the first time! My partner, who came along with me, and I actually got a free upgrade to the suite room (the view from there was lovely!), which made the overall experience even better.
1. Great location - El Minzah was so close to places that we wanted to see, which were all in a short walking distance: Grand Socco, Tangier Medina, Saveur de Poisson, Gran Cafe de Paris, El Dorado, etc.
2. 24/7 guest service - if you needed something, there’s always someone at the reception desk. We checked out at 5am and there was someone looking out for our airport taxi. Also, the hotel staff was multilingual, friendly, and approachable and should you have any requests, someone is usually there to help you. (We did have a lock issue, where our lock wouldn’t allow two key cards - one for me and one for my partner - to unlock the same door of our original suite but the hotel staff transferred us to another suite that allowed us to use two key cards - the technician there was nice and helpful as well!) The security guards were also nice and attentive, usually directing me to my rideshare or tour guide when they’re in front of the hotel.
3. Free breakfast! We were there every morning, and it was a great way to start off a busy day of traveling, especially if you’re on a budget. I’m also a fan of their buffet-style breakfast - having variety makes continental breakfast a more enjoyable no-cost eating experience.
4. Amenities - we enjoyed the TVs, snacks, and hot shower in our room. The restaurants at El Minzah were convenient to have when we were too tired to leave the hotel to eat (I got to try their wine bar one night and a glass of Chardonnay only cost 60 MRD/6 USD). There were also other amenities that we did not take advantage of but wished we could’ve tried them if we had more time (such as the spa, pool, and gym).

Tangier is off the beaten path for tourists.
Tangier is off the beaten path for tourists. The old section was busy and the vendors are willing to bargain. It still has an older airport but for the little town they were adequate. The hotel arranged for a larger taxi and the drivers were fluent in French but not so much English. It was a laid back time with no one begging. The city had plain clothed police in the tourist areas but it was kind of cute because they were in plain clothes but had a red arm band stating they were police.

We traveled during Ramadam (on a budget) so most cafes were closed during the day, except those in heavy tourist areas, but this meant less tourists, so all in all a positive experience. The water was turned off in the Medina on two of the four mornings we were there, so I would recommend staying outside the Medina but close to it. Small dars and riads have steep stairs and no elevators so not a great option for everyone, but they have the most charm and hospitality. The Kasbah area is very nice with beautiful views.

Tangier has a special place in my heart!
Tangier has a special place in my heart! I've made so much realisations here. Indeed, a beautiful and warm place with such hospitality can help those people struggling with their mental health to realign their aspirations in life and eventually open themselves up to the rest of the world. I might not have been to a lot of places in Tangier due to short stay, the tranquility of this place helped me a lot more than any of my stay elsewhere. This is not just a holiday for me, it was a precious set of memories amongst a sea of negativities I am facing everyday that I will hold on to, to reach a better place not just for myself, though it seems like a selfish way of indulgence in the eyes of many which they would never understand.
Thank you

I love Tangier, it was the highlight of my stay in Morocco.
I love Tangier, it was the highlight of my stay in Morocco. It was beautiful, I felt like I was in an Indiana Jones movie. The only downside was the parking was not free as advertised in the apartment listing and we had to pay.
The Riad is so beautiful - the interiors will take your breath away! Our room was very beautiful, especially the door, the ceiling and the view from the window! The staff in the hotel is very very friendly and their hospitality is top notch.
Their breakfast has a ton of variety and the juices were great.
I can't stop raving about this Riad and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of Tangier and be at a walking distance from the prime medina area!
Tangier was a spontaneous choice and I am so glad I chose this property. I had the room with the balcony and view of the old medina which I was very pleased with. The property is beautiful and perfectly located. Loved the interiors and stories behind the neighbourhood and some of the pieces in the property. I enjoyed the breakfast spread, it was incredible. But the star of the show for me was Muhammed, wonderful man who made sure I was taken care of as a solo traveler.
The staff at Dar Sultan were kind, welcoming and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and well located just inside the medina. We stayed in two rooms, one at the start of our trip and one at the end. Both rooms were warm, cozy and just as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. Great views from the terrace. As pointed out by other reviewers, breakfast was truly exceptional! We could not have asked for a better introduction to Morocco.
The best place we stayed in Morocco. Sure, the Riads are beautiful and novel, but La Maison really feels like a home to stay in. We were greeted so kindly, welcomed into the property and shown to the mostly lovely quaint room. Our host was so lovely, spending time to talk with us and tell us the history of the house. One of the most lovely people we met in Morocco. Go here, spend a bit more, and enjoy a wonderful experience.
The most beautiful hotel in Morocco in general and in Tangier in particular, in terms of location, beautiful view and views, very clean, sophisticated and respectful treatment, frankly they have wonderful dealings with customers, very respectful management, thank you very much to them .
. I thank Mrs. Kenze , she was very kind, and I thank the general manager. Frankly, I recommend this hotel to everyone.
It was stunning and everyone that worked there was incredibly kind and especially sweet with our two kids. The location is perfect. You walk right out into the thick of the Medina. We took the ferry from Tarifa and it was just a 10 minute walk from the port to the hotel. We were greeted with mint tea and a yummy cookie. It was the perfect welcome.
This hotel is super well located. Among all the Riads (actual Riads in medinas, not condos in modern parts), we tried in Morocco, this one is located closest to parking space (like, less than 100 meters away), and the Kasbah attractions are all close by. The room itself is spacey and comfortable, and the rooftop offers great views.
Really lovely, if quirky, "bijou" hotel in old building(s) located right in the Kasbah area of the old Medina, so all main attractions are within a short walk. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant if you prefer to dine in the hotel (we did!!). Perfect for a short visit to see the old town of Tangier.
Plain hotel and location is right above the bus station that cruises drop passengers off. I wasn't informed of the breakfast timings and arrived after 9am for bf, not knowing it's already closed. A nice crew at the kitchen helped me with some coffee and food before I made my wah to tangier city.
The hotel is a masterpiece. It's one of the oldest hotels in Tangier and looks historical. It has an amazing view of the harbor. The staff were welcoming and nice. The restaurant good. The hotel is located in the old medina so everything was close by.
hotel is sooo beautiful and elegant, breakfast is Amazing, staffs are very helpful, location is inside the medina but not hard to find(very close to bab kasbah)
very comfortable stay here and probably my favorite hotel i stayed in Morocco
Great location with easy access to the Medina. The staff was warm and welcoming. It is in the heart of things, and right next to the mosque, so not the quietest stay. But that is to be expected! Terrific introduction to Morocco.
I am frequent traveler.one of the best hotel with prime location and very helpful & amazing staff. It is very very clean near to beach and walking distance from main town center, if I go Tangier that is only hotel I will stay.
It’s a great location with very friendly staff, clean and comfortable. We only had a little bit of trouble finding it because it used to be called the Medina hotel. Make sure to look for the signs for Medina hotel
We were welcomed with Moroccan tea biscuits. All the staff is great especially Tarik were great. Very good location in Medina close to Petit Socco and not far away to beach. Hotel gas rooftop restaurant.
At Cultural Morocco Tours, we consistently choose this hotel as our top recommendation for our guests, and it never fails to impress. We wholeheartedly endorse this hotel for anyone visiting Tangier
The location is great and the rooms are a nice size and comfortable.
There are several options for restaurants and shopping close by and the hotel is a easy walk to the Tangier medina.
This hotel is very close (walking distance)to the ferry terminal and across from the beach.
It was a good hotel to sleep the one night to continue our travels in Morocco the next day.
A beautiful and chic French style hotel which took us back to 1930's Morocco. Amazing facilities and a short walk to the medina. Would definitely recommend for a tranquil break!
