We loved absolutely everything! As a huge Beatrix Potter fan it was amazing to stay in an actual cottage that was featured in a few of her books. The historical factor, how pretty the cottage is both inside and out, the décoré, the location! It was all so beautiful- not a single fault to be had. And Robert, the fantastic owner, is one in a million.

Buckle Yeat guesthouse is a 17th-century Lakeland cottage with traditional rooms, situated in the village of Near Sawrey, in the Lake District. Off-road parking and free Wi-Fi are available. Full of character, Buckle Yeat has a large oak beamed lounge with an open log fire, antique furniture and cozy armchairs. All of the individually decorated rooms at the Buckle Yeat have private bathrooms, tea/coffee, TVs and hairdryers. A full English breakfast is provided in the dining room. Hill Top Farm, the former home of Beatrix Potter, is situated close by. Buckle Yeat was featured in her books.

Buckle Yeat has been run by the same family since 1984, it is a small friendly guesthouse offering visitors excellent accommodation at very reasonable rates. The cottage is situated in Near Sawrey right next door to Hill Top the former home of the childrens writer Beatrix Potter, her home is now a museum and open to the public. In Fact Buckle Yeat was featured in some of her famous books. Buckle Yeat is rightly famous for its Cumbrian breakfast using only the best local produce, all diets are catered for
