I liked the size of the apartment, pretty spacious. Very clean, equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. Comfortable bed if you like firm mattresses (I liked it very much). Heaters in every room, including the bathroom.
Set 5 mi from Los Picos de Europa National Park, Hostería La Antigua is located in Potes off Plaza Capitán Palacios. The rustic-style guest house offers rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Picos de Europa is a stunningly scenic area especially popular with motorcyclists. Potes has an alpine feel about it and charmingly rustic. Lots of restaurants in the village and supermarkets. The roads in the area are narrow and twisty.

Potes lives up to its tag as one of the most Beautiful villages in Spain with delightful sights round every corner .
Plenty of bars and restaurants , we enjoyed sampling bottles of the local cider from the novelty dispenser on the bar (see photos) in La Maison La Torre along with tasty tapas which was all reasonably priced
The Casa Cayo has wonderful, friendly and efficient staff , the restaurant overlooks the river and the food looked delicious although we didn’t eat here as we had already eaten we enjoyed a few glasses of the local wine
We would love to return to beautiful Potes

My family and I enjoyed every moment in Potes, can't wait to go back. It was worth the 9 hour drive and would glady do it again. Beautiful views and places to explore from morning till night. So many adventurous activities to do in potes and nearby towns. The kids enjoyed doing zip wiring and going up in the cable cars to the mountains. Lovely variety of restaurants to choose from and some with outdoor seating with lovely views. The local people were were very welcoming and helpful.

Potes is an ideal base to explore the picos and is a lovely little town, had our ferry company not cancelled our original crossing on us at very short notice ( 30 minutes) we would have had an extra two days here which would have been more preferable to riding down through France on a motorway.
Food and drink establishments are in abundance and you can have a very pleasant 3 course meal with a glass of wine or beer for €14 and even an expensive top end meal will only cost $25 a head with drinks
Let me start with the conclusion: The place is very nice. Elena is an excellent host. You will feel at home away from home.
The place is very beautifully decorated, charming, very clean and just a walk away from the center of Potes.
The room was spacious, very comfortable with nice views
I travel quiet a lot for work and the breakfast at villa Elena is better than any industrial 5stars. The perfect breakfast to start the day.
There is a large private parking that accommodates cars or motorbikes
Everything. Location is unbeatable, just in the town center, in front of POTES sign and surround by wonderful restaurants. We stay at the first floor apartment and was clean, confortable and with a nice balcony viewing the town. Kitchen has everything you need and the Chocolate Orujo left as a present is a plus. Staff downstairs at the wonderful store was nice and gave us good recommendations for eat and site visits. Definitely, the place to stay in Potes.
Casa Cayo was absolutely wonderful. There is no AC but that is the norm in Norther Europe. Nicely anointed room on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind. Staff is absolutely wonderful and goes out of their way to accommodate their guest. Food in the restaurant is very good and breakfast is fantastic.
Potes is a wonder and beautiful city and Casa Cayo is the perfect place to enjoy your time in this wonderful city.
Casa Matapalacios is a little gem in a gorgeous and adorable little town. 2-3 min drive to Potes. It’s in the perfect spot to enjoy a majestic view of Picos de Europa. The house has everything you need to have an amazing time enjoying the outdoors, the weather, the view. Very comfortable place and the owners are very very nice. We loved our stay in in the town of Potes/Matapalacios. We will definitely go back!
Everything. The location is amazing though, overlooking the river and in the very middle of everything without being loud or unpleasant.
The owner is super nice, helpful and friendly.
We got extra attention for our dog, including a wonderful bed for her, bowls, blankets and of course a river outside the door.
Potes is a beautiful town, Apartment El Nial makes it even nicer!
A friendly, family-run hotel! Great location (right in the oldtown, but the room was very quiet at night since it is at the back of the building). Very nicely decorated. Alberto was great and helpful. They also run a Cantabrian-products store in the front. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Great property with views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. Very quiet location but still only a 10 min drive (or 30 min walk) into Potes. Host was helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. Very handy location for doing various walks in the area.
Perfect location, in the main road coming to Potes from the North. 5 min walking to the town center.
Very comfortable, everything clean and tidy. Great views to the nearby montains.
Outstanding breakfast, with products from the area and healthy options.
Large, spacious apartment a five-minute walk from the center of Potes. We enjoyed looking out over the hillsides from the porches. The host runs a fruit market downstairs (and left a nice basket of fruit for us on arrival)
Located very close to the centre of potes.
The host was very helpful and explained all the house features brilliantly through Google translate. A very nice woman.
Excellent secure parking for our motorbikes
We loved the hotel. They gave us a huge suite
The hotel is managed by a family with photos of the whole family. We loved it We would highly recommend the hotel. So much love from
A local family
Comfy bed and pillows
Shower was hot and powerful
The hotel provided a fan for my room because there was no air and the window faced out into a light well which was noisy all the time.
