The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.
I really love the city. Green tree all around and you can feel the nice weather and fresh air. You have many option where you can take your meal. Everything is clean and people around you will help you if you have any issue. There is many beautiful places to visit. And in the evening you can enjoy the night life.

It was a beautiful city.
It was a beautiful city. The procedures were smooth and comfortable. The architectural style of the city was modern and beautiful. The level of food was good and the prices were between medium and high. In terms of the cleanliness of the city, it was very good. There was crowding at times.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).

Amman is a great place to stay for a few days, even for someone like me who doesn't particularly enjoy city stays. Super easy to get around by walking, or by taxi (you can use the careem app or Uber), and many local buses go within Amman as well as buses to take you to other cities in the country. Options for local food are great for budget travelers (you can spend as little as 1 JD to get a good sandwich). I loved exploring the different neighborhoods around as well as the downtown area. Make sure to check out Hashem for its famous falafel and hummus. If you like Turkish bath houses, the Al-Pacha one was amazing and I would recommend it! The locals in the city are super friendly and helpful and not as pushy to sell you things or trying to take advantage of you which is also amazing.

A very authentic experience.
A very authentic experience. This was the first Arabic city I ever visited and I loved it. The landscape has a lot of hills so you should wear comfortable shoes and be ready to go up and down all the time.
Locals are very friendly and cheerful.
When it comes to food, you can find everything from cheap (but delicious) local food for as low as 1 EUR for a falafel set to posh, exquisite restaurants with a menu in English in the city center.
The whole city is a huge bazaar where you can buy anything.
There are not so many historic landmarks but the Citadel and the Roman Theater are nice, and the view from there is charming.

i would definitely recommend this city for travelers because it is a charming and colorful town it is true that it is a big city one of the biggest in the Middle East but it has everything for everyone. restaurants, bars old ruins, shops new ones and old style a like And it has wonderful and kind people anytime ready to help and to make your stay a wonderful experience. Moving around is easy despite the traffic could be hard sometimes, there are massive traffic jams at the rush hours but there are a great deal of taxis they are yellow and use meters the price is not high There is also Uber and the local Careem
Places to go, rainbow street for many it is the most beautiful street in Amman, you may try the best falafel in the Middle East at Al Quds there are many bars and restaurants and shops that sell souvenirs some good stuff. Downtown is a bustling area we bought coffee from one of the oldest coffee shops in town, there are also I think 3 Habiba sweets that sell baclava and kunafeh made in many ways The habiba sweets shop between King Faisal square and K Ghazi street it is said to be the original but they all have delicious sweets
The new area in the Abdali the Abdali boulevard and the Abdali Mall are worth a night out
The citadel is a must it is inhabited from the old times it was the center of the kingdom of Ammon and there are ruins from the period of the Romans and the Byzantines and also the Omayyad also a must is the roman theater in the Hashemite Square
For going out one may try the Paris Square in Jabal al Lweibdeh
Amman is the capital of an amazing country, it is a safe place to go
I loved it
Excellent place to stay in Amman. Lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and it's not far from the Roman Theatre. Also it's really easy and cheap to book taxis using whatever app you prefer (if you don't like walking up and down hills!) Breakfast was really good and only a short walk away. The room was really big and clean. Has everything you need and the host was really helpful. If we get the chance to return to Amman, we would definitely stay here again. Easily the best place we booked during our trip to Jordan.
Very friendly staff.
The lady we saw in the morning recommended a tour to us to be able to see Amman on our last day in Jordan without being pushy about it. Very friendly, correct information, good price, good English.
Very glad she did this and that we accepted, it made our day so much better and easier.
The hotel is in a good location.
Rooms have everything you need (except maybe a second chair in a room for two people?) And are very good value.
We wanted to book a hotel near downtown, upon checking reviews in Booking went blindly and booked the hotel, it exceeded our expectations, situated very near to the downtown and famous restaurant Hashems, Thair was a wonderful host, and ensured our stay was very comfortable, we ended up chatting for hours talking about Jordan and Amman. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Thank you Thair for being such a wonderful host!
Spacious and clean room. Special thanks to Mr. Iskander very helpful, accommodating, and kind person. He upgraded us to a room with breakfast (our original booking was without breakfast) and he allowed us to keep the room longer for free as we had a late-night flight. Free access to the Regency Hotel with rooftop pool, DJ, indoor pool, and spectacular views of Amman. Best breakfast and dinner buffet also. Highly recommended.
A really incredible hotel. Very clean, very nice, staff who made us feel very welcome form the very start (escelialy the host Mohammed Qasem). Great breakfast, lunch and diner. They had good prices on the menu. They were cleaning all the time and helped us with everything. I wille recomend this hotel in Amman. Thank you Opal for the wonderfull stay in your hotel resort. If we come back to Jordan we will book it again.
Hotel is located in Downtown Amman, so you can easily get anywhere on foot. Owner was the kindest person I had met in Jordan! He really cares about his customers and helps with everything. Breakfast was very good, food was tasty and fresh. You can also have free tea or coffee anytime. It is possible to park your car in front of the building. Room was clean and air conditioner worked properly.
Very nice boutique hotel that I would recommend to anyone staying in Amman. For the price you get a very modern, very clean and comfortable room. The lobby is lovely and the staff is welcoming. We stayed at the hotel at the end of our 11-day vacation trip in Jordan and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this property that surpassed standards of some big hotels we stayed in 👌
We stayed for 4 nights in Pasha hotel. The location is great to see the major sites in Amman and close to restaurants and down town. We booked several trips through Pasha Hotel although probably could get them cheaper if you shopped around it was more convient and less hassle. The breakfast was very basic same as the rooms. The staff very helpful and always tried there best to help
We have stayed almost two weeks in the hotel, it has been like our home in Amman. The rooms are very comfortable, with aircondition and good cleaning. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the manager has helped us arrange accomodation and transportation for several trips around Jordan.
All worked out perfectly.
We will stay here again if we return to Amman.
In my third visit to the hotel, I came from Dubai to Amman and I would recommend everyone to visit W hotel, the hotel is very cosy and calm, I loved my room, it ranks among the most faboulous and luxurious rooms I have ever seen.
Service is one of the best features at this hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering staying there.
First of all, the staff are very friendly and well trained. This is my first trip to Amman, Jordan, so I know nothing about the location. When I asked a bank and where to eat, they told me exactly what I expected with very friendly manner. The location of hotel is very close to busy street. I will come back to this hotel when I go to Amman.
excellent. location. hotel excellent. owner extreme kind and very helpful. helped me with planning my vacation here in jordan.room large clean and bathroom attached. 24 hr hot and cold water. jaber the owner was extreme helpfull and organised cheap tours in jordan and in isreal . i surely recommed the place. price was also the best in town.
A fantastic place to stay in Amman. The staff is very friendly, and the location offers walking tours to the highlights of the Jordanian capital.
The hotel is very clean and has very comfortable beds :) next time I visit Amman Dali House will be the place I will choose for sure :)
Super clean, close to the Specialty Hospital, great staff, non-smoking hotel, big room, comfortable bed, big bathroom, quiet, nice breakfast. probably the best hotel in this price range I’ve ever stayed in here in Amman.
Fantastic property in downtown Amman! Our group of 11 truly enjoyed our last night in Jordan while staying here. Sat on the rooftop and ate delicious food offered from the hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff was wonderful.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Amman downtown. The staff is really helpful and collaborative. They make reservations on request and also organise tours all around Jordan.
