Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem.
We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:)
The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite.
The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds.
The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding.
It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try:
I will definitely come back:)
Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature.
Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere,
Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;)
Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.
There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas.
It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.
Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!
The place is fantastic. The rooftop is the perfect place to see the old Siwa area; it has the best view to see the sunset and sunrise as well.
The staff Amir was suuuper helpful, very kind, and friendly. His breakfast, especially the Egyptian foul, was lovely. Also, he makes a good massage; if you need it you can ask for it!
It’s located nearby the bus station close to the center as well. From many sides, overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend this place for others to stay.
Everything, starting from the location in Dakrour mountain and the marvelous view, to the staff (Ali Noweigy) helpful, clean, smiley faces all the time, strongly helpful in every way, to the room and how clean, neat, beautiful, comfy & saving the tradition of SIWA in all it’s details, also the breakfast amazing that most of it from the plants growing around the rooms of the Grand SIWA Home, yes it’s a home of extraordinary art and beauty.
Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Enjoying chilled time by the fire under the stars. As a solo traveler it's great as you can have a private or shared room for a reasonable price.. Thank you
The room had everything we needed. Good AC, mosquitoes net, repelent plug in, dark at night and during the morning (something new in Egypt?) and nearby the main square (few blocks away). We loved Siwa, and Ahmed is a great host, he picked us up from the bus station and helped us with our laundry. Thanks for everything you did during our stay!
Faraj has been a wonderful host. You can't miss on him, he's a knowledgeable guy that loves his bedouins roots and is ready to share them with you. The place itself is amazing, to visit Siwa you can't look for anything more. Room, bathroom and breakfast exceeded my expectations and will make sure to come back when I'll have the chance.
Great facilities and atmosphere to relax with amazingly wonderful rock mountain and lake view. Friendly staffs and cute dogs :) Delicious breakfast. Even though there are some restrictions on using of water and electricity like other ecolodges, but you can effortlessly accept this as a part of Siwa life 😀
Everything in the hotel was great ! The host is super hospitable and pick us in the bus station at the late night. The room is super clean and comfortable . Hot shower is great, the pool inside the hotel also a refreshment after a long day tour. Highly recommended.
超级推荐!超赞的地方。很干净
This is the place to be in Siwa!!
Vibes are chill, Naggar and the guys are amazing. The land is covered in fruit trees and it's part of a date plantation. Location is good as well. Don't forget to try the Siwi juice and enjoy the pool with the little manager Adam!
The breakfast was amazing, delicious, and nutritious. The property itself is a beautiful little gem outside of the main part of Siwa (but only a brief walk away). It is a quiet and peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend for any visitors to Siwa.
A wonderful hotel to watch the sunset or sunrise. It is an island followed by a number of islands, especially the island of the old houses, for which the hotel organizes a cruise to watch the sunset and enjoy Siwi tea (Zarda) and eat peanuts
Magnificent experience in a great island by siwa lake, delicious breakfast, friendly host warm and clean rooms with extraordinary trips in siwa. Good for solo girls/travellers and big groups.
Amazing sunset and sunrise views
Lovely, modern, spacious room. Great location in the heart of Siwa. Situated in the old part of town, the rooftop of the hotel has an amazing view of the old, as well as the new town. Staff was kind and accomodating.
One comes to Siwa to enjoy the splendid isolation of the oasis and the desert and this property combines both as well as a respect to the Siwan tradition regarding achitectural features , decoration etc
The staff very helpful and kind
It was the first time to me in siwa, it was a wonderful experience and the camp was very good choice to live siwa's vibe 🥰
