The hostess is really nice and made us feel welcome. We got some great tips from her, and had a wonderful evening. The room was way better than we expected. Everything felt like home. So welt equiped and thoughtful. Beds were really comfy and the view is to die for - just sitting with coffee and watching it was like an attraction.

Beautiful location with lots to do, especially if you enjoy outdoor/adventure holidays: walking, hiking, biking and climbing etc. The views from the valley are beautiful though so also makes for a beautiful spot to relax with a good book. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed the walking trail near our house. We also enjoyed trying to walk around the lake. It was pretty warm that day and I didn't get half way before my family said I probably needed to go back (age 81). Two of them made it all the way around but one daughter stayed with me. It was good advice to go back as I was pretty pooped by then. Two of them went up the gondola and two of us stayed behind. One of my daughters walked other various trails there and also went to the castle ruins. I loved looking at the beautiful mountains and everyone was mowing and making hay while we were there. Was interesting to see how different it was from the way we do it in America. Gosau and Hallstatt are two of my favorite places.

Gosau is a lovely place to stay.
Gosau is a lovely place to stay. The village is quite spread out, but this adds to the rural feel of village, which is very appealing. The residents are very friendly and helpful. The skiing is excellent. Gosau is well situated for short day trips to beautiful towns of Hallstatt and Bad Ishl. I could very easily live there full time. A charming place with incredible views from valley and whilst out skiing. Very good lift system out on mountains.

We loved Gosau.
We loved Gosau. Initially we wanted to stay in Hallstatt, but there were no available rooms for good price in any hotel there. So I checked the map for locations around and found Gosau. In the end it's so much better we've chosen Gosau as this place is so much more relaxed with not that many tourist. We'll definitely go back to this place if we are around. Highly recommended.AndorHungary

It has two very clean and well-equipped bathrooms and a great functioning kitchen. The hosts were very helpful with everything and the check in and check out completely hassle-free. The location is fantastic! You are very close to the magnificent Gosau lake with tons of activities around. Totally recommended for a group of friends - the house can sleep up to 7-8 people if you squeeze a bit.

Near Gosauseen lake a great place to hike. It has a lovely restaurant and cafe. Check-in instructions where very flexible. Even if you plan on visiting Hallstatt, i would reommend booking Ferienwohnung Dependance Faschl and just have a 10 minute drive to Hallstatt. In my opinion the view is way better in Gosau. They even have heated floors in the bathroom and you have everything you need. One of the best properties i've stayed in in my life.CristianRomania

We had half board with all inclusive drink option. We recommend this combination for all who want to do treks in the country around. Meal was good - no disappoinment. Moreover, a few meals were super exceptional - paella with seafood, and nougat balls with fruit sauce. I can't ommit mentioning and recommending wine. Wine was good

The owner Martina was very helpful and communicative. The garden is big ideal for kids to play. Great location in Gosau with stunning view from the terrace and the upper bedroom. Above all, it feels like staying in a real home, not artificial touristy apartment. Totally recommended! A real home away from home!
