Loved our stay! Rustic but comfortable. Walk to town and its many restaurants, and beach. Relax after a long day of hiking in the large pool or the many rooms equipped with comfortable sofas. The king size bed was comfortable, the terrace private and overlooking a pine grove. We recommend it heartily.

Great value and location close to the beach and restaurants. Very quiet, and it was great to have a private terrace. As a perk, the owner offered a free and very varied breakfast. There was also a dry climate garden with labeled plants and their country of origin. Very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again.

Really lovely location
Quiet
Good local bars/restaurants even in November
Long beach to walk along
Quaint squares with children's playgrounds and bars etc
Easy to walk around, downhill to the beach, then flat rest of the way
Parking limited, but we didn't have a problem
Quite a lot of steps plus handrails, for better views
Nearest bar, downhill, was excellent

San Jose is a great little town with lots of bars and restaurants and shops. It is perfect for families looki kg to get away for the weekend and close to their beautiful towns. The beach is nice (it’s not the most beautiful or famous but it’s a beach with showers and toilets) . We love coming here

Small Mediterranean coastal town in the Cabo de Gata National Park. Very attractive location with beautiful beaches and good bars and restaurants. However, we have only visited the town out of season (usually over Christmas) when it is very quiet, but by no means dead. It is a different story in mid summer when it is absolutely teeming with holiday makers

San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is...
San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is a delightful, low rise, old-fashioned looking place yet with some great (modern) restaurants, bars and cafes. I hope it remains as under developed as it is as it is a total gem on this built up coast. The Cabo de Gata natural park is simply stunning - if you have a car and drive 15 minutes west to the beaches out of town, you will be rewarded with long stretches of almost empty beaches (again out of season) backed by stunning agave plants and rock formations. truly unique and beautiful - long may it continue as a relatively unspoiled beauty spot.

We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous.
We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous. The only down side is that it's not easy to get to nearby places by public transport. It's easy enough to get from Almeria to San Jose though abd tge buses are comfy and reliable. Check out Bar Monsul. Great fun and good value for money. Lovely beaches but too cold in November for us to go in the water.

This resort is quiet
It suited us as we are a mature couple
This resort is quiet
It suited us as we are a mature couple
It is more expensive to eat out than surrounding areas however there are excellent restaurants in the resort
We had dinner in Casa Pepe which needs to be prebooked
By the harbour there are good seafood restaurants
I don't know exactly why but it's one of my favorite hostels I've stayed at. There's a beautiful outdoor kitchen on the terrace with a lovely view. But you also have the option to eat at the cafe/bar/chiringuito of the hostel. I also highly appreciated that I could just check in when I arrived even though it was before official check in time. The people working at the hostel were very welcoming but still authentic and themselves. I loved my time in San Jose 🏜️🇪🇸🌊
Everything about this hotel was wonderful: the amazing location, the clean style, the welcoming staff. In many hotels you can hear neighbors or other guests talking and snoring with your window closed, but in this hotel I could leave the window open and hear nothing but the pleasant sounds of the waves coming from the amazing beach that's right there. I really hope to be back in this beautiful and peaceful hotel.
Beautiful property, amazing hospitality, walkable location to the local shops & restaurants & parking available! Many beaches are a quick drive out of the town, although the beach in San José is nice too. Comfortable bed, soundproof rooms. Highly recommend. Also the breakfast for 7€ was well worth it. San José is the highlight of Cabo de Gata & of Spain.
- This hotel has the best view and good access to the beach.
The staff is amazing; they will do everything to make you feel at ease.
The apartment is great to apart from some minor issues.
I expected parking to be more challenging, but we found good spots near the hotel.
Location beautiful. Parking in garage was easy. Everything new and apartment well designed. Maria was extremely helpful. Nice to have a restaurant below the unit to have a nightcap. Lighting was great and plenty of electrical outlets. Would definitely stay there again.
Everything was great. Very short walk to the beach, restaurants, supermarket, bakery. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was excellent. Price was very good in relation to the stay. It has an elevator. 24 hour coffee machine. Parking and the wifi worked well.
Beautiful view of San José bay from the balcony. Good comfy beds and plenty of space to store your things. A cook’s knife that cuts would have been a bonus. The location of the apartments a short walk away from Genoveses beach makes it perfect.
The room was great with an amazing view of the ocean and marina. It's a short walk to San Jose Beach and restaurants, shops, etc. The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Situation directly overlooking the sea, also very central for San Jose restaurants, bars and beach. Very spacious outside terraces. Well equipped. Located in a beautiful area within the Cabo de Gata national park.
Amazing comfortable mattresses and pillows, I slept better there than at home.
It was always super clean and the staff (especially the cleaning one) was super friendly.
Would repeat in San José.
We loved the little town the hotel was located in. Small and right on the beach. The hotel staff was exceptional. The room was perfect with two bedrooms. The view was spectacular.
Great location in quiet street. Clean spacious rooms. Easy to park a car in the street next to the hotel. Comfortable bed. Complementary breakfast was a pleasant surprise!
Central location in San Jose, great value for money, (my) room with a small balcony, aircon, TV, small fridge.
Very friendly staff, speak english if needed.
