The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.
A bustling capital with some interesting roads. Drivers like to honk their horn most of the time! I guess because of the congested traffic state.
Old downtown is very nice and offer a great reflection of the Jordanian culture and personality.

It was a beautiful city. The procedures were smooth and comfortable. The architectural style of the city was modern and beautiful. The level of food was good and the prices were between medium and high. In terms of the cleanliness of the city, it was very good. There was crowding at times.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).

Amman is a great place to stay for a few days, even for someone like me who doesn't particularly enjoy city stays. Super easy to get around by walking, or by taxi (you can use the careem app or Uber), and many local buses go within Amman as well as buses to take you to other cities in the country. Options for local food are great for budget travelers (you can spend as little as 1 JD to get a good sandwich). I loved exploring the different neighborhoods around as well as the downtown area. Make sure to check out Hashem for its famous falafel and hummus. If you like Turkish bath houses, the Al-Pacha one was amazing and I would recommend it! The locals in the city are super friendly and helpful and not as pushy to sell you things or trying to take advantage of you which is also amazing.

A very authentic experience.
A very authentic experience. This was the first Arabic city I ever visited and I loved it. The landscape has a lot of hills so you should wear comfortable shoes and be ready to go up and down all the time.
Locals are very friendly and cheerful.
When it comes to food, you can find everything from cheap (but delicious) local food for as low as 1 EUR for a falafel set to posh, exquisite restaurants with a menu in English in the city center.
The whole city is a huge bazaar where you can buy anything.
There are not so many historic landmarks but the Citadel and the Roman Theater are nice, and the view from there is charming.
The location of hotel is on main street which could be positive or negative for someone. The location was extremely convenient for me as I wanted to catch the bus for King Hussain Bridge in morning and Jet bus Abdali station is 2min walk. The suite was large with king size bed. The 5 stars 🌟 I will give to the old man who checked me in in evening and made request for breakfast box for me to be ready morning 630am as I was going to catch bus 715am. Their breakfast starts at 8am usually, real Jordanian hospitality.
Excellent stay at this hotel - perfect way to start my visit to Jordan. The suites are so comfortable with everything you need. Staff were so helpful with tips for the city and maps etc. Breakfast is great and the dinner I had in the hotel also really good quality. It’s a great distance from Rainbow St and downtown. Rooftop is a beautiful oasis and great to get a view of Amman. The adjoining bar was also great with great drinks and a cool place to see the sunset over Amman.
Very decent place for Amman. Close to shops and restaurants, but still located on a very quiet street. Close to Roman theatre, Amman citadel. Good breakfast included in the price. I was very happy with my stay. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I also booked my trips around Jordan from the hotel at a very good price. My driver Umar was great as well, punctual, friendly and he did everything to make my trips remembering. Highly recommend

The Hotel is located at the heart of down town with vibrant atmosphere. Close to Roman Theatre, Amman Citadel and Nympho Theatre. Fantastic tasty breakfast with the best Humus we had in a while. Yahia the Hotel Manager was a gem of a person. He will give you a run down about the area and suggest you best places to eat and shopping. Yahia is the best person for your Jordan trip helping you unconditionally.
Was our first night arriving in Jodan. We took the rental car from the airport for a 25min ride through Amman to get to Canary Hotel. People are welcoming and friendly. Room was good and clean, the bathroom was new with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious. If you come by car there are plenty parking lots in the area around the hotel. Was a great experience for our first night in Jordan.
Very nice boutique hotel that I would recommend to anyone staying in Amman. For the price you get a very modern, very clean and comfortable room. The lobby is lovely and the staff is welcoming. We stayed at the hotel at the end of our 11-day vacation trip in Jordan and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this property that surpassed standards of some big hotels we stayed in 👌
Fantastic hotel, from the moment you walk in (entrance is built to resemble Petra). The stafff is super friendly. the rooms are trendy and fun (not your average hotel room) with an amazing view of Amman. Also nice that in your room the put a selection of traditional Jordanese sweets. Breakfast was amazing, high quality and so many options.
Clean place, and big space room I was upgraded to suite room with 1 bed room and living room space kettle, tea iron board with iron👍 The hotel is bit out from old center but positive quite for sleep, otherhand taxi in Amman pretty cheap compared to other tourist places. Bed is hard as I prefer!
You feel like home recommended
We chose this property so that we could drive close to Amman without dealing with the city traffic. Ubers into Amman are very cheap and the drive from the airport to the hotel was not very busy. The hotel is nice and taxi drivers know it well, great place to stay near downtown Amman
I liked the staff .both staff members Sana and omran are friendly and helpful.
I do recommend this hotel it is in the middle between the east and the west of Amman.
They took care of my elderly mum,did their best to make her comfortable.
Fantastic property in downtown Amman! Our group of 11 truly enjoyed our last night in Jordan while staying here. Sat on the rooftop and ate delicious food offered from the hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff was wonderful.
best value/ quality ratio i’ve seen in my life even knowing that i traveled to 30 countries. Location is perfect, staff are extremely nice, rooms and breakfast are outstanding! That’s the ideal hotel for me in Amman.
Location is perfect, all main sights of Amman are in walking distance. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, maybe the best during our 2weeks journey in Jordan. The hotel is really clean.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Amman downtown. The staff is really helpful and collaborative. They make reservations on request and also organise tours all around Jordan.
Special thanks to Mr Raouf
