We went to historic attractions ( Susan B Antony Home) as well as the museum of science and several local restaurants. We were there for a few days preceding the eclipse in April. There is a lot to do in Rochester and you can get there by car or Amtrak.

Courtyard Rochester Downtown was the best place to stay for visiting Colleges with our daughter. The hotel looks just like new, it’s beautiful ,the room was as beautiful, spacious, confortable, and super clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. We loved that there were lots of places to eat and hang out just crossing the street, also that it had a parking lot for our rented car and an ease ride from the hotel to both Colleges that we visited. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back

The area felt safe, clean and was very convenient to the University of Rochester (our target area as we moved our son into local apartment to begin graduate school). Laundry room was a wonderful bonus and was conveniently located adjacent to workout room so I did time on the treadmill while waiting for laundry. The room was comfortable. There was lovely access to the river and walking/ nature areas just outside the hotel.

The pictures do not do the place justice. It is even nicer than that! We enjoyed our ti e here immensly! The place feels like home. It literally has anything you (think you) might need and than some. The privat parking is a huge extra bonus. The buildi g is secure and clean. You can do laundry on the same floor. I seriously recommend this over any hotel in the area. We are already looking forward to visit here again.

The place was more spacious than I realized, very much enjoyed the reading/sitting area in the front. The kitchen had quite a few utensils, pots & pans, etc. We were there so such a short time, basically only to sleep, that we weren’t able to make use of it. There were supplies to make coffee but we didn’t even do that.
