Best Western Town & Country Lodge, hotel in Tulare

This Tulare hotel is just off Highway 99, a 1-hour drive from Sequoia National Park. The hotel features a full daily breakfast and guest rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The complementary breakfast was spot on, food tasted great and was hot. Even the biscuits and gravy was a hit. Definitely above expectations. Staff was very friendly and answered all questions at check in. Room was very clean and comfortable. We have stayed to several hotels post covid shutdown, and it was so refreshing to stay at a hotel where you can tell the staff truly care and have pride in their work.

Location is excellent as there’s a restaurant right next door, gas and stores all in walking distance but hotel was very noisy, people talking, arguing and blasting music at all hours especially starting at 5am, this hotel needs a security guard! AC unit is way too close to the beds, no refrigerator in 85 degree weather, not enough room in the shower or storage for clothes or shoes.

I picked Tulare as it was four hours away, the time I wanted to drive. The town is in the middle of agricultural land, crops, manure and cattle. There was nothing attractive about the town. There is the busy highway and fast food restaurants. Next drive? I will not stop at Tulare. And sorry to all the people who made their homes there. I do not wish to be rude to you.

Nice town with lots of facilities, a large Walmart did not have a bakery. Plenty of fuel stations and very nice outlet centre. The only drawback was the train noise, although nothing could be done about it, did not know that all trains have to blow horn when passing through any crossing a safety measure so it goes on through the night, so unless your used to it wakes you up very time. Some nice eating places Annies just a short walk away was very good and large helpings, nice staff

Don’t think what it said on reviews and wasn’t pleasant cause I went to my room at 6 and had cops knocking at the door for noise complaints which wasn’t the room I stayed in so after that really wanted to leave but already paid for the room and didn’t want to lose out on my money. Think I’ll try another nearby motel next time

Too many undesirables and police presence.

Too many undesirables and police presence. Floors had not been mopped, shower was peeling, pool was non-operational, trash cans were overflowing, room smelled of wet pet, police were present, definitely not child friendly.

Like the room set up and location. The young lady that worked 2nd shift was great tried to make our stay good however the woman in the morning not sure if she was manager, either or she was extremely rude, and very unprofessional. Porterville Motel 6 might not be updated like Tulare but the management and staff are all always AWESOME!!!!!!!! I've been staying at both locations on and off since 01/10/2023 and if you can make the drive I recommend Porterville Motel 6.

We were in the area for the trophy cup race at thunderbowl raceway and unfortunately I came down with the flu on Friday evening and spent Saturday in bed except for going out for dinner in the evening so husband can eat. The bed was undoubtedly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. Even better that my expensive sleep number bed

Highly recommend this hotel. The room was a bit compact but the layout worked really well and the bathroom was a good size. The bench under the window was a great place to put luggage. The bed was very comfy too. The staff are very friendly and professional. The location is good for the outlets, restaurants and Walmart.

The cleanliness, the soothing shower head and friendly staff. We needed a hotel room to stay the night in because a family member passed away and we needed a place to shower and rest near the hospital and Hampton met our expectations and beyond during a very unfortunate time. God bless you

The appearance was good until I realized I had to do my own cleaning. The floor was super dirty, behind the beds were filthy abs the roaches waited for me to go to sleep to start creeping. I have photos and a video of my experience in Tulare.

This is not a hotel, but at most a roadside motel. Terrible room, audibility from neighboring rooms as if the walls are paper. The overall impression is terrible, Clearly not worth $ 180 per night!
