This is a very grand hotel with a lot of character. It’s situated perfectly for access to the port and to a very large outdoor restaurant area. Our room was very spacious and lovely, on 2 levels with a small outdoor area. The owner has a very large collection of antique toys displayed throughout the hotel, a special touch. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The Sardinian capital, Cagliari has a historic old town, busy port and one of the island’s best beaches. The sweeping stretch of sand at Poetto has great summer nightlife, and just inland is Molentargius lagoon, where flamingos nest against the backdrop of the city.
Cagliari is spread over a small hill and the oldest part – Quartiere Castello – lies at the top. There are far-reaching views from Bastion San Remy, its main entrance point. Medieval city walls lead from here to the simple cathedral, and nearby is the 18th-century Palazzo Regio.
By one of the original city gates is the National Archaeological Museum, housing a collection of Phoenician and Roman artifacts from the city’s Tuvixeddu Necropolis. There are also displays of the nuraghic civilization whose former dwellings pepper Sardinia. The most impressive is Su Nuraxi north of Cagliari.
Just outside the walls are remains of a Roman amphitheater, next to the university botanical gardens. Orange tree-lined streets descend the hill towards the seafront where restaurants and bars can be found. Cagliari FC play at Sant’Elia Stadium along the coast and opposite is the Sardinia International Fair, an important conference venue.
Booking.com’s Cagliari accommodations includes luxury hotels with pools, B&Bs by the train station and cheap guesthouses near Elmas Airport.
I liked the antiquity and history. We also visited the Museum of Archeology, a definite must. The sights in Cagliari, the narrow streets and the little train that one can ride for a minimal fee.
The shop, cafe and restaurant servers were all gracious and nice, very friendly.

Weather was not nice, so we cannot really use the beaches or go the mountain (to much windy), but center and close surroundings of Cagliari are nice, wonderful views, walking in small streets. We recommend to take bus Nr.7, which is circular line. How the driver is driving thru small streets - respect. In any case is better for stay in the city to use buses - it'smore practical and ecological, cheap and good service, parking is anyway difficult.

Excellent small town, which is very pleasant to walk around, enjoy the architecture and food. In general, there is not much to do in it, except to spend time by the sea and on the beaches. 3 days is fully enough to see all parts of the city.

Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs.
Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs. Easy to get around and all nearby. Loved the narrow streets and Marina. Great cycling tour of the city to Poetta beach. The Botanical Gardens were fantastic - well worth the visit. The public civic gardens were lovely and so well maintained by the hard working crew. Also the art gallery at the end of it was small but beautiful.

A truly Mediterranean city, warm and full of life and positive vibes. It's history and culture deserve much more respect than it actually receives. Some spots are neglected (particularly Bastione San Remi), the roads are not in the best shape and overall there is a sense of neglect. Luckily the locals with their helpful attitude make up for the minuses which most probably are created by the local authorities.
Our stay at Sardinia Gem House was amazing. The apartment has been recently renovated but still has lots of character. The location is a 5 minute walk from the train station which makes it easy to get to when flying into Cagliari. Loredana was the sweetest woman and the perfect host with her fast communication and answering any questions we had. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the street which makes it easy to head to Poetto beach. We would recommend Sardinia Gem House to anyone who was wanting to visit Cagliari.
The location was excellent and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The room had 2 things you seldom get which make me happy - a duvet and a kettle with a selection of tea and coffee. The staff were very helpful - taxis are not readily available in Sardinia as in other places and they sent one to pick me up when I arrived and ordered one for me when I left. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby. This property "ticked every box" on my "wish list" and I look forward to returning.
There are B&B owners and hosts and then there's Sabrina, who not only receives you but also embraces you like a long time friend would do. Her kindness and joy are beyond words. One of a kind!
The location is excellent and you easily get access to other means of transport to visit other places around Cagliari.
Breakfast is very good and served on the rooftop overseeing the Port of Cagliari. What else can one wish?!
Thank you Sabrina for making this trip to Sardinia unforgettable.

We had a phenomenal stay here. Roberta was exceptionally warm and caring and made us feel right at home. She went out of her way to help make our trip perfect, from preparing an incredible breakfast spread in the morning, to helping us arrange local transportation, to recommending tours to some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and the B&B is stunning. We are so grateful to have found this accommodation and would stay again in a heartbeat.
WAS ONLY A 1 NIGHT STAY AS WE WERE CATCHING A TRAIN THE FOLLOWING MORNING to continue to the North of SARDINIA. The Train station was adjacent to the hotel which made for an easy departure. We were greeted on arrival by GABBY, he was most welcoming given our late arrival. Superb kitchen/Diner area with all the Facilities and the Bedroom was equally excellent. We stayed at 4 Hotels during a 15 day tour of Sicily and Sardinia and in terms of value for money..easily the WINNER!
Excellent location in the heart of Cagliari near the best restaurants and tourist sights. The building itself has been beautifully restored and the apartment is modern, bright and very clean. The breakfast was exceptional and delivered right to your room. This hotel has a lift which is important since it’s on the second floor of the building. There is no dedicated parking but were were able to find a space within walking distance of the property .
The room is simple but spacious, very clean and comfortable. Giorgio is extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. He took the time to give us recommendations for Cagliari (and even for our next stop in Sardinia !).
It has everything you need for a short stay and the location is perfect ! Everything is within walking distance.
Je recommande vivement !!
PS. The small terrasse was a welcome surprise ! Although it was too hot to enjoy it 😄
Ada was a fantastic host, with lots of great tips and information for our stay in Cagliari.
The breakfasts were amazing with Ada providing special Sardinian treats each day including my favourite - Tiramisu!
The rooms were clean and tidy (cleaned each day).
The bed was very comfortable.
Tea, coffee and cold water were always available in the kitchen.
There was free parking outside the property.
thanks for a great stay!
The room was beautiful, clean , lovely designed ,lovely en-suite bathroom ,I must add the bed was the so comfortable ,it had everything you needed in the room it was like a hotel room .The location is great it’s right in the heart of Cagliari near restaurants, bars and the marina and it’s only few minutes walk from train station that brings you right to Cagliari airport .
The facilities and the host! It was everything we needed and so clean and comfortable. The host, Valerio went above and beyond to help us with our late check in and he was so informative and helped us plan and execute our itinerary. He made our experience in Cagliari so much better! Thank you so much!! Would definitely stay again if I came back to Sardinia.
This hotel is the perfect place for a quick getaway in Cagliari City Centre. It is only eight minutes away by train directly from Elmas airport. Room 15 across the street is simply the best - Double height, comfy dorelan beds, spacious, two big windows and close to everything. Do get comfy shoes though as the city is all uphill.
The location was absolutely perfect. It was close to the train station after arriving from airport, and was within close walking distance to all the sites of Cagliari.
The apartment was very nice and spacious, it was a great deal for the price, exceeded my expectations!
Host was very responsive and helpful!
The best stay of our vacation in Sardegna, we stay also in Olbia and Sassari.
The room was spacious enough, the breakfast amazing, also we had the lunch there and it was very good.
The bus station was near the hotel with good connection to the city center and the railway station.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was centered between downtown cagliari and Poetto beach making it perfect for reaching either. Located on a relatively calm street, we were able to park a rented scooter easily and take off in the morning with relative ease.
The location of the House is very brilliant, you are very close to the wonderful beaches of South Sardinia and just 30minutes driving from Cagliari. The house is small but fully furnished. (we had everything what we needed)
We loved everything! Valerio, the host is very nice and helpful, gave us really good tips regarding Cagliari etc., and always answered our questions if we needed something! Perfect place to stay if you visit Sardegna! ❤️
Absolutely amazing hotel. Will never forget the awesome time here. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is perfect and cozy. I love to Sardinia.
stayed here our first and last nights in Sardinia. first night in large lovely room with charm. last night in very small modern room with no character.
