The city is great, it's so varied with the park, historical buildings, that it's just fun to walk around. The casemates are interesting and there is a lot to see.
Would recommend anyone going into nature as well, I hiked part of the Mullerthal trail (second part), which was a bit tough, but absolutely stunning. It's in the Little Switzerland area and really deserves that name. A bus gets you there in about an hour, definitely worth it.

Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city.
Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city. I used the (free) tram like it was a hop on hop off bus. I did a city walking tour and an art tour. I had pre-booked a Petrusse casements tour in English.
The tourist office was helpful. They told me about the art tour which I had not seen online.
Fort Thungen is open Wednesday evenings. The National museum and City museum are open late on Thursdays. Villa Vauban is open until 9pm on Fridays.
Not much goes on for tourists in Luxembourg on Mondays. I spent two of my six days (Sun/Mon) in Trier where all of the Roman sites are open on Mondays. The train to Trier is six euros RT, 45 minutes away. WOW did I do a lot of walking between Trier's Roman sites. If I had a do-over I'd buy a Trier bus pass.

It was amazing. A very beautiful city. After half an hour I felt like I never wanted to go home.
I had nice weather, could walk a lot around the city, tried the local foods and drinks.
I definitely will go back and recommend everyone to visit.
It was one of the most amazing places I've ever been.
I was lucky to visit the local market too.

Beautiful city with fairy tale views, nice walks (lovely along the river, through Parcs de la Petrusse) interesting history, and friendly people. Free public transport and/or very walkable, so very easy to get round this compact and pretty little city. Would thoroughly recommend. About 3 days was perfect, and I didn't feel like I'd missed anything, but if I'd have had longer, I would have gone further afield. Pretty kid friendly too from what I saw (although I didn't have kids). Struggled to find Luxembourgish food though.

Luxembourg is a pretty and romantic city with everything...
Luxembourg is a pretty and romantic city with everything within easy walking distance. Plenty for people who love history, walking, cafes, bars or shopping. We loved or 3 day stay, it is peaceful and easy going. It is more expensive than other European cities but not wildly so ! There is plenty of greenery around too with pretty gardens and a big park.
We arrived at the hotel late and David patiently waited for us to welcome us and check us in. He gave us a good explanation about Luxembourg city and gave us a map of the city.
The hotel room was very clean, large and modern, which included all the facilities we needed during the stay.
The hotel is very centrally located and close to a park, only a few minutes away from the city centre, old town and surrounded by very good restaurants.
There is a very nice restaurant at the hotel as well.
The staff were very accommodating seeing that we have a lot of luggages, they gave us 2 separate rooms instead of one family room that we booked. So far the best accommodation we had in our European tour. We do thank the hotel staff for their hospitality. I highly recommend for foreigners to stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is safe even at night and is conveniently located within walking distance to the city’s tram station to go to the tourist areas.
The location is great, even though the hotel is not located right in the city center, there is several bus stops very close to the hotel, and bus 29 takes you to and from the airport and the central train station.
There's a restaurant next to the hotel where you have breakfast that offers lunch and dinner, we didn't have a meal so can't comment on that but we did have coffee and dessert and it was enormous and very good, a bit pricey though.
During the day week probably a fulltime business hotel; middle in business district… but in the weekend perfect stop to stay for a citytrip. Tram stops in front of hotel, brings you for free to the city Centre. Rooms are specious, comfortable beds and very quiet rooms. Clean and fresh hotel (quite new). Parking (and charging electric car) possible just behind the hotel.
We booked a last minute getaway for our family of 6 and was able to get connecting rooms. The place was clean, staff was very courteous and great breakfast buffet included. Parking available onsite. Bus stop 100 ft from hotel and a 10-15 min ride to get to city center. Pool open with COVID guidelines. Free wifi. Easy check-in/out process.
Nice if uneven 5 star hotel a few minutes walk from the center of the city. Clean and tidy, good private parking and easy road access. The hotel bar is very nicely renovated and open till fairly late. Renovated standard rooms are very good indeed.. Other parts of the hotel such as the reception, "club" rooms and Spa are very outdated.
1. Great value, compared to other 4-star hotels in Luxembourg city, this one is outside of town but easy to transport to city center by car (12 mins) or bus (public transportation is all year free in Luxembourg county)
2. Free parking, enough car parking spots.
3. Service from hotel staff
The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was provided with towels, soap, shampoo, we had water and cups in the room which were refilled each day. The location was perfect, directly in the city centre with the view of the square. Breakfast was really good and the stuff was nice too.
Very convenient location right across the Luxembourg train station. It is about a 1KM walk to the city center which was fine for me. There is a tram/bus stop right outside the hotel too.
Room was decently sized. Breakfast was okay; nothing to shout about.
We had a great stay at Mandarina Hotel. Located in a quiet area outside the center, but still easy to reach the city center by bus. Particularly liked the comfortable bed and private parking. We'll book again this place when we return to Luxembourg!
The price paid worth it compared to other hotels in Luxembourg. The staffs were very kind especially Emilia who served our breakfast. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel that brings you to the city center in more or less 10 minutes.
Very moderately priced hotel for the facilities and the high standards provided. Only 5 minutes by bus from the city centre.
Staff were all professional and genuinely kind and helpful, including front desk, F&B and housekeeping.
although the location is not in city center, it’s an easy bus ride pretty much anywhere. the staff was so incredibly nice & helpful. by far the best hotel experience throughout Europe & USA I’ve had!
Amazing hotel, really close to the city center. The public transportation is free in Luxembourg. The breakfast is bread, butter, magiun and orange juice. We had a good room with a small garden.
Apartment was new and roomy with kitchen facilities and a balcony. Location was close to a tram stop which then gave quick access to Luxembourg main station and the city centre.
The staff is really helpful. The room was clean. The location was not a problem due to Luxembourg public transportation we had always found a bus to the Hotel and city center.
Nice and affordable hotel. Nice staff. Even though there was a distance to the city center the fact that all transport in Luxembourg is free med it easier. Nice sourrundings
