We had a great stay at the Bauhaus Hotel, perfect place to rest our head for a night, after exploring the Barossa. In a central location in Angaston, free parking behind the property and beautiful modernised rooms. Seperate bathrooms are very clean and modern, quiet rooms despite being above the pub. Lovely street with cafes & bakeries before hitting some wine tastings. Would stay here again, highly recommended! :)

Location, location, location: We had looked for a combination of hotel and winery in walking distance to each other, and this one ticked all the boxes: you can easily walk over to Chateau Tanunda in about 15mins (and others are walkable too, if you don't mind walking 30-40mins). The hotel is part of a pub/restaurant - but the rooms are really surprising: completely new, with a rain shower, quite spacious and quiet (this being a Monday maybe, could be louder on a Friday evening).
We also enjoyed the restaurant and a glass of wine on the front porch. There's ample parking in the back. Didn't see any breakfast options, but this was rare on our trip anyways - there's a bakery nearby to help you out.
The Wine Vine Hotel offers affordable accommodations in the heart of the Barossa wine region, less than 1.2 mi from the Barossa Wine and Visitor Center.
Boasting old-world, self-contained cottages with fully equipped kitchens, including continental breakfast provisions, Tanunda Cottages is located on the main street of Tanunda.

Central to everything so we could walk all over Tanunda, very comfortable, included everything we needed.
Lovely quiet little town. The Cheese company and The Real Pantry were great places to visit and nice people to talk with. Nosh makes great Iced Coffee and Gully Garden has great food, especially the peaches.

Angaston is a pretty area with Tanunda, & Nuriootpa very close by. Amenities are great with a Foodland supermarket, quaint little shops along the main street. There is a lovely farmers fresh fruit & veg store on the main drive between Angaston & Tanunda. It is about a little over an hours drive to Hahndorf & The Cedars with Hans Heydon house & gallery in the Adelaide Hills, & about 2 hours to Clare. There are lots of wineries & cellar doors close by - Pepperjack, Jacobs Creek, Peter Lehmann to name a few. Berge's U Underground cellars & tasting room is in the main street & well worth the experience. There is a hop on hop off bus which takes you around a selection of wineries $80. It leaves from the carpark behind the Visitor's Ctr in the main Street. The roads are well maintained throughout the area. Maybe a 3-4 night stay followed by 1-2 night stay in Hahndorf, followed by a 2-3 night stay in McLaren Vale.

Angaston is perfectly placed to explore the Barossa region and Eden valley. The pretty town has some great coffee shops and excellent wineries (both large and boutique) within a few minutes. The Saturday morning market at the local town hall had some fabulous produce and interesting crafts. Places highly recommended include Lamberts Wines, Vintners restaurant, The Barossa Chocolate Company and Nosh cafe.

Angaston is a lovely town in the Barossa, but not as busy as the big ones which makes it a great place to base yourself for your weekend away.
We eat at Saltram's Winery, the food was delicious, exceptional in fact, we will be planning a way of eating there again. We also had dinner at Wanera Wine Bar, the food was also very good.
The friendliness and welcome.
From the moment you arrive Julie the host makes you feel welcome and her attention to detail is incredible.
From the fruit and chocolates in the fridge to the complementary port and games in the cupboard you realIse Julie has made it special for you and puts a lot of thought into what you have while you stay in her accommodation.
The quality of workmanship is simply outstanding and the whole place is a credit to the conversion work that was done and the breakfast at Nosh Angaston was superb.
We will stay again!
Cute period cottage in the heart of Angaston, located on a quiet street but within a few minutes' walk to all amenities including bar, restaurant, grocery shop plus a few specialty shops eg Barossa cheese company.
Very well equipped, you don't need to take anything with you, it's like a home from home (shampoo, washing powder, condiments, you name it!)
Breakfast basket was excellent with enough food for a cooked breakfast, also a bottle of wine, port and juices.
Fabulous location at the high end of the gorgeous Main Street in Angaston. Wonderful walking down to cafes, pubs & great local produce stores in this little village. It is a great base to walk the Barossa with access to the trail to Nuriootpa & Tanunda. Apartment is comfortable & warm with outlook on to historic buildings. Sparkling wine & chocolate was a lovely hospitable gesture. We will definitely visit & stay again. Thank you to our host Nicky

Communication with the host was excellent. The house was spotless clean and the beds very comfortable. It was stocked with everything you need, just bring your toothbrush. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, biscuits and other thoughtful touches. The location is great. Walnut cottage is in a quiet street, walking distance from shops and restaurants and Angaston is smack in the middle of the Barossa Valley.
A beautiful room in this lovely old hotel. Recently refurbished so very clean. Bed and pillows very comfy. Coffee & tea making facilities and small fridge. No ensuite bathroom but not an issue. 4 brand new bathrooms off the central hallway serving only 5 rooms.Lovely to sit out on the balcony overlooking the Main Street of this pretty town. No noise from the pub or street below.
Friendly helpful staff.
Nicely furnished 2 bedroom apartment within walking distance to cafes and shops in Angaston. The king size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped for cooking with a coffee machine and coffee supplied too. Nice, quiet position with parking at the rear of the property. We stayed in the Chardonnay suite which is upstairs.
