Hotel stands out not with the location or facilties itself but with the staff! Absolutely polite and helpful staff at the reception!
We arrived late in Hanoi and therefore a late check-in (Hotel even called us to make sure everything is ok and checking if we will stay at their hotel as booked). We planned to check out very early. Breakfast starts at 6:30 that day but our driver was picking us up around 6:10 in the morning… the hotel staff (Dao) very quickly has offered to talk to the kitchen to prepare us a small take-away breakfast for the next morning.
After easy and fast check-in, we went upstairs to our room. It was a spacious room (surprisingly as for the typical hotel rooms in that area, they are quite small and without windows often), clean bathroom and comfortable bed.
All in all, a good option in Hanoi for a short stay!

Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy. Footpaths are non-existent and where they do you cannot usually walk on them because cars and mostly motorbikes are parked on them, or locals are sitting down eating, working or whatever. The city's tourist sights are really interesting, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and its museum. There are many other interesting sights, such as the Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, several Pagodas and others. All these sights are must-see and we are glad we did. They charge very low entry fees, or no fees at all (like the Pagodas which are free), and are full of interesting information. Do not trust the taxi drivers because most are out to scam you and we experienced that. It is best to get a Grab taxi if you have the app which can be very helpful. Grab taxis are much cheaper and more reliable. There are some good restaurants but you have to have a taste for the local cuisine. We had been told about the local "street food", but what we saw we did not trust and did not touch. If you have a restaurant recommendation perhaps you should go with that. ATMs are rare but they exist and charge extra fees for withdrawals! Generally people are friendly and can be very helpful. We did not feel threatened but were very mindful of the chaotic traffic! Look everywhere before taking a step! Traffic lights are there for show. No one takes them seriously nor obeys them, particularly the drivers. Pedestrians often gamble with their lives when crossing a street.

Hanoi is a vibrant, culturally rich city! There is so much to do and see. The people are helpful and friendly. Highlights were the Hanoi prison, train street, the old quarter, the lake, Japanese gardens, the Note cafe! Would recommend a day trip to Nim Binh from Hanoi!

I stayed 3 nights in Hanoi but it's not enough especially if you will go for a Ha Long Bay Day cruise. More reasons to come back.
We tried Bún Chả at the Bún Chả Đắc Kim. While it was delicious, they should reduce the quantity of the serving as there is so much wastage. Even the Europeans couldn't finish the servings.
We joined 2 tours - city & food on motorbikes and we loved the experience especially since the weather in Hanoi is milder than in HCMC.
Next time around it would be best to visit during the colder months and do a side trip to Sapa.

Hanoi offers a vibrant and unforgettable experience for...
Hanoi offers a vibrant and unforgettable experience for those seeking a blend of cultural immersion, culinary delights, and warm hospitality. Exploring the city's diverse array of bars is a must, each offering its own unique ambiance and selection of drinks to enjoy. From trendy rooftop bars overlooking the city skyline to cozy, hidden gems tucked away in narrow alleys, there's something for everyone. The culinary scene in Hanoi is equally impressive, with bustling street markets and elegant restaurants showcasing the rich flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. Whether indulging in a steaming bowl of pho or sampling fresh seafood delicacies, every meal is a culinary adventure. What truly sets Hanoi apart, however, is its people. Known for their warmth and friendliness, locals eagerly welcome visitors and are always ready to share their culture and traditions. Their genuine hospitality adds an extra layer of charm to an already enchanting city, making Hanoi a destination not to be missed.

Original plan was for 4 nights before Lan Ha Bay 3 day cruise, then 2 or 3 nights after cruise.
Stayed in Hanoi for 3 weeks over 4 hotels, with short trips to Sa Pa and Ninh Binh included, loved it and will return.
In the middle of the old quarter of Hanoi, the Hotel is like an oasis of quiet. It has a glamorous interior and beautiful rooms. When we arrived the staff welcomed us, they took their time for our requests and when we told them that it was our last night in Vietnam, we got an upgrade to make it memorable... Awesome of them :)
The restaurant is on the top floor with a great view around the city and the buffet was perfect, It was the best breakfast I had in Vietnam. If you can afford it, go here for a night or two!
Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel is very good hotel and very special in hanoi old Quarter. We love the hotel staff and their services is the best of among many hotels we have been to in the world.breakfast is very delicious and our room was very clean and new .we had very pleasant time for our stay here and will tell our friends to come here too.the airport pick up is very easy as organised by the hotel ms Sabi arranged everything for us from the pick up and all the tours and we enjoyed our trips very much.
The owner, Lum (sorry of if I haven’t spelt this right) couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. He upgraded us to a large room in a second hotel he’s just bought nearby. He made sure we had the best visit possible in Hanoi . I’ve never seen such a well equipped room - from dressing gowns to razors and food.
The room was spacious and clean, and the location was fabulous , in the old quarters, everything walkable yet slightly away from the very touristy bit and near the night market. Perfect.
The location at the heart or center of the Old Quarter, right next to the Cathedral of Hanoi and all the shops. The best of all is the staff and services that you won’t be able to find anywhere even at the high end chain 5 stars hotels. They always greet every time you come in or leaving the hotel to ask you if you need any thing, directions, assistance…and it is not just the front desk staff but all the staff at the breakfast area as well. That makes you feel like you are part of their family.
Excellent hotel in middle of Old Quarter. Young and energetic staff who are without exception the friendliest and welcoming I have ever had in a hotel. Genuinely interested and ready to help with anything you need. My room with balcony was lovely, and a surprisingly quiet haven from the noise of Hanoi surrounding it. Comfy bed, good shower, silent airco, safe deposit, complimentary coffee and tea, just how I like it. Breakfast delicious with Vietnamese and western options. Highly recommended!
The location is very good, on the edge of the Old Quarter. next to the French Quarter. and close to Hoan Kiem Lake.
The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The Skybar and Spa experiences were good and added to the enjoyment of my stay.
The breakfast area on the 10th floor provides a nice view, and the breakfast buffet had more than enough choices.
I'm sure I will return to the Shining Central Hotel on my next visit to Hanoi
This was a great hotel in the middle of the Old Quarter. Close to many restaurants, massage places and tourist sites. The staff were wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean. And the breakfast was amazing. We had the best homemade yogurt and fruit. They also have eggs to order, hot food, salad and Vietnamese dishes. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended if you’re in Hanoi. Alice takes care of your every need. Thank you to everyone at Serene Hotel!!
We used the hotel as our base in Hanoi to travel around north Vietnam. The hotel is in a great location in the old quarter with very clean rooms and a great breakfast but what made our stay so special was Ms Kim. Ms Kim is so friendly and she helped organise our trips for us to Nimh Binh and Halong Bay and bother we’re just perfect. We would highly recommend using this hotel for your visit to Hanoi and having Ms Kim help you plan your trip. She is the best!
Personnel with customer-service-oriented skills and always happy and patient to help you with any situation that you may face while traveling in Vietnam... They helped us to get reservations on tours as well as for restaurants... Quite efficient and practical staff to deal with...
The excellent location of the hotel really helped us to wander around the Old Quarter of Hanoi... Safety area and fun neighborhood full of small, but crowded businesses around.
The hotel is located right in the middle of old quarter, it’s within walking distance to a lot of landmarks and delicious food. The staffs are amazing, friendly, helpful and will do their best to make sure that your stay is awesome. The lobby is beautiful, room is spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious and included a lot of local Vietnamese dishes. I would definitely recommend staying here when you’re visiting Hanoi!
A lovely, welcoming hotel with a personal touch. Fantastic location in the heart of the old quarters, but quiet and calm inside. Lovely rooftop bar & de luxe rooms with doors onto balcony were spacious and light. They helped book all my other trips via WhatsApp before I arrived in Vietnam and stored my luggage for when I got back to Hanoi. Excellent service with genuine interest in you and your plans.
The most beautiful fact about this sweet and cozy hotel is definitely their lovely and so welcoming staff. The kindest people I have met during my whole stay in Vietnam. The rooms are nice and comfortable, the location is perfect to explore Hanoi‘s Old Quarter. I would definitely come here again.
Thank you, Yen & Jessica, for making my last days in Vietnam so great.
Best experience of three months Vietnam. The hosts are incredible friendly. The room was great and much more cozy and comfortable than the standard vietnam hotel room. The area is calm, everything you need is around the house and it's only a short walk to Hanoi Old Quarter.
Washing the laundry with the machine was no problem. Really nice lobby with kitchen and seats.
Great location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi close to the Hoan Kiem Lake, restaurants, shops, and a short walk to the French Quarter, opera house and the Water Puppet Show theater. Even though the hotel was on a busy street, the room was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and had all the amenities you could need.
New, cozy hotel in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. I was on the 7th floor with a very nice view, and seeing everything up high was easy. Breakfast on the 9th floor has a very chill outside . The sunlight is so beautiful. Yogurt is the dish that impressed me the most. Staff are very kind. Ms My does the best of all.
Great location right in the old quarter. Hotel was clean and had everything needed for our stay in Hanoi. The best thing about La Passion Hanoi was the staff, every member was so helpful and kind, all went out of their way to help during our stay. Also great value for money. Would 100% return.
The hotel is super cute and the position is excellent in the center of the old quarter.
Vy, the girl who work at the reception and who followed us in our stay, is super kind, helped us a lot with organization and gave us advice to visit Hanoi in the best way.
Brand new hotel in best location in Hanoi Old Quarter. It is located on a cozy little street very close to the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff is very attentive and very well trained. I had a very pleasant stay.
