muy bonito y muy agusto Justo para relajarte y tener un fin de
We went for bird watching and photography. We had an excellent local guide Antonio Robles. We also did a boat tour up the mangrove river with Don Chencho who was an excellent and knowledgeable bird spotter. Beware that the afternoon (3:00-7:00) boat tour returns after dark when it is quite cool.
Other than birding there is very little to see or do in San Blas. It looks like its better times are long past. Best restaurant is WalaWala, a nice Mexican place with good food and a great English speaking host.

We came for the festival of the town’s patron saint.
We came for the festival of the town’s patron saint. The residents welcomed us with open arms. What a party! The fireworks display at the finale is amazing! We are also taking our friends on the boat tour of the river - we’ve done it a few times and never tire of the flora & fauna.

As mentioned in the hotel review San Blas is not a typical seaside resort town. It is very laid-back. There are many restaurants offering a variety of foods but the opportunity to eat fresh fish is overwhelming. I found the restaurant El Pescadorito on the Plaza so good that I had dinner there twice. I found it easy to start conversations both in English and Spanish. A several of the local residents told me about the relatives living in the United States. San Blas was one stop along a driving trip that will culminate with a visit to friends in Colima. This was the first time for me to be along the Pacific coast. Driving in this area is tiring as there is much traffic and very narrow 2 lane roads with no shoulders.
At first when we got there it was hard to find the hotel once we finally found it I really thought it was going to be a low quality hotel because your not able to see the hotel from outside the street but once you walk in it surprises you because its a 5 star hotel very nice, clean and welcoming its a small hotel with only 6 rooms but the rooms are very big so much space it was perfect we really enjoy the stay and my daughter had a blast in the amazing pool that they have I would highly recommend this hotel 👍🏻
The hotel and staff we're great.
Make sure you stay in the new wing.
About 15 min. from San Blas
Beach club drinks and service was good but the sand fleas were terrible. Hard to be outside at sunset. Bring lots of bug spray and use it.
Breakfasts were good but main food service ends at 6pm in the beach club. Hotel food service after that not great.
Baos hotel is safe and comfortable.
The location is just good. The facility offers a fridge and a place to stay in a company at the patio. The staff is friendly and helpful giving some clues where to go for a better service, food and prices in the city. In chats with them they shared the stories of San Blas, including the famous Loca de Muele with some details I didn't know. They provide a truly family atmosphere.
Very helpful and friendly Staff who helped us organise a night tour in La Tovara (area of mangroves). Complimentary coffee available every morning. Close to main square. Nice restaurant is part of the hotel (closed on Tuesdays). Beautiful courtyard with relaxed seating areas full of exotic plants. Private car park - very secure.
Nice hotel. Rooms clean, basic, good. I miss some personality, could be more nice with some changes and decoration. The slice bath door its so uncomfortable, no privacy at the services at you own room. Happy but expensive for such a basic service. No profesional staff and manager, but looks they try to do the best.
I enjoyed the pool very much as well as the room itself. The bathroom was spacious and clean as was the rest of the room. The AC was very much appreciated. I also liked the balcony and location of the hotel as we were within walking distance of the town center and the beach.
The property was super, beautiful with a lot of history on the place, on front there is handcraft market that we enjoy, some minutes walk to san Blas pier, also to the twin church, and Juan Bananas bakery… so perfect location, to go to the San Blas fort was 5 min taxi, etc
Simple and clean with comfortable beds and the people running the place were very kind. We left a day early, but only because we found long term accommodation. Close to restaurants and stores. Safe and cheap option in San Blas that we would recommend anytime.
I loved everything about the guesthouse. It is not only beautiful but everything I like about Mexico. It is a peaceful oasis and the owners make you feel very welcomed. The restaurant serves great food as well. I look forward to returning very soon.
We liked having an apartment with a kitchen, rather than being in a hotel room. It allowed us to make some of our meals rather than eating out all of the time. The hosts were incredibly friendly, gracious and helpful as needed.
Its a very cute hotel with wonderful grounds.- Staff was awesome!! Beach is San Blas were great cuz they aren’t commercialized like other locations. We will return hopefully this winter.
We loved our stay at Isla Privada Quimera en San Blas. The staff were great and Diego was a fantastic host! The private pool we had was perfect and we were allowed to use the kayak/SUP.
Simply outstanding hotel at all levels. Best value for money I’ve ever had! Nothing can be faulted there. Thank you Francisco for marking our stay so nice!
