We liked everything.
Beautiful place with a good sence of style, comfort and arrangement that could be just taught to others. Good location. Nice and helpful owners.
A few good little restaurants by the beach. Maleme Taverna / beach bar has great food and the sun loungers are free if you eat there. Same with Mythos bar, also good food at the Wave. Friendly helpful staff in all restaurants. I would stay away from the bigger hotels for food if you want good local quality food.

Maleme is a lovely village on the coast.
Maleme is a lovely village on the coast. It has plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants. The food was excellent. It was just a bus ride to Chania, the nearest big place. It is easy to book visits to other places. It is not too commercialised.

Maleme is small town, but there is everything you might need. I cant rate night life because of small children, but for family vacation is great. In town are many restaurants, car rentals, pharmacy, medical center...You can make a lot of trips from there by car or bus or by little fun train. It is good point for trips to Chania, Botanical garden, Balos, Falasarna beach etc.

Restaurants on the beach are more expensive, on the main street is a Gyros Taverna, food is great, we ate there every 2nd day. Also on the main street you will find another great Taverna next to the Synka supermarket, along the road is the jewel of Malame, The Black Lantern Restaurant absolutely the best eatery in the area with a bar that would not be out of place in the UK. Run by a former Royal Navy Stoker who is a mine of information on the area.
Just want a coffee, look for the green sign, it's a locals place, overlooked by tourists, mores the pity, started evey day off there with 2 or 3 cappuccino,s.

Maleme is a quiet resort and is used more by adults than families. However, there is a large family resort hotel there too. There is not much in the way of night life (no clubs), Platanias, about 2 KM away has all the hustle and bustle and night life. Maleme is much more laid back, although it has plenty of bars and eating venues to choose from. Chania town is easily reached by bus. Ditto Kolimbari further along the coast. There is the little train service offering trips to various parts of Crete which are great fun to do.

Wonderful villas for our family of 16.
Wonderful villas for our family of 16. Space for all of us, pool was wonderful. BBQ and recreational facilities , table tennis and bikes.
Could not wish for better facilities for a family holiday all together but space for everyone.
Hosts were so helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Restaurants and beach within walking distance and local bus to Chania was perfect.
Absolutely everything! What a find - from arrival to departure it felt like home. The place itself is lovely and has everything you could possibly need and impeccably clean. The location was perfect too, lots of parking and a few restaurants on the beach but a good point to be at if exploring the west of the island. The host Nektaria was amazing - super accommodating and gave us loads of recommendations for travelling around and restaurants. Her dog Versace was very cute too.
Would recommend staying here to anyone thinking of going to Crete!
Staff at restaurants and bars are nice and good. Working hard.Food good.
Bar and food manager very responsive and polite.
Reception polite .. they have to keep the promises.
Food is delicious but needs more choices .I was expecting more fish .. grill or fried.
Hotel clean . Has to improve the furniture in the room is too low. Remove the hot hub. It will make the bathroom bigger and nice.
If you can improve the beach side, it will be very nice.
Overall, it's a perfect holiday.
Everthing---rooms are exceptional, beds are comfortable, buffet breakfast and buffet dinner were delicious with lots of variety. Private pool was terrific, on site parking was convenient, two main pools as well as the beach set up gave us lots to choose from, mini bar prices were very reasonable, and furnished towels for both bathing and the beach were available. Great hotel, would love to live here forever!
Sophia, the host was super friendly and helpful with tips surrounding our trip. The apartment and pool area was very clean and met all COVID measurements. The beach is just a few meters away and it's not too crowded. We enjoyed our dinners at the nearby "Wave" restaurant, where they had the tastiest food and super friendly staff. It was our first time in Crete and we loved it. Hopefully gonna be back soon.
If you are looking for a quiet holiday waking up to the sound of waves crashing, then this place is perfect. Maleme is one of the more quieter locations on the Chania-Kissamos axis. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. There are a few excellent tavernas and restaurant choices nearby.
The beach is great for chilling, although not ideal for swimming.
The staff was very, very friendly and helpful to all our requests. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and could directly check in and also have lunch straight away. The service was also exceptional and the food was a variety of fresh traditional and international cuisine.
We had an amazing time at the hotel, hope to come back soon. :)
Almost everything.
- location was great, close to the beach and about 20-25 mins by car to Chania
- there is parking with camera surveillance.
- the house was clean, comfortable with a nice terrace and the owners were really acomodating. - the shower was perfect with excellent water pressure.
Lovely service, comfortable apartment at walking distance from the beach which is the least crowded around Chania in summer. From the house to the beach bed and restaurant it takes 1 min walk. The staff at the restaurant are also very kind and serve great food and drinks. We will come back!
The staff was friendly, the room was clean and good sized, the pool was inviting. I really love that the hotel is eco-friendly. We were only there for the night, and we came in late, but it would have been lovely to spend more time there. The beach was calm (if rocky)--perfect for children.
Basic but super clean and great facilities, friendly staff. Breakfast was good and lots of choices. Wifi was consistent. Location- Maleme is pebbly but nonetheless a lovely beach with gentle waves. Good location for travelling to NW Crete sites like Falassarna, Kissamos and Balos Beach.
Ledra Maleme Hotel was such a great spotless hotel! We stayed for one night. We had friendly service, comfy double bed, a private balcony over looking the pool, large stand-up shower and excellent breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel to future guests
The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible. A very clean and well maintained property, with excellent staff. The food was great and all common areas were clean and comfortable. Great place, absolutely recommended. Cretan hospitality at it's best!
The property is in a great location, on the edge of town, and in a lovely garden, so it feels very secluded, but within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. Stfanos was a great host. Always on hand to help if needed but not at all intrusive.
We spent wonderful two weeks here. Booking ground floor apartament we got more expensive one in the same price! Very good breakfasts with good quality products, nice and friendly stuff. We will defintelety come back here as soon as we are on Crete again.
Summer Lodge is really nice hotel with traditional Greek ornaments. Very clean, very tidy. They have really comfortable beds. Mr Vasilios, Mrs Rebeka and Mrs Ahtena, our hosts, helped us a lot to find car and with instructions what to visit in Crete.
Kostas and Maria are very friendly and willing to help you to have a good time at their property. Location is good. Near to the best beaches in Crete. Room is spacious and very clean. Quiet zone at night. Aircon works pretty well.
The hosts were incredible, lovely people. We had raki and some sweet when we arrived, as a welcome gesture.
The apartment is cosy, with everything you need.
Maria and Costas gave us great hints about Maleme and Chania.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite clean and spacious. Finally, the location was very convenient for reaching the best beaches of the area and the city center of Chania quite fast.
The hotel has a lot of amenities an is super clean. We had the breakfast option and the breakfast was awesome. Plenty of food and the staff is amazing. Room was clean. Pool, gym and kids play area.
