A charming 19th-century bed and breakfast, Heidi’s Grasmere Lodge offers luxury accommodations in the heart of the Lake District. It has free on-site parking. Rooms at Heidi’s are individually decorated, warm and comfortable. They have beautiful views of the surrounding scenery. There are LCD TVs in each bedroom and free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the building. Grasmere was the home of the poet William Wordsworth. Heidi’s Lodge is less than a mile from Dove Cottage, one of his village houses. The picturesque Lake of Grasmere is a 2-minute drive from the hotel.

Property info

The 5 rooms at Heidi’s Lodge are individually decorated and comfortable. Many of our rooms have beautiful views of the surrounding scenery and 2 of our rooms have private balconies to relax on. There are TVs in each bedroom, tea and coffee making facilities, all rooms are ensuite, most with separate bath and shower, and free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the building. All rooms booked will have breakfast in the morning included in our cafe downstairs, served from 8am - 9am. Grasmere was the home of the poet William Wordsworth and Heidi’s Lodge is less than a mile from Dove Cottage, one of his village houses. In Grasmere you can also discover the lake, a variety of independent shops and Heidi’s provides the perfect starting point to tackle many of the fells around Grasmere. The Lodge also provides a great stop off on the Coast to Coast walk from St Bees, Cumbria to Robin Hood Bay in North Yorkshire.

St Oswalds Church – the 1st church in Grasmere built in 642 AD, here you will also find William Wordsworth buried. Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum – Dove Cottage is best known as the home of the poet William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808 Sarah Nelson’s Gingerbread Shop – Victorian cook Sarah Nelson invented Grasmere Gingerbread in 1854 in Grasmere. A unique, spicy-sweet cross between a biscuit and cake.
