We stayed Mid February, just after the School Holidays ended, so the crowds would have been reduced. Still, there was a great "vibe" to the town, beaches, and surrounds. Merimbula was a great starting point to travel up & down the coast visiting other locales, such as Eden, Tathra, and the numerous beaches/parks/lakes along the Sapphire Coast.

Merimbula was suprisingly busy for a country town and traffic was at a standstill in the main downtown area at times. I don't know if this was normal for this time of the year (February). We did a number of day trips to surrounding areas such as Eden, Boydtown, Candelo and Tathra. We had hoped to visit Kameruka but it was closed to the public. Local seafood was good and the oysters, in particular, were delicious.

The room was very clean and comfy.
The room was very clean and comfy. Parking was smooth and easy, right in front of the room. I especially enjoyed the large bathroom and the back veranda. The aircon was also good. Wifi didn't work so well.
Merimbula is a great place for staying and relaxing. The beach boardwalk is beautiful. Nice shopping, restaurants, and cafes. We had a lovely breakfast at MorMors Cafe. The "Top Fun" amusement centre was also a great experience.

Victoria, it was not as busy as what we thought. I enjoyed doing a lot of walks especially the boardwalk trail. Easy to find your way around town.
The Oysters are really fresh. try their oyster factories. don't fall for the $8 per dozen advert though. apparently they are real small oysters. ((probably shouldn't even be harvested). the $20/dozen are a good size.
Try the Wheelers ( Pambula) restaurant. decent food.
Great location as always, 35 years visiting merimbula. Yard great, facilities great. Lounge tv couldnt use netflix and took a while for the bluray player to even connect but ended up fine. Not sure if ugot firmware restricting some features but all in all great place 7foot fences spot on for privacy being a backfront yard. Love the pictures, wall hangings etc. Garage was great for our paddle boards. The 5 of us and 2 dogs had a great time staying there, thanks. Internet was reallly good as well. Such a great place for people with pets.
Fantastic location. The beach was our backyard! It meant that we could just walk everywhere, no car and just relax. The heated pool was fantastic too when we wanted to mix it up.
The unit itself had everything we needed. Fully equipped. Very comfortable and quiet.
We were greeted from the moment we arrived and the staff checked in on us to let us know they were around if we needed them. Loved that.
Definitely coming back. This is our new place to stay in Merimbula.
This property is very close to Merimbula so if you drive like us it's no issue. Looked a bit dark when we first arrived however morning view was breathtaking. It a shame it was very wet as we had some very rainy days but all in all it was a paradise. I can just imagine enjoying a lot more outdoor if weather permitted. On the top flow this property have snooker table so we had a lot of fun with that as well as good BBQ. Very big house with huge gardens around it.
Perched on the crest of the hill the motel offers exceptional views over Merimbula to the ocean. Remembering it’s an old style 60’s Motel, the reno is giving it a new lease of life. Linen... five star, toiletries exceptional boutique, big screen Samsung TV, great books and decor. Hard to fault. Loved the complementary croissants baked locally for bfast. Great staff and owner Casper always available for a chat about his dreams.
The property is very modern and is located in the best part of Merimbula, close enough to walk to the town and to the beach. It has big windows and you feel so connected with the outdoors. Lots of bathrooms for everyone. The bedroom on the ground level is almost self contained, my parents in law were able to go down stairs and relax, away from us.
Sails Luxury Apartments are in a perfect location for walks to the beach, main street and the boardwalk. We stayed in a two-bedroom coroner apartment with a wonderful view over the Lake and Merimbula Bridge. The apartment was large, well equipped and clean. Undercover Parking was at the back of the complex.
Very friendly staff happy to help.
Loved everything about the Crown Apartments and Merimbula. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything you need. Yvonne and Craig were very welcoming and lovely hosts. Felt very relaxed and will definitely book here again. Merimbula is definitely a place everyone should visit and one of our favourite destinations 😊
You can't beat the location of these cabins , overlooking Short Point, Merimbula. Great views across the beach and back lake. Fabulous for a morning or afternoon walk. The cabin had a small kitchen and two bedrooms with one bathroom. All very clean but the decor, a bit dated. There was parking onsite too.
Great location with tranquil garden and surrounding. The lake view is so beautiful.
The cottage is clean and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable, 2 big bathrooms have high ceilings and good showers. The staff is very friendly, a gardener has showed us how to drive or walk to Merimbula Boardwalk.
Location is excellent. Cant be beathen
WIFI is terrible in bedrooms in fact poor everywhere except lounge.
apartment is nice but you have to clean it before you leave as opposed to a hotel room or motel room where they have cleaners
A basic but comfortable, old fashioned motel. Loved the flow through breeze, peace and quiet, view, waking up to the distant sound of Cockatoos. It felt so welcoming after newer corporate hotels I’d recently been staying in.
I have been staying at Tasman Holiday Park for our trips to Merimbula over the last 20yrs. It’s close to town for a walk or drive. Pleasant staff and a warm swimming pool. It’s all excellent.
Good location in the lovely Fishpen area with a great beach for swimming & surfing, inlet for SUP & fishing, park , fish n chips & 2 coffee shops. Unit was very clean.
It was amazing for the kids the cabins was close together so they could play with their friends that were staying there to the cabins were really practical for us.
Nice view and v close to beach and a bit of bush too. upgraded to penthouse which was fabulous. next to airport but not noisy as only tiny amount of flights.
