Boasting a terrace, Art Hotel Tartini is set in the heart of Piran. The hotel was completely renovated in 2018 with finishing touches provided by one of the most famous Slovenian artists.

Location was fantastic! It was quite hot, so the air conditioning was nice. There was a washing machine and line to dry clothes, which was a nice surprise

The friendliness of the hosts, Mara in particular. Also the WONDERFUL meal in the restaurant. We also appreciated the apartment's washing machine after almost a month of traveling and hand washing clothes.

Wonderful small town on the sea coast, with great restaurants, beautiful views, nice shops, lots of history. I ate along the sea walk several times, got a local private tour, took a bus to the nearest town Portoroz. Would highly recommend seeing Piran!

Right up there with the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terra in the gorgeous seaside village sweepstakes. Breathtaking views everywhere you look. Pretty main square with beautiful 18th and 19th century architecture. Crystal clear water for swimming, although there are no sand beaches, but piers and jetties. Lots of nice restaurants with sea / sunset views

Piran is a very compact town so it is easy to walk but take care with the uneven cobblestones. There is a wide range of eating places. The cement area in front of the sea was a surprise: there is no sand. The free shuttle was handy for getting luggage from the very expensive parking garage (the only option for visitors). Our hostess, Bruna, was a memorable part of the visit.

Piran is an idyllic peninsula of Slovenia, it's a very small village and therefore; I wish I'd stayed less than the 3 nights I did. The nearby towns are bigger and more touristy and have little to offer in terms of culture.
I'd highly recommend using Piran for its ferries, the walking tour that includes food tasting and the salt spa/pans that are able to be reached by bus. But, also relaxing in the sun by the sea and enjoying the delicious restaurants.

We really enjoyed Piran because we experienced it solely on foot. We left our car at our apartment on the hilltop. You can enter Piran by car through a policed barrier or park in the public car parks on the hilltop or cliffside but they looked pricey and very busy - cars queueing.
Piran has atmosphere, lots of charm and character from the fine square with its clock tower boasting views over to Italy (modelled on the tower in San Marco Venezia) The maze of tiny streets with peeling paint in ice cream colours, laundry flying from balconies, geraniums pouring from window boxes, a fine harbour, places to swim and some fabulous restaurants made this town a delight to explore. It feels very southern mediterranean with its crystal clear blue green waters, gelato cafes selling pistachio and peach ice cream. Everyone was friendly when I tried to order in Slovenian. Locals wish you Good Day
We felt Slovenia was a top destination with so many contrasts from bear-watching to climbing in the Julian Alps, kayaking over Lake Cerknica and white-water rafting on the Soca River - what a country!

Piran is beautiful and definitely worth a visit however there are a lot of hills so be prepared. I also would recommend coming by car, as we had planned to take the bus. It arrived full and then we had to spend €150 on a taxi as there wasn't another bus that day. Even if you have a ticket you are not guaranteed a seat which is a terrible system.
Great location - near to quality restaurants & water, very clean, a very responsive and pleasant host, very comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen. Piran is a no car city so if you are travelling with a car, one needs a little patience to drive into the port area, drop bags off, collect keys and parking ticket for the car garage reduced rate, and then take the car back up to the parking lot, and then use the free bus to come back to centre of Piran. One cannot avoid this wherever they stay in Piran.
Very quiet hotel in an old building in the old town. It is easy to get anywhere from the hotel (but, to be honest, so is just about any hotel in Piran, the town is very small!) The hotel is not directly on the waterfront, but it is just one block away (and that 'block' is about 20 meters long) so easy for a stroll. Staff were very helpful and enthusiastic about giving information about the town, what to do, and where to eat. Fabulous breakfast included in the price.
The property is located in an ideal location. We were given good directions for dropping our luggage off in Old Town and then to the parking lot. We arrived early and were able to drop our luggage so we could begin exploring Old Town. We got great suggestions for happy hour, dinner and sites. The next morning, breakfast in the garden was the perfect way to start our day. Our host was kind enough to print off tickets we needed for the day.
Honestly, I don't recommend visiting Piran. Izola is much more tourist-friendly. We paid 20 euro for parking outside the city for one night only. It was extremely overcrowded and the prices are crazy. However, if you are visiting Piran this is a very good accommodation in the very heart of the city. There is a nice roof terrace and kitchen with all the facilities. The hosts are very responsive.
Beautiful small hotel, fabulous location, steps from Tartini Square. Room was spotless and very well appointed. Staff were super helpful and kind, even providing us a couple of free tickets to a concert that night. Breakfast was provided by a restaurant on the square, with outside seating and table service. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.
Great small boutique hotel in the center of old Piran. A stone throw to central Tartinijev Trg, clse to the pier restaurants, the light house and Trg 1 Maja where mamy good restaurants are available. very friendly and helpful staff. very nice rooms. very good breakfast. amazing choice of wines from all around Slovenia in good proces.
We had never experienced a stay like it. Beautiful hotel. A lot of effort had been put it in to make it high quality. The staff were lovely and very helpful when it came to parking and suggestions for eating out. The fact the hotel is right in the centre, we heard very little noise from outside which was great.
The appartement is exploited by a lovely family. They make you feel like home and help out wherever they can. Exemplary was the parking arrangement they could make which is very difficult in Piran. They also helped out with carrying the luggage and offerted us a drink on their terras at the arrival.
Beautiful place in beautiful country with extra hospitable hosts! We love Slovenia a lot and every time our feelings become more and higher! :) Amazing view, clear air, comfortable apartment, wide area in the garden, parking place and 10 minutes by steps to the centre of Piran. Highly recommend!
Clean, great location, free parking in garage nearby included. Small apartments but cute and had everything you need. The host event gave small bottle of champagne for free, free bottled water, coffee, tea and milk. Also host gave really good suggestions for good restaurants in Piran.
The apartment is really big, and was perfect for our needs! The host was very kind and helpful. It has a good location, next to the beach, and near a lot of restaurants. You can park outside the city, but there is a bus line which goes almost to the apartment from the parking lot.
Wonderful hotel, the best of all the hotels we stayed at in Slovenia. We especially loved the possibility to eat breakfast on the covered patio with the sea view. Also the breakfast itself was so nice. And lastly, very welcoming staff, always ready to help.
Excellent base for exploring Piran. Had the sea front at either side of the property. The hosts picked us up from the parking and dropped us back at a slightly later time than check out, meaning we had less time to kill on the road.
Probably the best location in all of Piran right next to Tartini square. The room has a great view of the city and marina. The staff was super sweet and very helpful. Very clean and comfortable.
Location was great and also there was a patio in front of the room, so you could chill there during the late hours. It also had a parking lot for the car, and that was a must-have for us.
Great little apartment. Very comfy bed. Had everything we needed and parking was brilliant. Super friendly host.
Main part of Piran was a lovely 10-15 min walk (uphill on the way back).
Great location, right next to the sea, city center square and restaurants. Outstanding staff and service with free shuttle from/to parking garage. Breakfast is excellent.
the location is great you can easily walk to the city centre. parking free available. Sonja was very nice and helpful. The apartment was spacious and clean.
