The area around the hotel was rundown and people were just driving through the parking lot although they were not staying at the hotel. Many vagrants walking through the parking lot checking cars and no security on site.

This area is fine for airport access and a quick bite at Bob Evans but the area is full of panhandlers and very rough looking people who made us very nervous. We were asked for money on several occasions , by the same man. Bob Evans staff chased the man away but he returned an hour later. We were afraid to go out after dark so we stayed in the room. Thats another story. The room was quiet but very dirty. We stayed at the Windham and I wish I had taken photos of the dirt crusted in the corners of the bathroom and the hair in the shower.

Went out of my way to visit Flint Art Institute.
Went out of my way to visit Flint Art Institute. Turned out to be 2nd largest Art museum in Michigan. More importantly best curated art museum I’ve been in. Incredible glass and pottery collection. Extensive African, Asian, and Amerindian collections. Really happy I went out of my way to visit.

The places that we visited were close.
The places that we visited were close. We shopped a bit and drove around and enjoyed downtown and found it quite pleasant. Getting around is easy, however avoid construction sites on highway follow your GPS or Wazy!

We were there to visit family and hotel was the right distance to drive to them. Flint in dangerous. Not a vacation spot. Some of the breakfast lunch places were really good. We went antiquing in the outer nicer areas.
Did not stay left and went somewhere else they couldn't even make keys to let you in the room. They were having housekeeping let u in every time didn't stay here more than 5 minutes. They also charge u to park at their hotel. Will be getting a refund or making fraud charges to get my money back. Booking.com is useless They don't take your phone calls they will be refunding my money or having fraud charges placed through my cc company and bbb.
There was absolutely nothing to like about this place. It was the worst cheap hotel experience I've ever had. That place should be condemned and I've stayed in some cheap hotels before. Never seen anything this bad!!! If it wouldn't have been for my dog getting an expensive procedure done at a vet there I would have moved to a different place but I was on a tight budget!!! Smh I trusted these pictures on this app and that was wrong!
the room so so smelly, and the front employee was rude with us when we checked in. I told him that we send a request to check earlier into our room cause we came from Canada for a wadding in Flint, but he refused to let us check in cause as he said he didnt receive our request for earlier checkup.
he was rude and i had to go for a friend's house to get ready for the wedding
The staff was extremely helpful, we had never been to flint, or dealt with parking in a city. They helped with everything we needed. The hotel itself was beautiful and the restaurant on site is amazing. Also, the snacks for sale in the lobby were a godsend when we got hungry in the middle of the night. Everything was perfect, would recommend to anyone visiting Flint.
On the way to hotel a power line was down because someone ran into the power pole. I couldn't use my CPAP machine and kids were running around and yelling, adults were talking loud and shouting. It went on until nearly 11 p.m. . I was so keyed up I didn't drop off untill around 5:30 a.m.. that's how I knew the lights came on at 4:22 a.m..
My husband's breakfast was included with his hotel stay, inwhich I paid for with the one night stay. However the front desk did not explanied to my husband the (guest) to return in the morning to the front desk to recieve is breakfast voucher. He went to dining area for breakfast and was told he needed to pay. The breakfast was good.
Best breakfast from my roadtrip in simple Inns. Even some fruit and more Joghurt choices. Fun variety of all kinds of people staying there - families, couples, bikers, pet-owners, wedding visitors, Renaissance festival travelers. Felt safe. Personal was very friendly. Close to Flint theater + planetarium area, nice.
We were in town for a conference called MOGA, which was held at the University of Michigan. Our room was close to all the activities and we met other people there too. The mattress was very comfortable and the Internet worked great. Breakfast was very good too. The hostess at breakfast was exceptionally nice.
The staff was exceptional they understood that my booking at this hotel might have been a little bit out of my comfort zone. Meaning it was one of those places that you see in the ghetto it's. Was Rundown with drug dealers in the parking lot. Just not a place that I would stay or take my family.
