I am little B&B style Lodge, not a hotel. I'm close enough to town to be convenient for restaurants and shops, but far enough out and set it such a location that you feel in remote countryside. The house inside is modern and stylish yet comfortable and cozy. All public areas are yours to use and a beautiful deck and garden allow for peaceful animal and bird watching. The old horse and Scottish Highland Cattle provide hours of endless entertainment! Breakfast will fill you up for a day of activity - a full breakfast with a home-made hot option each day. Fruit and vegetables and honey from the garden feature. We don't live in the actual house (in the apartment attached) so you're not going to be interrupting or interrupted in private spaces.

I moved to Golden in 2004 because of the wonderful community and variety of activities on offer. I grew up on farm in Scotland and here I am, full circle back on a small hobby farm, just in a different country. I love skiing, biking, gardening, interior decorating and mostly interacting with and hearing the stories of the guests from around the world.

Golden and the surrounding area is spectacularly located for visiting the surrounding National Parks but ever increasingly has become an alternative destination to the, in my opinion, over-busy and over-commercialised areas of Banff and Lake Louise. Some of the roads and approaches may not look classically pretty but the experiences you have will more than make up for it!
