Parikia is a good place to begin your travels of Paros. it is a convenient location to base yourself in as there is a bus terminal that allows you to take a short ride to Naoussa and surrounding areas. Overall, we preffered the small village of Aliki for a longer stay, as it was quiter and had a more relaxing vibe. The beaches in Parikia were not overly special, and I would not advise staying here if you desire luxury scenery. If you wish to visit the nicer beaches, definitely hire an ATV. Parikia used to be the black sheep of the family concerning Paros villages. Eveyone told me that Naoussa is the best place to be. I beg to differ. Paros has come under a big progress restaurant wise and is one of the few greek islands where you can have so many options in dining, especially italian. The only thing missing from Parikia is a bar or club where people can dance all night. It's the puzzle piece that will complete the upgrade.

You wont find a decent restaurant even tho there are numerous ones to choose from .......... I have been to numerous locations in Greece and so i can speak from experience. The location was perfect for us . . . removed from the noise and busyness of Parikia, but close enough to walk to for dinner. A bright, clean and cozy room with a great location and of course air conditioning in a hot region like Paros. But what made our stay so special for us was our hosts. They were extremely welcoming and helpful. They made everything easier for our stay and on top of that, they also turned our two day visit in Paros to a better experience with their recommendations. For those who are lucky enough to stay there, I recommend you to pay attention to their restaurant recommendations :)
