Pleasant resort in Medoc.
Pleasant resort in Medoc. Good cycling territory and close to beaches, etc. We were there for a WW2 commemoration ceremony at Naujac sur Mer and Hourtin hotel was well situated location for us to attend the following day of our arrival.

There was frost at night but the gite was pleasantly warm and though there was not a radiator in every room it was well insulated and very well appointed. Great value for money and within walking distance of the centre of Hourtin, a large supermarket plus usual services.

Quite new and very clean. Electrical heating throughout which appears to be quite common in that area. Kitchenette rather cramped but fully equipped. Tiled floor rather cold during November.

Lovely garden and shaded dinning area with barbecue. Great welcome from the owners. Close to amenities, can walk or cycle to lake easily. Enjoyed market in Hourtin and local restaurant.

There was a lovely swimming pool on site and a pretty campsite bar. It was located within walking distance of Hourtin village.
