Wow - this place blew us away. What a gem! The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. My husband was dealing with some GI issues and a bit of a cold. They were so kind in preparing special drinks and food for us. The breakfast was incredible and was the serving staff. Loved the friendly cats lounging around. Beautiful pool area and the rooms are gorgeous! Vert tastefully decorating with the perfect blend of modern convenience, Moroccan culture and a Zen relax vibe. The bathrooms had a high funk value. Do not hesitate to eat dinner here! Options in town are more limited and the food is incredible.
Riad Benyara is offering accommodations in Taroudant. Providing a restaurant, the property also features a terrace, as well as an indoor pool.

To be fair, the price was very decent and the riad itself has a lot of Charme. Classic courtyard and a nice rooftop where the pool sits (surprisingly on the second level, which I don't really get how they did that in an older building like this).
Hotel Tiout has a terrace and a restaurant in Taroudant. With a shared lounge, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.
Hotel Riad Taroudant is located in the Derb Jdid quarter, under the sun of Taroudant, capital city of the province by the same name, the largest province in Morocco.

Great location though a little scary driving through the Medina but luckily someone from the hotel helped us park exactly outside. Beautiful spot on the roof terrace for breakfast.
A recently renovated riad, Riad Tafilag offers accommodations in the center of the medine, inside the remparts.

Amazing hotel!
Felt like a princess
It's so pretty, staff is very nice, hotel is very big and beautiful to explore
Also they have many box games so it's super nice!
Taroudant is a small city full of life.
There is central place were everyone gather, including the few tourists, to eat and be together.
We really enjoyed the sook of course, were we could find nice marocain kraft and sweets for a reasonable price (vs expensive Marrakech:)
Next time I would stay inside the kasbah to be closer to the central square.

What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you expected. We’ve been on the road three weeks so it, to us, was a small and relaxed souk. Similar to Rabat in many ways you won’t get too much hassle.

I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed.
I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed. However, I have stayed outside of Taroudant in a wonderful old kasbah while traveling through Morocco. That stay has always been a highlight.

Taroundant is a wonderful city.
Taroundant is a wonderful city. It is a beautiful walled city & you can stay inside or outside. Different markets; Grand Souk & Berber souk inhabit the centre & are a maze of colour & excitement. There are western style & Moroccan restaurants & people are very friendly. Outside the city there are wonderful restaurants; eg Les Jardins, Dar Zituone, & places to visit; Agadir (1.5 hours), Chateau Claudio Bravo, botanic gardens etc.
It is a clean small city with a good vibe.

A wonderful experience !
A wonderful experience ! The ‘ real ‘ Morocco IMO , unspoiled by tourism . We were looking forward to the Sunday Market , but it was very disappointing. Lots of vegetables ( available everyday in the Medina) and a sheep and goat section, but mostly Chinese goods and farm implements .
We took a horse drawn carriage in the Medina a couple of times …it was cheap and pleasant .
The locals were quite friendly and a visit to the Berber and Arab handicraft markets were interesting .
All in all a great visit for a couple of days . Don’t miss the Palm oasis and Ancient Kasbah about a half hours drive from the Town center.

Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Very little hassle so easy to wander round and enjoy the sights.
Ideal for winter spring and autumn but would be blistering hot in summer.
Perfect distance for a couple of days out from Agadir.
Truly lovely, special grounds with beautiful and lush plant life, cute cats, and a gorgeous pool in middle. Architecturally very stunning and unique. Restaurant was yummy and room was very comfortable. Booking excursions and spa treatments is very easy thanks to all the property information they provided digitally upon check in. We did a half day tour of the souks and it couldn’t have been an easier or more delightfully personal way to explore the Taroudant medina and learn about this part of Morocco and its history.
What a place!!! All was absolutely perfect, ideal location (quiet but at a walking distance of Taroudant centre) , beautiful small dar in a fantastic garden, amazing pool, comfortable and spacious room (spotless). The breakfast and lunch were excellent and the staff was the most welcoming. One of us tried the henna tattoo and the lady was a great artist (we received compliment during all our stay). Thank you very much and keep up the high standards
The location was good near the central square, not difficult at all to find.
The riad is a wonderful property, full of charm & character. It is nothing short of a carefully designed set for a romantic movie.
The rooms we had were good in size, had good bathroom layout with separate toilet room & shower booth, naturally ventilated.
It had a pool, a wonderfully exotic garden and an empty land plot behind the property as parking. But...
This riad was the most beautiful experience in our 10days Morocco trip. Everything was just perfect and so beautiful. We couldn’t stop taking pictures because they really thought about every little detail. The food was amazing too.
Said, the host, was incredible friendly and made us feel more than welcome. It was a very pleasant experience and We would definitely come back to this place.
The totally unexpected surprise at the end of a dark alleyway. Riad Tafilag was an oasis of peace, comfort and tranquillity amid the bustle of Taroudant. This Riad was an absolute delight. The communal areas, the bedroom, the plunge pool were all perfect. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The manager and the receptionists were friendly and super efficient and helpful.
An incredible place, so many near Taroudant it’s difficult to decide but we weren’t disappointed! The room is quiet and tucked away in your own area of the garden with a terrace, comfy beds and en-suite. The pool is divine and the team there were just fantastic- welcoming and helpful, providing the most fantastic food. We regretted not getting a massage!
exceptional in all aspects : the resort architecture, the huge rooms, comfort, the huge pool, very friendly staff.
dinner and breakfast were great , and the location outside Taroudant above a dry riverbed and near real villages is great. it was the most comfortable and impressive place to stay . highly recommended !
The Palais is a magnificent and special property unlike staying anyplace else. Luxury and comfort abound. Staff members Mustapha and Marino are shining gems. Their tour of the property for us and then upon our return trip for our daughters let us share in their reverence for Claudio and his legacy.
We stopped in Taroudant on our way to Merzouga. It was a great, spacious apartment, we comfortably fit the 5 of us. Omar is a great host who greeted us late at night, and helped us with packing the car the next morning. Highly recommend it!!
Super friendly staff.
Breakfast was good. 10min walking to the first gate of the city center and 20min walking to the main square of the city.
Free parking near the hotel, I could check the car from the room.
Sink also in the room.
The hosts were really lovely. The food was the best we've had in Morocco yet. Absolutely delicious. The bed was comfy and they offered us a guided tour of the city (we did not take them up on this) but very kind.
Quite hard to find, but an oasis once inside. Beautiful garden - woken by birds singing. Agnes cooked us an absolutely delicious evening meal - the best meal we have had in Morocco. Very welcoming place to stay.
Staff was excellent. Truly cared about the quests. Room was very spacious and unique as was bathroom. Great balcony. Nice layout with many patios and a pool. Location in the heart of the markets.
New modern hotel done in a traditional style. Very hot and powerful shower. First class fluffy towels and a hard but comfortable bed. An excellent tented room on the roof terrace. Good location.
Great location though a little scary driving through the Medina but luckily someone from the hotel helped us park exactly outside. Beautiful spot on the roof terrace for breakfast.
