The sea view, the breakfast with local, fresh ingredients, the hotel condition and the absolutely wonderful staff. They could not have been nicer people and so caring of any need that we had. Alsea Seafront Apartments in Agia Pelagia Kythera, hotel in Agia Pelagia

Alsea Seafront Apartments in Agia Pelagia Kythera has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Agia Pelagia Kythira, 984 feet from Agia Pelagia Beach.

Brand new, modern apartment. Very tastefully decorated. Super comfortable beds. It looks exactly like the photos the sweet, wonderful owner, Konstadina, has posted on the website. She had some traditional local goodies waiting for us and gave us our privacy, but was also very attentive to making sure we were comfortable and not lacking anything. Konstandina was also a great resource for suggesting things to do, beaches, monasteries, tavernas….We spent 4 nights on Kythera, with a rented car, which was enough time for us to explore the entire island. Highly recommend Alsea Apartments!

The perfect beach side holiday for those wanting to avoid hordes of tourists. Lots of options for eating out and all within easy walking distance. Plenty of nice beaches and a friendly, relaxing vibe everywhere we went. So many other attractions on the island that it's worth hiring a car - easy drive from Pelagia to Potamos, Kapsali and other beautiful locations on the island.

We fell in love with the island and could have stayed much longer. So much natural beauty, wonderful beaches, charming villages, great tavernas. We did a lot of swimming in the sea, so many beaches to choose from (we liked Loukidimis Paleopolis and Fourni especially). Swimming in the grotto at Avelamos was another highlight. Also enjoyed just driving through the countryside and stoping in town squares along the way to eat and explore shops. Mylopotomas was our favorite village, eat at the taverna in the center of town. Enchanting. The view from the castle in Chora is spectacular. We appreciated that the island was not over run by tourists. Our accommodations at Castri Village were so comfortable and the hosts were very kind and helpful. It was so easy to walk down to the village and enjoy. We ate every night on the beach in Agia Pelagia. Amazing ambiance, food and hospitality.

I've been going to Agia Pelagia since a little girl and have watched its transformation from a simple fishing village with nothing to do after 6:00p.m. to an active community with many restaurants, music, friendly people, deliciously real Greek food and dance. A celebration every summer evening. Great organized beach (Umbrellas, lounges & service).

Found that most - but not all - beach bars rented their sunbeds with parasoll for EUR 10, regardless of wether you were a customer to the bar, alone, came late in the afternoon, it was windy with no swimming possibilities, no other customers etc. And that goes for all of Kythera (with one exception). I don't mind paying for shade, a chair and WC, but EUR 10 for 2 hours when I have just eaten a salad in their bar! The beaches are free, and many wonderful, so I just hope for the bar keepers sake that they figure out how to get me and others as their customers. Basically Agia Pelagia is a good base camp, but you need a car to explore Kythera and visit all the wonderful beaches around the island.

We loved it all! The owner and staff at Anesis Hotel were friendly, helpful, and kind. The hotel was comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious, the nearby beach was delightful, the parking was easy, and the village was charming. We hope we can go back someday - the hotel and area were just what we needed for peaceful, lovely scenery and relaxation.

For Kythira this is a beach town that actually has somewhat of a village fealing to it. It is still very small and only offers a few restaurants and beach bars. But the bars offer quality coffee, cocktails and food. The beach is very nice and quite big. Mixed peddles and sand. Great swim. There were two places for parasols at the beach. We went only to one ones and had to pay a ridiculous amount of 10 Euros. Way too much and for me enough reason to not return.

The hotel is conveniently located in Agia Pelagia - just two minutes walk from the beach and several good tavernas and snack bars and the only supermarket in town. The staff were lovely, especially Ioanna - she was lovely to talk to and gave me good information and advice on where to eat. Although breakfast was provided, there was also a kitchenette that was well-equipped if you wanted to fix snacks for yourself and there was a nice and private balcony with a view over the bay.

Everything as I was expected and even better!!! Traditional breakfast and everything handmade, spacious room, the view magnificent, just 150 meters away from the center but up the steep road to a very quiet neighborhood, we slept listening to the sound of the waves, we had been told about the tips around the island. They treat us more like a family friends than guests...Best accomodation ever!!! We will be back!!!

Stella’s Houses are set up on a hill overlooking the sea at Agia Pelagia. The view is amazing. Stella and her son Stathis are the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade by Stella. The best Greek coffee too. We will definitely stay there again should we be back on Kythera.
