I liked the view of the airport runway. The room was very comfortable, with nearly everything I needed. Location-wise it was easy to walk to the city center and to cross the airport to go to Spain. Walter was very helpful and friendly.

If going to Gibraltar, do not worry about currency or language as 99% of the places accept £ sterling even taxis and everyone speaks English. Getting about on the buses is very easy but they only take cash no cards

There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar. It is steeped in history spanning over 300 years with a significant military presence over the last 100 years.
Main Street has a Miriad of shops many of which are duty free with a specialisation in Jewellery, spirits and tobacco and many electronic shops which are extremely reasonably priced.
Some great beaches, public transport system and fantastic sight to be seen and a most impressive environmental protection area on upper rock with some fantastic sights across the Gibraltar straights to Morocco, Spain and the Mediterranean.

We live in Spain so to visit a British territory travelling a short distance by bus, stay in a very comfortable hotel was a pleasant experience and most enjoyable.
The hotel including the food was excellent but we ate in one of the town pubs and restaurants near the harbour which provided a variety of different dishes.
Gib.is a clean, historical place with plenty of green spaces and parks.
As we are of the older age bracket we did find the steep gradients and busy roads a little difficult but there is a reliable bus service and taxis available and we expected both problems with it being a small, rocky territory so it would not deter us from returning.
Overall an excellent experience and a visit well worth making.

Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . Try to do as much as you can on the one day . It works out far cheaper that way .

The rock itself is magnificent and the warm winter temperature was lovely. Travelling in January means far fewer tourists and no queues, which made visiting attractions easy. Similarly, getting into restaurants without reservations was no problem. Ideal for a history buff and a nature lover.
Very well stocked for self-catering. I couldn't think of anything else that they could put in to make it better. Very comfortable bed. Good views from windows. Very clean and tidy. Great position for exploring Gibraltar. Nice welcome pack (including a bottle of wine). Excellent response to message queries. Good WiFi and TV channels. Can't comment on swimming pool as I didn't go to it, but they did provide pool towels.
Comfortable quiet room with view of lower slopes of the rock. Afternoon sun on balcony. Transport from door. Easy regular bus service. Food appetising and well presented. Local Sandy beaches easy to reach and not crowded. Swimming pool at the hotel and sun loungers always free. Towels provided. I felt safe and secure at all times. This is without doubt, the best hotel in Gibraltar. A real class act!
The Experience of staying on a boat with lovely hosts. Its close to the border crossing and minutes from restaurants and town, good value compared to most Gibraltar accommodation. Just remember its a boat not a hotel room as it appears some of the negative comments were expecting, the toilets and showers are a few minutes walk away but are new. Great experience and would do it again.
Wonderful charming hotel with a fantastic location on Caleta Bay . The views looking out over the water are amazing. The restaurant, Nunos is absolutely top class and the staff are very professional. Easy to get to town by taxi or by bus, which stops directly in front of the hotel. Lovely pool area with a small bar where you can also order food .
I wanted to just say what a lovely time we had staying here. Everything exceeded our expectations. From the kindness of the host, the fantastic location. Cozy accommodations. I truly can not speak higher. We cooked , watched some movies and relaxed after exploring Gibraltar.
I can’t wait to stay again!
What a clever unique, creative accommodation! delightful location just minutes away from the very walkable city centre, and great restaurants/cafes. Fabulous views from the boats. The boat owners were so welcoming and helpful with planning my best stay in Gibraltar! Such a lovely holiday!
Very nice apartment with great facilities. The balcony is very large and great for a few drinks. Rooftop spa/pools way better than what you’d normally get at a hotel. Good location for bars and restaurants but easy to get around to visit other places around Gibraltar.
The studio is much better than any hotel in Gibraltar! Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of towels. Host left a bottle of wine and water! Special shout about the rooftop pool,I had lovely time there in the end of November! And what a view from the roof!
Great hotel, friendly staff and very clean. Our room was a good size with a balcony.
Fantastic location for bars and restaurants, and not too far from the airport
Brilliant mini break to Gibraltar would highly recommend both The Sunburn & Gibraltar:)
the property was spotless and the owner was a gentleman will definitely be staying there again, over the years I’ve been coming to Gibraltar I’ve stayed in all the hotels including the Sunborn and this property beats them all by a long chalk
The Rock has a special place in Gibraltar. Guaranteed good views of the bay with that old fashioned kind of service which you don't get these days. Great swimming pool just over the road and friendly staff throughout the hotel
I needed a place to stay for the night and comparing to prices for other hotels in Gibraltar this one is awesome.
Please beware there is a type G sockets in Gibraltar - luckily the lady from the hostel gave me adaptor.
Everything was great--the room, the staff, the common spaces, including the patio, breakfast room, and lobby bar. Very community feel. Great parking right outside the hotel front door.
the staff were very helpful and the hotel was spotless. I also used the spa and gum facilities which were excellent. the location on marina great with loads of restaurants close by.
The Bristol is priced competitively compared to other hotels in Central Gibraltar. The staff were nice and helpful. There was a fridge and air conditioning in the room
