Very friendly and helpful staff, great location walking distance to PATH train to NYC as well as large Newport Shopping Mall. The continental breakfast is good quality pastries, etc. but very limited space in lobby so usually used tray from room and took back to room. There is a lovely patio which we sat on for breakfast one morning when the weather was good. Well lit parking lot with free parking. There is no elevator which we knew from reading the info carefully but anyone who would find this a problem should book a ground floor room. Overall a great place to stay.

Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again.
Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again. I've stayed NYC but would only stay in Jersey City in the future. Jersey City is clean, modern and reflects the calmer side of life rather than getting caught up in the noise of NYC. Great transport links to NYC by PATH, ferry and bus.
The shopping mall had some great restaurants and eateries offering rustic bread sandwiches, salad bowls and ramen bowls.
There's an Indian grocery store on 10th Street offering THE VERY BEST Indian food I've ever tasted. It's a must do while you're in Newport.

We decided to stay in jersey city after a day in New York as it was very quick travel and got us closer to Liberty State Park for the next day. To find a hotel with free parking and access to our car was key. Not having to drag your suitcase down the streets from your payed parking spot was a nice luxury to have. Jersey city is only 6 miles from midtown Manhattan and 6 miles from Liberty state park. After the statue of liberty, Jersey city has a KPot which is a must try or go if you've been before! AYCE!!!!

If you want to visit Manhattan every day the PATH (basically a metro, going to Jersey) is the way to go if you will use public transport.
BUT! If you are a foreigner check first how the foreign credit/debit cards work (or better to say how they are not) with the ticket wending machines.... they are funny things and usually do not accept cash.

We actually visited NYC for most of our stay, but it was a nice convenient option to balance the cost of staying right in the city, and easy access into the city. The people in the area (beyond just the hotel staff) were nice, friendly, and helpful. Enjoyed the stay!

For me as a visitor from Europe Jersey City is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. On one hand you have this marvelous view of downtown Manhattan - on the other hand you have a lot of shopping options at the nearby mall within Jersey City. Taking a boat trip to Manhattan and back is wonderful. Jersey City is a lot less stressful than Manhattan as a place to stay overnight. I love it here.

It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC.
It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC. We were going to a concert at the Brooklyn Steel pier so with traffic it was about 40 minutes to get there on a Saturday night, but we hung out in Brooklyn for a while before the show. In the morning, we went to Liberty State Park and saw the Statue of Liberty and a 911 memorial (you can take the ferry from this park to the Statue of Liberty) The bathrooms at this park were very well kept and the whole park was big and beautiful. On the way back home we stopped at Wonder Bagels which was crowded but worth the wait. Lots of shops around and it looks like a lot is being done to enhance the area.
I really liked my room with the special entry! It had small stairs and a small plant at the entry, which was very nice. The room was very big, almost as big as a studio apartment. The hotel has a shuttle to Newark airport, which was very convenient for me on my way back to my connecting flight. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 5 min away to Junction Square PATH station, which was also very convenient. Thanks for everything.
The included hot breakfast was something I haven't seen in a while. It is much better than the "continental breakfast" I had seen in other hotels/motels in the past few years. I can see that the owner/management had put a lot of efforts in this.
The free included parking is another point that I appreciated. Even though the hotel seemed full there were rooms/spots available.
The gym seemed good. We went in and looked at the exercise machines but unfortunately didn't have time to use them.
The location was great and the view of Manhattan was amazing. The walkway around the waterfront and the shopping and restaurants nearby were unbeatable. Having the Path train right next door was icing on the cake. The lobby, bar and food choices were super convenient and all you would need. The room and facilities were spotless and modern. Great place to stay while visiting Manhattan or Jersey City. Would highly recommend it.
It was a great stay with my family. We like how they clean our room everyday even we did not ask for it. It was so good to be back in a clean hotel after a long day of walking around new york. It was close also to a bus stop so we have no problem going back to hotel without a car. It was also nice that Dunkin Donuts was just around the corner. Vending machines was available too.
The Hotel is in a beautiful area of Jersey City, right next to the train linking you to Wall street and Manhattan within few minutes. The views of the south of Manhattan are spectacular and you are also minutes away from a big park with great views of Ellis Island and the statue of Liberty. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious. Breakfast is good but extremely busy.
Great location to city using path trains ..
Nice rooms more than enough room for family of 5 .. two double beds and sofa bed in living room with big telly in each room ..
Bar area nice to chill .. food at hotel is really nice also .. and gym on second floor has everything you need to do a decent work out ..
Super location! Best place to stay if you want to visit NY - right next to PATH train station, approx 20 minutes and you are in Manhattan. And few steps from hotel and you are looking a beautiful Manhattan - the views are magnificent! Very good hotel, enjoyed our stay so very much :)
in my life saw this place only worst. Smell very bad , rooms equipment terrible. Bed is terrible. When I open blanket all hair on bed sheet. I don’t know who is checks this hotel and giving permit to be a hotel. Health department should check this place.
Room was really spacious & modern.
The hotel has just been refurbished, everything is clean and new. Was nice and welcoming on arrival. The personal extras the hotel staff put on for us for our celebrations while away was really lovely and unexpected.
Ms. Viktoria at the front desk was very professional and made me feel satisfied as a guest despite the many challenges at this hotel. The location is quite close to the subway station and only a few stops to the heart of NYC.
The hotel is brand new, around multiple transportation, walking distance to near shopping center, close to Hoboken Harbor where you can enjoy NY skyline. The staff In the hotel was great! Thank you Roxanne!
The hotel's location was wonderful and my view was ok... only a partial view of NYC. Biggest problem was that I could see into the window of the other rooms. Hated that
