We've visited Rothbury many time over the last 30 years and have stayed at the Queen's Head Hotel and had many enjoyable family meals there. It's an old building and although it was refurbished a few years ago you have to accept that it's not a new building so there's some creaks and knocked corners.
Nestled in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, Westfield House Farm offers bed and breakfast accommodations just a couple of miles from Northumberland National Park.

The breakfast was delicious and always delivered with a smile. The room and facilities were great and the view spectacular. Fantastic bath however shower temperature was a bit tricky to navigate, a very gentle touch was needed between freezing and boiling!
Loved the bench by the lake, very relaxing stay

Pretty village several good pubs and a really good Micropub. the amazing Cragside House only a mile and a half outside the village. N.T. over 40 miles of walks on the estate and 6 mile carriage walk which you can drive round. Queens Head served a good meal on Saturday night. Closed for meals after 6 p.m. on Sunday. Rothbury is only about 12 miles from Alnwick, an attractive market town with a castle used in Harry Potter films.

Small town with lots of quirky shops, three pubs, a wine bar and good cafe and bakeries.
Lots of interesting things to see and do mainly connected with Lord Armstrong who was an engineer and armament supplier in the Great War. The town has erected the Armstrong cross on the green in front of the church and pub in his honour
A visit to Cragside is a must!!!

Rothbury is quite a pleasant small town with adequate facilities. The nearby National Trust property - Cragside - is a real asset. Distances to other sites in Northumberland are generally manageable. Examples are Alnwick, Otterburn, Bamburgh, Wooller and Morpeth.
La Mensa is a lively and enjoyable Italian restaurant and The Turk's Head offers good pub food.
Very comfortable and stylish property. A great place to stay in Rothbury and convenient for many gems in Northumberland places to visit, Cragside is very close, Wooler, Kielder, Holy Isalnd, Berwick and Alnwick are easy to reach, and wel worth an excursion.
Will definitely be returning, folks are very friendly. I took my e-bike and enjoyed cycling around the local area
Very peaceful and quiet location on the edge of the village. Fantastic breakfast and fabulous hosts. Any tips for sightseeing/trips/restaurants the hosts are able to provide plenty of suggestions and recommendations. There is a pub/restaurant about 5 minutes walk with great food and Rothbury has a nice Italian restaurant about 5 minutes drive.
Lou and Shaun were very welcoming and have a lovely house. we loved the area and the highlight for our girls was definitely going to help feed the goats and hold the baby goats. Breakfast was delicious. our room was gorgeous, very spacious with comfortable beds. Great location to explore the Northumberland area. We’ll definitely be back!
Country house with marvellous views over the market town of Rothbury and the the hills beyond. High quality rooms and en-suite facilities. Excellent breakfast with a range of interesting choices, including superb porridge. Welcoming but discreet hosts. A highly recommended hotel.
Absolutely beautiful location
Owners are very nice and very helpful with a good breakfast choice
(Craster kippers I recommend)
Very quiet location
Lovely part of Northumberland
Good WiFi within the property
This site of mainly privately owned homes is fairly small but absolutely immaculate, I have never seen a better maintained site.
Rothbury is a very attractive large village/small town with good facilities.
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Lovely clean room, big bathroom, comfortable firm bed. Great location for exploring Northumberland and walking. 5 minutes walk jnto Rothbury. Dog friendly. Good parking.
The location was close to central Rothbury so pubs and restaurants were within walking distance. The decor was immaculate and spotless. Northumberland was as beautiful as ever and this was an excellent base.
Location. Close to town of Rothbury (5 to 10 minute walk) and variety of pubs but very quiet on site. Beautiful area. Sitting on balcony with beautiful surroundings
