The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very quirky and cosy inside. The rooms and bed were comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful! The place is located centrally and it's easy to get to. We didn't try any food at the hotel though. Would definitely come back to visit

Redcliffe Hotel is at an excellent location at the East side of Inverness. Short walk to the center of town and a quick down-hill walk to the river Ness (and the parks). Plenty of parking in the hotel lot. Wood fired pizza on the covered patio was excellent. It was drizzling and the heaters were adequate to keep the cold at bay.
The room was in a separate building a few steps across the road from the main hotel. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bottles of water were provided. There was plenty of complimentary tea and coffee. Bathroom facilities were spacious and plenty of hot water when needed. Very close to the Inverness Castle and views of the castle from the room. Excellent location.
The centrally located Heathmount Hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Castle, and offers Scottish whiskey, Illy coffee and freshly mixed cocktails in its 2 contrasting bars.

Peter was absolutely wonderful. He gave us some tips on where to visit, how to get around and even offered to take us to one of the sights on his own time. The breakfast was more than generous. He checked in on us to ensure that we were well looked after, if we needed anything, etc. A quick 20 minute bus ride into the city centre, this location is will worth it!

The location is spot on. Parking a 5 minute walk away. Paid £60 extra to make it a triple room which meant a camp bed was placed in the room…not impressed, couldn’t sleep in it, had to share double bed.

Easy to get to city whether travelling by road, rail, bus and air (air port slightly out of Inverness). We travelled by train and we had lunch in the Ash Restaurant next to the railway station as we had time to kill before we got into our apartment and food was excellent. We also visited the Palace hotel for afternoon tea which was also good.
Plenty of eateries, pubs and shops

Inverness is perfect for a holiday where you want to prioritize gentleness, quiet, & rest but balanced with time outdoors & access to general amenities (restaurants, pubs, historic sites, etc). Ease of access to the rest of the highlands (and numerous day tour options for the Isle of Skye) are a definite plus for those wanting to go further afield.

Inverness is a lovely place and ideally situated to go off and explore Loch Ness. The city itself has plenty to see and do with some lovely eating and drinking establishments.
The people were warm and friendly and it felt particularly safe when out walking at night.
We were there to take part in the Etape Loch Ness which is a cycling challenge around the entire Loch Ness and up in to the mountains.
It was perfectly organised and an event i'd thoroughly recommend doing.
The walks along the river and around the small islands on the river are really lovely and you are ideally placed for exploring the beautiful countryside that surrounds Inverness.. we will definitely be going back again.

We only used Inverness as a central location for activities that we carry out i.e. following a Steam Train that was visiting the area so had no reason to visit anywhere in Inverness except for a couple of local eateries.
It was the best hostel I have been in my long travel through Scotland. Good relation quality/price, and in the center of Inverness, near the Castle. I was in a room for four, clean, comfortable, with space. Shared bathroom are very good, modern and clean. I did not used the other facilities. They have space where to leave lugage between checkout and gone... and the rest room is so nice! Definitely, a place to choose in Inverness.
great little BnB, good location just off of the old town. A bit of a walk but not bad at all. check in process was so easy, they texted me the key code and had the room ready ahead of time. it was really nice to just walk in and unpack, take a short nap and head back into town. breakfast was pretty typical for BnBs in Scotland, good simple breakfast food both hot and cold. the ladies did a great job and were very pleasant.
Beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood. Easy, short walk to downtown. Great breakfast was included. Host family could not be nicer. They even picked me up when I got a bit turned around walking there from the train station! Inverness is a lovely city, very close to the Culloden Battlefield, the terrible aftermath of which is why so many Scots left Scotland for America, N. Ireland, etc. Well worth visiting!
Perfect, simply perfect. A whole house with two bedrooms, a large, comfortable living room, a separate dining room and a large kitchen plus a little terrace area. Everything perfectly clean and in good state. Inner town in Inverness is only 5 minutes away by foot, and the Tesco alomost next door. The best acccomodation we had on our three weeks trip to Scotland. Nice communication with the owners.
Breakfast was very nice buffet. Simple menu, but feel breakfast, bacon - eggs - breads - juices. Nice coffee machine.
Very simple setup to the hotel. Bar also served as the front desk foe check-in and services. Very Spartan feel, to both the main floor and the rooms. Clean but like everywhere we went in Scotland in 2022, staffing shortages.
Whenever I travel to the north of Scotland, I always break my journey with a night at The Royal Highland Hotel in Inverness, which still fulfils everything a railway hotel was designed for: a stylish place to stay with good food and comfortable bedrooms conveniently sited for the station.
this hotel was in a decent location, the bar/restaurant has good food at reasonable prices and the staff was very nice. The hotel itself is fairly old, the room was a typical small scotland room with the typical amenities. The Wi-Fi did not work in the rooms, which was a bit annoying.
The room was comfortable and quite spacious. A good place to start our journey through the North of Scotland. The shower was warm and the bathroom was very clean. For the budget price, the room was good and the staff really friendly. Super easy to get into central Inverness too.
It is a great starting point to travel all around Scotland and the Highlands. Inverness is just a few minutes away and the place is tidy, comfortable and you got everything you need. The hosts Ian and Oyfrid were also very lovely and kind! We had a great time there.
Wow! What a wonderful friendly hotel. Our room was clean and spacious and comfortable. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional- our evening meal was the best we had so far on our Scotland holiday. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.
Can’t say enough about our experience at Balvraid Lodge. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, the room was warm and cozy, the food was absolutely amazing. I would definitely return and recommend this location to anyone traveling to Scotland
I just loved this place. The decor was all Scotland, and very tasteful. The home and neighborhood were lovely and close to town. The family was helpful and pleasant. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
I escaped the hotel and walked five minutes to the unpretentious Castle Tavern, where I had the best meal I had in Scotland. The view of the river would have been lovely in summer.
By far the nicest B&B we slept at during our 9 night trip to Scotland. The facility is brand new, the room was very spacy and Nadine our host was very friendly and helpful.
