The room was perfectly spacious for one and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed. The setting of the property is reasonably quiet, and the room was well away from the bar, so it had a peaceful feel to it. Appreciated the fact that it was also a CAMERA listed establishment. It was easy to drive from there to the Wrekin or to Ironbridge, both areas worth exploring. The food was excellent, as was the service. I linked up with family whilst there, and we all enjoyed our meal.

We didn't see much of Telford as we were attending a UW conference. What we did notice driving around Telford to get where we were going was how clean it was. We will definitely be coming back to visit Telford itself later in the year.

Would thoroughy recommend the liquor room for cocktails and miller and carter for evening meal. Don’t stay at Mercure Telford City hotel though ….. have done so twice now with bad experience both times.

We came to attend an angling championship. The weather was exceptionally wet. Roads were closed and Ironbridge was flooded. We attended the competition and went home as soon as we could. We did revisit the Grazing Cow restaurant for our second evening meal. The food was good and a good atmosphere.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution, there are plenty of historical ruins and artifacts to see. Ironbridge is amazing considering when it was built. Multi museum pass is best value if you are staying for a couple of days. There are plenty of small villages to explore but be prepared for the narrow farm tracks if venturing off the main A roads.
Taxi’s are available in and around Telford but if you are travelling to a rural location such as Neenton (the Pheasant) you will need to contact a taxi firm such as 1st Choice Taxi’s in advance to make a firm booking. Uber services don’t Appear to be available once you are a few miles from Telford itself and mobile data is not always available.

Brilliant location with so many great attractions!
Brilliant location with so many great attractions! Town park is fantastic and all free! We also visited the exotic zoo which was lovely too! So much to do in the area, we will return again and stay longer next time to fit more in!
My go-to for my monthly work trip to Telford. In the 18 months I’ve been working up there I’ve tried a few hotels around the Donnington area with varying degrees of success… Fallowfield is definitely the fave (and probably one of the cheapest too!). Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, a decent evening meal / brekkie from the pub and a 24-hr garage 2 mins walk away when those late night “I fancy a choccie bar” attacks hit! When you’re travelling for business, what more do you need?!
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Continental breakfast options were just right. The room was simple, comfortable and relaxing. Suited our requirements perfectly. Easy to get to as well, due to its central location. The hotel policy of not automatically servicing rooms daily was fine with us. They will service the room daily if you ask but we felt it saved on unnecessary work and was eco-friendly - especially for a relatively short stay.
Glenys is a lovely lady and host and made me feel very welcome. Full English breakfast was great and provided early in the morning as I needed to get away. She is very accommodating to help such as storing my bike in her garage.
The house is in a nice area and is charming. Parking right outside is very handy too.
Kettle and coffee in the room.
Decent price for area. Hotels in Telford are surprisingly expensive.
Breakfast was very good, atmosphere good as were the staff who were very welcoming. The hotel is a little 'tired' but loved the old setting, & the location. The room was a good size. The bed was the worst part of the stay as it was very soft & uncomfortable, the shower was a lottery as to whether you got hot or cold water, however, the power of the shower was good. I would stay there again.
The unique architecture, idyllic setting, friendly staff, conveniently located near the local attractions, particularly the Ironbridge Gorge and River Severn. Great options for dining in the area and well situated for deeper dive into Shropshire and a favourite haunt of Ludlow Castle. I rate the hotel as a 10 as all the family would gladly visit again.
The bed was very comfy the room was spacious and very clean. The bath was a little small for my 6 foot plus husband but a lovely indulgent for me. The shower was hot and fast flowing so another plus.
I just wish we could of stayed longer. The breakfast was very nice too. All in all a fantastic comfy value for money stay in a very nice hotel.
Large room with sofa and armchair. Really comfortable. Bed comfortable also. Very clean. Tea, coffee biscuits supplied and replenished. Food was good at breakfast and in the evening. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. In a great location for Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Telford cinema. We really enjoyed our stay.
Its fantastic value and close to Telford town centre, free big car park, big rooms and areas within the pub if you need a quite space. Locals are friendly and engaging.
Good well priced and cooked food available, rooms are clean, tidy and well appointed.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet at this lovely hotel ... close to Birmingham for business, yet in the heart of beautiful Shropshire with wonderful views and helpful staff. The position above Ironbridge is just perfect, and the hotel ticks the boxes.
Bed and pillows were very comfy, Very handy for Telford centre and QEII Arena. Could not hear any noise during the night.
Did like the fact the hotel allowed us to leave the car on the car park after checkout so we could go into the centre.
Great facilities and staff in a great location with easy access to both Telford centre and the Motorway. The hotel bar/restaurant offers a good breakfast selection and there are a number of restaurants a short walk away for the evening
Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff, Magda and Helen in particular, were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location and is only 5 mins walk from the International Telford Centre. Definitely would stay here again.
Good location for visiting the area. Good parking availability in the car park opposite. Nearby shops.
Relatively quiet area. Fully equipped for a weekend break and longer! Short 10 min drive away from Telford's main town center.
I love the amenities and bar service. All of the staff are knowledgeable of not just one area, they can work in two different departments in one shift which I find is really amazing! Kudos to the team. 5 stars for all.
Comfy bed, good water pressure on the shower, nice and warm temperature in the room, the guide for the surrounding areas in the room was really nice touch.
