In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is across from the Queensgate shopping center.

Room was good. Breakfast was OK once we'd worked out how to go about it. We were given no instructions on how to order or whether it was self service - it wasn't but there was nobody around to serve us. A few instructions at check-in would have been helpful.

Holiday Inn Peterborough West, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Peterborough

This modern AA 4-star hotel has a gym, a spa and an indoor pool, just 5 minutes from Peterborough city center.

Comfortable, functional. Good swimming and sauna facilities. Breakfast range of foods/ drinks was good especially the vegan/gluten free smoothies and fruit section. Dinner was quite pricey for what it was and also too salty though a decent meal overall.

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved. I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this. There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently. This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Cathedral area well worth a visit.

Cathedral area well worth a visit. Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course. Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area. Plus train trips. Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too. Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!

There is a excellent centre that has a good variety of restaurants, shops and corner little shops. Named chains and independent retailers. There is also historical aspects if you want to know more about Peterborough's history. There are reasonable priced car parking places. If not wanting to drive the coach and train stations are very local if you want to leave the car at home!.

The Cathedral is the only iconic landmark that Peterborough has to offer so I had to take a look around that area of the city. It is something the city should be proud of. I would go to watch PUFC if they were playing at that moment in time but I was busy elsewhere. Charters bar was a great social event where I could watch the England game on the big screen. Great atmosphere.

Hotel itself is in a nice quiet area of Peterbrough approx. 1 mile (20-25 min walk) from the city centre. They do have an electric car charge point on site (PodPoint - you need to register and add some credit onto your account) - it's one of the slow 3kw charger but you can leave it overnight for a good charge Check-in / check-out was self-service and was a painless exercise If you don't go for the breakfast option, there is a Co-Op 10 mins down the road

Great little hotel on the outskirts of Peterborough town centre. The accommodation is very clean and well kept. We were given an upgrade and our room was lovely. Breakfast is served in your room, continental style. We enjoyed omelettes, toast, croissants, juice, tea and coffee.Bathroom good, with walk in shower. Staff were very professional and cheerful. We only stayed one night, but would return if travelling to Peterborough again.

Convenience of location close to town centre. Very handy if you are travelling by train. Due to train strike we didn't but there is plenty of parking at the hotel although at a cost of £5 for 24hrs. The hotel staff are very friendly. Wasn't changed for two soft drinks by the barman. The gentleman who attended to us as breakfast was very attentive. Breakfast was lovely although it has changed somewhat from our last stay.

Surprisingly for a chain hotel and Peterborough, this hotel has staff that always acknowledge guests, spot if you're looking for something and, obviously want to do a good job. The manager clearly gets in amongst the action and leads by example. The room was well maintained and the broken window catch we reported was mended within a few hours of it being reported. Breakfast buffet was really good and well stocked.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean but quite old fashioned. Breakfast was served in your your room at your selected time. There was a choice of items both hot and cold. There was no seperate bar but you could get drinks from the attached restaurant. There was free car parking and the car parked was secured overnight. Its about a 10 minute walk from the main town centre.

Location was perfect, hotel easy to find, and convenient to major roads into Peterborough, but without this causing an issue for noise. Staff very welcoming and helpful. first appearances inside the hotel and grounds very good. I was a little concerned that there was a festival at a nearby venue on one of the nights of my stay. But that finished at 10:00 pm, so i was not disturbed during my stay.

The staff were lovely, often working in difficult circumstances. This is a great location, just by the railway station, very convenient for public transport and the town centre. It's an old hotel with a lot of history and retains features that hints at its past. I really wanted to have an excellent stay... Nearly 100 years ago my grandmother worked here as a daily... But...
