Heathrow, a Heath and Stately Homes

In the closest London Borough to Heathrow Airport, Hounslow hotels and guesthouses on Booking.com are understandably a popular choice for those flying in and out of the UK’s busiest airport. However, there are more reasons to stay here than just this.

Hounslow Heath has a nature reserve and golf course, and to the north in the Osterley suburb is the National Trust-operated Osterley Park with its stately home and gardens. Southeast of here is Syon House, while Hanworth Park House is in the Feltham district, home to just some of the hotels near Heathrow Terminal 4. Also close by is the wildlife haven of Bedfont Lakes Country Park.

There are also 2 smaller parks in the Cranford district, near the Bath Road which passes the road leading to Heathrow Terminals 1-3. Most hotels near Heathrow on this road are served by an airport shuttle which has transfers to all 5 terminals. At the opposite end of the airport from Hounslow, Terminal 5 is the newest and most state of the art, and has its own station on the London Underground.

All Heathrow Airport stations are on the Piccadilly Line and have fast connections to the 3 Tube stations in Hounslow itself, and beyond to central London.

This area has many overseas tourists and travellers, living in Hounslow. Hounslow is ideal for London Heathrow airport and has easy access into London. Has easy access to motorways too. There are many Mosques nearby.

Honestly, I don't know Hounslow well, but I always use London Hounslow west station to transfer when I travel from Heathrow. You know, I prefer to travel with the bus, because I can to look around. There is a convenient Sainsbury local next to the Hounslow west station. Iceland store is on the opposite side. And you have to see the market place nearby. his is a weekend market place open only on weekends 7:00am-2:00pm. Other days it’s just a parking area. It's funny and you can get really good bagrain. I didn't see anything like this before - you have to visit it!

We were only in Hounslow the evening and night before our flight out of Heathrow. We walked several blocks to our hotel from the train station, through a section of town with some run down buildings and others under redevelopment. Pleasantly surprised to find the Market Place, a great location for ethnic foods from many countries in a food court setting. Only a couple stops to the airport from the train station.

Compared to Moxy hotels in Tokyo and New York this was greatly spacious as a room. Super clean and close to Heathrow as you can see the planes from your room. Also the parkings to T2&T3 are only a 3 minute drive from the hotel. Great experience overall and for the best price. You can also easily take the underground to central London as there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel to take you to the metro.

Basic, clean and tidy. Budget accommodation but for the great value did not expect the Ritz. Overall really pleased with the stay. Little noisy but can’t close down Heathrow Airport to accommodate the noise situation. Property was close to all amenities, we travelled into west London for the day from Hounslow Central station which was walking distance.

Location was brilliant. It was close to Hounslow Central Tube station. It was 4 stations away from Heathrow Terminal. I just wanted a one night rest and this was good value for money. They didn’t have a restaurant, but Aaha Dosa is right across the hotel. I had Indian street food at Market Place ( 2 min walk from the hotel )

Perfect location next to tube station, so easy to get in to central London, free car park, hotel is only a few minutes from Heathrow. The staff were exceptional, they made a huge effort with all the guests and seemed to remember all of our names, they really made us feel at home and I will definitely use this hotel again.

This is a cracking little hotel, 2 minutes from Hounslow Central Tube with secure car parking (locked at night). Staff were very friendly and polite and room was absolutely spotless. Quiet neighbourhood and easy to find. Modern conversion with great shower. Couldn't fault it.

The staff was very friendly and courteous - from the receptionist to the domestic workers - all were committed. The rooms were clean and proper and the location of the hotel is quite attractive as you reach the underground-station "central hounslow" within 2-3 minutes.

I only booked it because I HAD TO since British Airlines had changed my flights and I had to sleep in London instead of coming back home like it was planned (and what I had paid for!!); I chose the hotel believing it was close to the airport which was what I needed

Utilitarian, but notably spotless clean. Quiet, good access to transit cheap restaurants and groceries. Nice to be on a high street rather than a suburban carpark-style hotel. I liked that the floors were not carpeted.

I stayed here for one night. It was easy to reach London Heathrow from the Moxy London Heathrow via public transport. I thought the property offered a well-designed and value priced room. Neighborhood, just ok.
