Lovely and cozy hotel. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed and guided to our room. The room was extremely comfortable, with lots of space and a big bed. Our waiter at dinner, He-man, was beyond exceptional to us and everyone in the dining room.

It Is a beautiful place. It is old but very well maintained. We felt very comfortable there. The view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly. Really nice sauna with cold shower - excellent after hiking.
We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back:)

The room was clean, the whole building very tired & worn , needs a lot of money spent on it !
Naomi was a very helpful lady she offered us a lift to the local pub which was very kind of her , very friendly & helpful !
Unfortunately the lady on the reception desk when we arrived was not so pleasant, kept talking over me which is found very frustrating.

Lovely small, vibrant town with a good atmosphere, plenty of places to eat and drink and small independent shops. Nice local history too with the Crickhowell Bridge and the ruins of the castle in town as well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The Bear is very central in a delightful little town.
The Bear is very central in a delightful little town. Ample parking. We were upgraded to a bigger room which was very comfortable. The staff were outstanding. It was a well.motivated trained happy team. Always busy with guests and locals but it ran very smoothly
I booked the Dragon Inn as it came up as the cheapest available property, as I was traveling on my own I was not too concerned about luxury or comfort. The Dragon Inn exceeded all expectations (I had assumed due to the low price it would not be such a lovely place) I was greeted with the warmest of welcomes (even help to park my car!), the room was very warm, comfortable and clean. The food was fantastic, I ate both my evening meals there and the breakfasts set me up perfectly for running in the mountains. Thank you for an excellent stay!
Kestrel Inn is well-sited and overlooks the scenic Cwmdu valley. The Inn and its rooms are clean, warm and comfortable, and the owners are welcoming with much-needed advice on places to visit and things to do. Breakfast was cooked by the owners, which we appreciated greatly, and dinners were found in the historic village of Crickhowell, which is only a 6 minute drive away. The Inn is well-placed to explore Brecon Beacons National Park by car or bicycle, with quiet country lanes starting literally over the road.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Bear. We were upgraded to a lovely room across the courtyard which was bigger than we had expected - a nice surprise. Comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower.
We enjoyed the breakfast choices particularly the porridge with pecans and honey which was delicious!
The Bear is located in the centre of Crickhowell near the interesting independent shops in the high street. There are lovely walks to do from the door.
Lle hyfryd i aros.
The location of the cottage was excellent, in the middle of the town and an easy walk to pubs and restaurants. Having parking in the nearby pub meant no worries about the car while we were there. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and very nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. Nice bathroom too. And Crickhowell is the starting point for several fine walks across the Welsh hills, which is the reason we were staying.
Absolutely stunning hotel!
Me and my boyfriend travelled down here from Devon for a getaway together, and we had a lovely time!
We enjoy going for walks and we went for a lovely walk along the canal and walked into crickhowell town and had a drink out in the sun!
The food at the hotel is amazing and the breakfast is 10/10!!
We will definitely return back here again!
Highly recommend this hotel! X
We wanted a place to stay near Crickhowell so we could start our walk first thing in the morning, and this inn definitely exceeded our expectations. I strongly recommend you eat there in the evenings, they have great Jamaican food. The breakfast is described as continental but is better than the average continental breakfast as there are also crumpets/waffles/pastries etc.
Lovely period accommodation, right Inthe middle of this lovely little town and retaining lots of original features, slightly quirky - but everything we needed was there. For our business trip so much better than a hotel as we were able work at the dining table. We had breakfast at the dragon inn which I highly recommend.
Very helpful hosts. Brilliant location and house. Ideal for us and another family with 4 pre-school children. Lots of space inside (garden smaller than expected but lovely) and quite soundproof. One of the bedrooms had a little extra section that was perfect to fit our son's cot in so he couldn't see our bed!
What a gem of a place, suitable for all our needs. Secure garage underneath to keep our bikes. Lovely walks nearby, we climbed up to Table Mountain. The town has some lovely pubs, I can recommend “The Bear” for food as well. The people were welcoming and the accommodation warm and clean.
very warm welcome, clean and nice room, generous (more than a continental) breakfast. We stayed in a room above the Pub space and it was not a nuisance at all. a short walk into Crickhowell. ideal to explore the beautiful National Park. Def recommend it.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s so wonderful having a hotel that’s also so dog friendly. Great location, stunning views and beautifully decorated for Christmas , making it feel really special.
The spacious room, the breakfasts and the genuine hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely family who run this B and B. You can also walk into Crickhowell and llangattock for lovely pub meals.
Excellent location for visiting the Brecon Beacons. Right near the Brecon canal and locks - lovely walks and lots of nearby towns and villages to visit.
Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Self catering. Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The accommodation was very clean and cosy and situated in a quiet location and had its own parking space for one vehicle.
Self catering but was in the middle of town with plenty of choice of eateries.close to pubs and restaurants.Nearby riverside walks and and boat hire on canal.
The guesthouse was lovely with a pleasant communal sitting room. We walked along the canal to the Horseshoe Inn in Llangattock for a fantastic evening meal.
