I like everything! The hotel was modern and very clean. The room is quite small but was expected, since we were just staying for a night. I felt very lucky that we got the room thats facing the lake windermere. There a lot of choices for the breakfast well, we had a very filling breakfast. Even the breakfast place had a nice view of the lake! Location is 10/10 as well, we drove a car, but we parked in hotel first then walk to town because it was just a 5-10 walk to the center.

It is so easy going in Bowness we try to come here as often as we can. There’s something to do for everyone young and old. We have a dog now and he’s so relaxed here many places are dog friendly. Bars and restaurants brilliant especially Italians on the Main Street. Our favourite place can’t wait to come back

I liked the Beatrix Potter museum, Holehird Gardens, and Stagshaw gardens, Hayes garden centre up in Ambleside. Booked an amazing day trip with Mountain Goat tours that took us around ten Lakes of the Lake District with our amazing guide Mark Shipley. the restaurants I went to was Francine's up in Windermere, Urban Food House (superb) and the Magic Roundabout. I was within walking distance of everything in Bowness. I probably would avoid booking in the school holidays, was very busy everywhere. the weather was very changeable but it is the wettest area of Great Britain.

Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea.
Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea. I have been in the summer before and it is so busy it is unpleasant and parking is difficult. I would advise visitors to choose a hotel with private parking - preferably free, some charge for parking - leave a car there and walk to town or to the lakeside. Also be aware that Bowness is built on a steep hill and not all roads have pavements.

The town and area around Bowness are beautiful.
The town and area around Bowness are beautiful. We were able to walk and visit an amazing Arts and Crafts house and then see a very undeveloped part of the lake shore on foot. The ferry across the lake was nearby and the walk to Hill Top to see Beatrix Potter's house was beautiful and well signed. We had good meals in a pub and bistro near to Fairfield House so not needing to use the car made the location great for us.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Westbourne, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better – it was so close to both the lake and the town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. There was a bus stop as well right outside the hotel. The manager was so friendly and took the time to provide us with valuable recommendations for places to visit in the area. There was free parking available at the hotel as well.
Excellent location in Bowness very close to the lake and amenities. The room was clean and very comfy, the bottles of water and Kendal mint cake were a nice touch. The staff were excellent nothing was to much to ask, with a special mention to the two lads in the Bar. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, reasonably priced and large portions. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel.
Attitude and manner of staff was spot on, the level of professionalism and friendliness felt genuine at all times.
Didn't treat the consumables in the room like they're gold plated like most hotels. Enough toilet rolls to last a week, plenty of shower gels soaps etc, and no shortage of tea and coffee Biscuits.
Lovely hotel with excellent owner and staff. Lovely clean room. Nice and quiet and adults only.Staff couldn't do enough for you excellent. Near to the shops, pubs and lakes. Great location and great bus service so dont need to move the car when parked. Looking forward to going back.
Jackie & Steve were very friendly & welcoming. Nothing was too.much trouble to them and the breakfast was amazing. Craigholme is only a few minutes walk from Bowness on Windermere which has an excellent choice of restaurants and pubs.

Great location. Close enough to walk to the lakeside but private enough to avoid the crowds.
Clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly want for a short stay,
Beautiful garden.
We love the Belsfield Hotel. The staff are very helpful and the furnishings and decor are beautiful. The location is perfect, especially, if you cannot walk very far. Everything spotlessly clean.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast although simple was delicious. Location was perfect, short stroll to Bowness on Windermere and located near many shops and restaurants.
Lovely hotel in a ideal location close to the lake, shops, restaurants & pubs. Friendly staff & wide range of choice for breakfast, which was very good. Our room was large & cosy.
Beautiful setting and spacious room. The hotel is close to the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere but feels very peaceful. Great service and an excellent breakfast- would recommend
Joan and Simon were excellent hosts . We loved everything about this wonderful B&B . Location was very good just a short stroll to all that Bowness on Windermere has to offer 😀
Location is great. A 20 minute walk into Bowness on Windermere. Breakfast is great, a wide selection of food. The grounds are stunning and staff were friendly and accommodating.
Friendly staff. The location of the hotel next to Lake Windermere was excellent. The services seemed extensive but, to be fair, we only stayed one night.
