This was an exceptionally well appointed, room, with a lot of space, an excellent comfortable bed, refrigerator, TV, and a superb bath/toilette. There was a great deal of attention paid to the room, and amenities with extras such as Alexa voice control for several room features, and automated draperies. The facility is situated very close to the college of art and design and a whole host of dining/relaxing options.

I really like Dundee but have only started visiting fairly recently. Prior to that it was always somewhere we stopped for a quick snack before heading on to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
For my 11 year old, she loves the shopping as we do let her loose by herself (which is not something I would allow in Glasgow or Edinburgh, too big) and I like the culture. The Discovery and the V&A are right next to each and good for a visit. The HMS Unicorn is also worth a visit and we have enjoyed the Science Centre and Camperdown Park previously.
There are some lovely pubs and restaurants, I have never met any rude staff, they are always so lovely and friendly.
Highly recommend a wee visit.

Plenty of things to do and see. We were there for a gig at The Caird Hall love the intimate atmosphere of the venue. Plenty of shops pubs and eating places. Easy to get to although new LEZ might be a bit of a nuisance for city centre things

Well I am going to say it is great going to Dundee as I am an expat.
Not too impressed with the V&A, Lovely building but disappointing inside. McManus is better. Up the Law Hill is well worth the visit even in the cold and wind etc. and Broughty Ferry is great for shopping and pubs etc.

Only a brief visit (open day visit to one of the Universities with son from England). Wish we had longer - lovely small city, friendly atmosphere and very beautiful location. New design museum a must. Will be back to see more of city and area, even if son does not end up at the Uni.

City centre has good museums and nice walks along the river. Good transport and city centre restaurants. Fabulous Thai restaurant next door to hotel, Italian and Indian restaurants short bus/taxi ride away. Good cafes for breakfast. Regular buses to seaside. Would have enjoyed better pubs without football screens. Hotels better for a quiet drink.

Visit Shackleton and Scotts ship Discovery, just outside the hotel, across the road, 5 mins away plus V&A. Also Dundee is where the Beano comic is published and it’s characters are featured in the V&A and in the city.
Apex is one of my no.1 to go while traveling to Dundee. Excellent location, parking always avaliable, nice views from the hotel rooms. Every single member of staff is very nice, polite and helpful! Even that front desk staff was extremely helpful and informative, I managed to get lost anyway, but then the housekeeping ladies helped me out again, they were very lovely and polite. The whole team of employees are exceptionally well trained to deal with customers. I think I like the atmosphere created by the whole of Apex team the most.
The location is good, it's on the main street in the city centre, but that didn't mean it was noisey at all.
The facilities are alright, maybe it could be better with more but it's ok.
The rooms were fine, they're basic, but you pay a cheap price so that's alright.
Staff were good, and it's a curious place to go to, a weird old building (or two or three) so there's more character than some modern identikit hotel.
Staff were amazing. The room was really comfortable and had everything supplied. The hotel is really quirky, being three little cottages combined into one. The restaurant was great - the fish and chips was first class! You can stroll along the sea to the Broughty Castle. I would highly recommend The Fisherman's Tavern to anyone going to Dundee as it's not far from the city.
The Queens is in a great location close to Dundee city centre. The hotel has lost a little of its grandeur (it must have been spectacular in its heyday) but it still covers all the basics well. The room was good (3rd floor) with great views of the city. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Parking was on site and free. The staff were good.
One of the staff Aileen greeted us in the lift whilst we were looking for our room. She took us to the room, told us all about the Apex and Dundee as our first time staying here. Gave us lots of information about the place, even gave us a fan for the room as it was quite warm. Such a welcoming, friendly and helpful lady, a credit to the hotel.
Overnight stay while my daughter got started at Ninewells Hospital. Short taxi trip to hospital. Staff young and all very pleasant and more than helpful. Took opportunity of the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was super value. Hotel is a secret gem on the outskirts of Dundee set in beautiful grounds. Will certainly visit again.
Comfy, clean, quiet rooms, with air conditioning which worked really well to keep us cool overnight, essential as windows don't open. Hotel is in a great location to discover Dundee, ideal for a short visit to the city. The hotel recommended local parking, which was very close and really good value.
Ideally located hotel if you are visiting the Cairngorms or travelling to the Northern Highlands, or just looking to visit Dundee. Staff were friendly and helpful. About 2 miles away from the airport. The hotel has leisure facilities. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable.
For the price, the holiday inn express in Dundee is a good choice. The chap on reception when we arrived around midnight after an awful journey was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The breakfast is what you would expect from a budget hotel but it was tasty and sufficient.
Very central, and it was good to stay in hotel that knew when used to often past through Dundee was in ruins. Amazing grand stairs and coffee bags in room (real coffee for a change!). Amazing light up wardrobe and hidden away kettle was genesis
Location is on the main shopping street of Dundee. There was a secure place to store my rented e-bike over night. I noticed there was a kitchen available to guests for food preparation. (Didn't use it) The staff was helpful and listened to me.
Great hotel next to downtown Dundee in Old renovated Mill. Super clean, new, modern but with nice touches left of existing buildings. Staff are excellent, breakfast very big and nice buffet. Tea and coffee all day in cosy lobby.
Hotel and grounds were lovely. let us check in early which was great after an
overnight flight from Canada. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Staff were very helpful and friendly. great way to spend our first day in Scotland
Lovely small hotel with loads of character and a really friendly welcome. A short walk from the city centre but much more peaceful with a cracking view across the Tay. The Dundee cake in the room was a great touch!
We had a nice walk around the University of Dundee Botanic Garden across the road but otherwise you would need a car to get anywhere. The location was easy to find. Nice they had a restaurant on site.
The location and the staff are amazing. The view from my window the second time I stayed was on the river side and I really liked it. The hotel environment was very quite giving it a special charm.
It served the purpose very well for us. We are. Group of friends from different parts of the country so Dundee was quite central for us all. The price and location of the hotel suited us
The owners were lovely and very informative about the local area. We had a few fun chats. The hotel is near the main street where we had gorgeous food and even a karaoke evening.
This is a cheap hotel(maybe the cheapest in Dundee). The staff were excellent and made sure my pregnant wife was comfortable providing extra pillows etc.
