Probably good for beginners (less than 3 trips). Anything more and you’ll be bored after a day. Resprt is dreadful - like Blackpool on ice. No atmosphere, just bars, average restaurants and limited skiing.
Two good things - Rila hotel is lovely, and Victoria restaurant is a gem amongst some very basic food offerings

Borovets is a great place for families looking for a ski vacation. It's not to hard to get to from Sofia airport. Just 77 minutes away from the airport. The town felt safe and quiet even at night ( at least where we stayed). It has a green slope which is ideal for beginners. The blue and green slopes are right next to each other. This enabled me to see my daughter ski on the blue slope while I used the easier green slope which was too easy for her. The lift is safe and efficient. The slopes are wide enough to accommodate all the skiers without feeling too crowded. There are lots of good options for ski lessons and equipment. Personally I recommend Ollie Moly Ski school and rental. One piece of advice: don't change money to BGN in the airport. You get a much better rate by changing in Borovets. There are plenty of change stores in the town. The town is very close to the ski slopes. There are plenty of places to buy food

Beautiful slopes and lots of chairs available high on the mountains. It is however extremely crowded at the bottom gondola. It opens at 8:30 but at that time the queue is already very long and it's going slowly. We spent almost 45-60 mins staying in the queue at the bottom gondola. Also, the closing time is 4:30 PM. We would have expected that during Febr when the day is longer that they will be open much later than that.

Slopes were not well maintained, especially after it snowed overnight. They would become bumpy quickly after start of the day. Lifts timinings are also stange - cabin starts at 8 am, while Yastrebec Express at 8:30, so if one wants to go up - you have to wait very long time at Mid Station. I think it would be a great idea to leave 2 or 3 cabins empty, every now and then, so people waiting at mid statuon can board quicker.

The resort has seen better days.
The resort has seen better days. As a native from Bulgaria we can see the hordes of people hitting the slopes during the winter(when we visit) and if you plan to visit during the weekend - don't, you will ruin your experience. We are talking about 20minute waits on lifts, no space to walk due to lack of parking spaces to handle the traffic load and so. Week days are still calm and you can actually enjoy it. Another tip - if you want to eat, go to the near by town Samokov(5min drive) instead of eating on the slopes. It costs as much as 50% less and the food is better.
Staff was good, little bit serious some times but nothing bad. English is improving, good breakfast, nice view, not the best of the best hotel, but if I come again to borovets I would stay at the same. Distance to the ski/snowboard tracks is about 13 minutes walking although there’s is a car that can leave you there for free. I never get to used that transportation, I walk. Was a good distance to digest the breakfast. A lot of games to play in the place..
I must say that Yastrebetz view aparment exceeded mine expectations. Location was perfect, very close to Yastrebec 3 slope, but keep in mind that this is advance ski slope so it is not suitable for beginers. Apartment itself is located in Borovets Hills complex, which means you will hace access to all amendities there, like pool, spa etc with fee. Aparment was specious, beds were OK, and kitchen had all the required elements. Great experiance overall!
Staff were very friendly. Very good choice of food from the breakfast and dinner buffet, different choice of food every morning and evening. Room was very warm. Nice communal area downstairs with a fire to play bored games and have a drink. Feels like a nice family run hotel, feels homely. Fresh towels every day.
About a 10min walk from borovets centre where the bars/restaurants and ski slopes are located.
The room and bathroom are very spacious. The hotel is about 5-10m drive from the slopes, and the hotel transfered us in the morning and returned us in the afternoon. There is a separate leisure room in the hotel with a pingpong table. The staff is nice and friendly. There is a hotel restaurant, the included breakfast is decent, with the option to eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant as well.
The location was perfect minute's away from the ski lift bars and restaurants. A nice quiet spot located in the woods . The owner and his staff gave us a very warm welcome and were very polite and helpful on arrival. Would definitely re - visit this hotel.
Clean & tidy- Polite & professional staff
Very good price
Thankyou Saint George's Hotel borovets 🇧🇬
Quiet because it’s away from busy area in Borovets. Still, we can drive to the resort area and lifts in 10 min.
Great breakfast!
Restaurant is a little pricy, but food is excellent 😊
Staff is nice and attentive.
Spa area is clean and enjoyable.
You can use English without a problem.
The cost is not very high compared to other accommodations.
Good location, close to the slopes. 15 mins walking from SanSki rental (next to Iglika slope), where we used ski rental and wardrobe.
- Situated in the forest with nice winter view.
-Spacious room (double room).
-There is a mini bathtub, which is a nice extra to relax after skiing (in case it's well cleaned).
Great hotel surrounded by old pine trees, in a perfect location in Borovets. Pool was amazing and we very much enjoyed the lounge with the fireplace. Our room was a marvelous, spacious suite with comfy beds and we had our own balcony! Breakfast was very good! We will sure be back for more days!
Average hotel with good value for money. Location is 5 min drive from Borovets center but there is a free skibus from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were very good with a lot of different tasty dishes, also plenty of vegetarian options.
Spa and pool were nice after a day of skiing.
This was our second time staying at the property, it’s a great place to stay in Borovets. We loved staying there. It has exceptional food, friendly staff and always kept clean. Will definitely re-book. I highly recommend this hotel.
Our family go-to hotel in Borovets. The Finnish chalets are very comfortable, staff are excellent - particularly in the restaurant, and all the facilities are perfect.
Will be booking again before the ski season ends.
Apartment is 3 km from center if Borovets in beautifull forest, very quite, very close to ski track. Connected with hotel Borovets Hills with spa and pool (32 C deg).... All in all fantastic
The breakfast and location recommend this hotel.
The view slope is worthing to pay a litlle more.
The kids areas are appropiate and encourage them to relax and play after ski.
Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Good variety at breakfast.
I will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone I know considering a holiday in Borovets.
We truly recommend TES Flora apartments accommodation. We have been there many times and seen different apartments and that is our first choice for Borovetz.
Very clean and good looking, the food was very good, the room was clean and freshly painted.
You could rent a bike from the hotel and go around Borovets.
