Incredible city in lovely Normandy! A lot of wonderful traditional French architecture, roof tops with ardoise, a lot of boats in the port, seagulls - you will find much more than you can imagine! We like Normandie very much, we stayed in Deauville-Trouville-sur-Mer many times and decided to research sea cost far up to La Havr. So we arrive to Honfleur only just to walk during a day, but - we stayed for night))) and after that for one more night))) If you really like France and especially Normandy, you will never tire of walking there, no matter how long you are there!

A very touristy place to visit.
A very touristy place to visit. Lots of places to eat and drink that get packed very early for lunch and dinner. Not cheap. No need to go back but I can see why some people would be attracted to the quayside etc.

An absolutely lovely town visually, with a 16-17th core and one great modern(ish) art gallery (Eugène Boudin) plus one v quirky museum (Satie). It's stuffed with private art galleries (some of them excellent) and restaurants (most decidedly average, but then even average moules frites are v nice); that's because it's tourism central, with the old part of town wall-to-wall holiday lets and the streets thronged with rubbernecking tourists (including us). The rest of the town, around the edges of the vieux ville, is pleasant enough, with real shops and local inhabitants. The beach, a short way out of town, is long, sandy and vast; the viewpoints above the town are worth visiting both for the views and the quirky Notre Dame de Grace; and Honfleur is well placed for visiting the likes of Deauville and Trouville, Le Havre (another fine museum/gallery, with lots of Raoul Dufy), Etretat (forget the town, it's hell trying to find somewhere to park: make for the gardens up above it), and Calvados country generally (for the local markets and local produce. Like Calvados)

A pretty coastal town in Normandy where many artists lived.
A pretty coastal town in Normandy where many artists lived. The Boudin museum is worth a visit. The celebrities sculpture park (Garden of Fame) is great for a walk - beautiful, well maintained, peaceful. (Free public toilets.)The old town has interesting architecture, but the area around the harbour is full of tourists, sundry shops and eating places catering for the crowds....

Honfleur was such a delight , we decided to stay an extra night than originally planned, so much to see.
Plenty of history with historic and beautiful buildings around the harbour.
So many restaurants, cafes, shops and bars.
Every meal we had was delicious, serving time was quite lengthy, everywhere was extremely busy.
A pretty place to visit. I would like to stay again but longer next time.

Honfleur is very pretty, especially the harbour.
Honfleur is very pretty, especially the harbour. It's stuffed with restaurants of all kinds, many specialising in seafood. We went there during very exceptional hot weather (for early September), and it was crowded. It might be better to visit a bit more out of season.
There probably is a beach within walking distance, but having a car we went quite a long way to a fabulous beach at Blonville-sur-Mer, which was recommended by someone from Honfleur. There is a good restaurant on the beach itself.
Very nice hotel very near centre of Honfleur, yet in quiet area and with its own gardens and pool. We were allocated a room in an annexe, with private outdoor seating area, and secure parking via security gate with electronic access. Breakfasts were good, buffet style with a good variety available. Pool was very nice, well maintained with very nice loungers available, and great supply of towels. All in all, highly recommended as a place to stay.
Fantastic little quiet hideaway with parking right outside. The garden, peace and quiet was the highlight for us and having our car adjacent was important as we had a lot of camera equipment etc that we would have had to lug up from a carpark etc for most other apartments in Honfleur where parking is an absolute nightmare! The owner Sarah was there on arrival to meet us ( you would never find the place otherwise!). Thanks for a lovely stay.
This is a beautiful property with fabulous buildings and gardens which are all immaculately maintained. It is a peaceful haven just a few minutes drive from lovely Honfleur. The staff were all very helpful and there was a very good continental breakfast. Our room was really lovely and very comfortable. Clos de Grace was the perfect place to stay at the end of our extended holiday in France.
This place is a real find. This beautiful house is elegant and classy and Jean Christophe is the perfect host. Breakfast by candlelight with bone China crockery and surrounded by antiques in this classic home. The bedroom was comfortable and well appointed. It's an easy 10 minutes walk to the centre of Honfleur, so the location is ideal. We couldn't have asked for more.
Typical chain hotel in a very good location for reaching after late-ish ferry arrival at Le Havre. Obviously an older hotel but nicely refurbished. Easy access from motorway. Very convenient for a visit for a visit to Honfleur next morning. Quiet, plenty of free parking, large, comfortable bed and excellent keenly priced breakfast.
Delightful apartment in Honfleur, tastefully decorated. The location was excellent. A quiet side street with boulangerie at the end of the road. Very close to the harbour and free parking nearby. The apartment was very spacious and if the weather has been warmer we would have made more use of the outside seating area.
The hotel is a lovely traditional building in the heart of Honfleur close to the harbour and all its bars, eateries and shops. Our room was compact and high up with rooflight windows rather than a view out, but it was well arranged and comfortable and we were probabbly lucky to get it in peak season!
A nice studio in a separate building in the very heart of Honfleur with all main facilities you need. A closed parking space which is a great thing in Honfleur that have big problems with parking even in October when we were there. The host is available at any time and always ready to help.
Outstanding location in the center of Honfleur. Charming building. Family rooms were small and tight. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms weren’t super clean. Breakfast of croissants and baguettes was too basic for €15 per person. Staff was very friendly. And again location was perfect.
Great location and walkable to all interest points of Honfleur. Away from busy harbor area so quieter at night. Very easy check in and check out procedure. Parking provided for additional cost although tight spot to park in and challenging to get to without familiarity to the town.
They had the best breakfast croissants we had in France - large, moist, flavorful - really wonderful. Breakfast was a feast and the service was excellent. Christian and Mia were wonderful hosts. Parking was free and very convenient - right in front of the bed and breakfast.
Although advertised as budget, these small hotels are really great for short stopovers and are better than any other form of accommodation considered to be budget. Location here is excellent, just a 3 minute walk into the centre of Honfleur. There is free parking nearby too.
Gaelle was that absolute most gracious, welcoming and helpful host for our first day in France. What a beautiful property and wonderful people. We will be back! Thank you for the great hospitality 🥰
Hotel Du Dauphin is in a great location in Honfleur. The staff were friendly and the room was suitable for our stay. Room was cleaned with fresh towels daily.
